@daniel..cooper I will get a smaller one lol 😊 unless you would like to share your big bottle..you will never run out. EVER. Love your videos. Keep them coming! Wonder if you would get a teardrop with the glue added and dropping it in that liquid ..or if this would help you make your little statues. Hmm
Very interesting! Ive tried to find a way of stopping the glitter from sinking, ive only found that leaving it to as close to the working time has shown the best results, but this is absolutely epic 😍
Thank you 😊 I have tried that also but it can still sink a lot, also, we are at risk of taking our eye off the ball and having it set, this way, we just mix and pour 🥰
THANK GOD that you are blessed with such BRILLIANCE! You are truly a Resinologist (New Word just for you)! Thank you sooooo much for sharing your discoveries. They are not just game-changers they are life-changers! ....more than you may ever know! 🥰😍💙
OMG! I see so many resin artists over saturate (IMHO) their resin with glitter because of sinking! This needs to be shouted from the rooftops! Sheer genius 💞
Hey love the video, great experiment. Could I make a request though. Having to watch with CC and sometimes I can't see what you're doing because it's cover by the captions. Could you try and keep the action in the middle or top half of the screen please? It would be very helpful for those who need the captions to enjoy your amazing videos ❤
The sunken glitter is more dispersed across the front surface with the glue not all clumped at the lowest point like the plain resin. Like it. Now, I'm going to get glue😊
What in the world?!? This blew my mind. I’ve been struggling trying to time out specific timing for glitter. This is genius! Sounds like you need an other collaboration resin mixture 😉 Thanks for this!!
OMG!!!! I was struggling with glitter sinking too! I just got off work , opened my phone to UA-cam and bam! There you were with an answer! Thank you so much for sharing 😁
@@daniel..cooper I tried this but didn't have Elmer's clear glue so tried another clear glue. It does NOT take very much!! I tried it in my bead molds and, while it took time to get it in the mold, it worked! I used UV Resin.
AMAZING results with the glitter dispersion test! I quit using glitter ages ago bec it sank. Now, I have no excuse not to use it! Lol TY, Daniel, for this experiment! 💗😊👍
Thanks for that. You just saved me from making a mess mixing in glowing Elmer’s glue with UV. I bought it for making slime and therapeutic putty with borax.
Wow! You are amazing! I love glitter, so thank you so much for this experiment 🙏 I’m new to epoxy resin and I’m learning so much from your videos. You have a very soothing voice and I love your gentle laugh. The editing of the videos is also very good. Thank you for working so hard and for sharing your talent. It’s very much appreciated 🤩
Daniel, I have a feeling ALL you future experiments will be using the clear glue because you enough for 3 lifetimes. 😁 I can’t wait to try this one out. Keep them coming.
You are our go to guy for outof the box great experiments that have changed the way we can use resin Daniel! Cant wait to see more and maybe experiments wth the alcohol drops!
That’s crazy how much the glue effects it immediately. Great experiment! It would be interesting to see if there are any adverse effects with a deeper and larger mold? More mass basically. Obviously would need to be careful to not exceed the recommended.. not by too much anyway.😅 I have done that.. (exceeded the recommended) by quite a bit actually but, I also refrigerated it for a couple days. Great job Daniel!❤
Yes, lots more to test, I think it would work just fine, it's just getting to know the ratios and maybe splitting into more than one cup to prevent flash cures, or mix in a shallower/wider mixing cup.
I appreciate your experiments so much. They save me so much trial and error (and waste!) in my learning about resin. I can't wait to try this. Already ordered the glue.
Most definitely I can see a much greater layered and 3 D depth effect with using the glue. This opens up all kinds of possibilities in the pursuit of resin art . You got my gears turning..Thank you.
I would love to see this experiment on a larger piece. Now that we know it works on smaller pieces, I want to know if it works on larger pieces (like trinket dish size)
I have missed way too many videos!! I am going back a couple of months. I love the flower with the pearl coloring. Looking through the thumbnails I see quite a few that I need to try out. I need to catch up!!
I was just scrolling thru YTs vids after seeing your video and i came across the artist that do tumblers and all the challenges of runny resin etc. Your glue/resin idea could go a long ways towards solving many issues of dripping and losing color/glitter depth etc. they have.
I did this not to long ago with the same mold using black iridescent glitter. Love that glitter. It wss extra i had from something else i was making and by then it was thickening.
ooooooo! This could really help with the bracelets I do. I normally have to do a two part pore to keep the glitter from sinking too much. Ordering a small glue now!
I love that you have that monster size glue bottle and you using the minutest amount to add to the resin 😂 That glue would be gone in a week at my house, with the kids using it to make slime. I wonder how this would work with blooms! Fascinating
I love this…..Daniel you have missed. Your calling sir!!! You need to be a professor and teaching!!!! Your great at it!!! ….love this….so what I am walking away with is if I add some clear Elmers to my resin to thicken it up my glitter will not sink all to the bottom but will be able to float in the whole of the piece? This is phenomenal!!!
I’m glad I found this video. I was struggling with trial and error. I’ll try to find the same glue on Amazon Japan. Thank you for sharing the information.
I think you may have broken the resin world in a fantastic way!! I don’t use glitter often bc of how it settles (and the mess) but I think I will try this!!
Late comment, but I exploit glitter's tendency to sink when making backings for my pendants. After curing the first layer of UV resin and dusting the back with mica powder, I pour epoxy resin mixed with a backing color and extra fine glitter over the back. After it cures, some of the glitter will peek through the mica and add extra sparkle.
Oops. Might of added too much elmers glue. I couldnt get it to drop 1 blob at a time. Next time will dip my tool instead. I have to go to work, am assuming there to be a catastrophe when i get home in 6hrs. Luckily only experimenting at mo. Love watching your videos, they inspire me to the point i want to try straight away. Am i strange? I get excited from others demoulding. Thanku lovely man
Its okay, phew, nothing bad happened. Googled it, sounds like the GlassCast 10/50 2:1 mix may of averted a diaster. I couldnt get the glue 'elmers clear' to do little drops and when mixed, the silicone spatula stood upright on its own. Eek. I am a newbie and am only experimenting at mo. And yes, the glitter beautifully suspended, thankyou. I have now subscribed.
I've seen a lady, Louise do thise copper wire resin petals. If she saw this experiment you are doing she'd be right on it. It's got me wanting to try something out I have been thinking about fir a cool project
Game changer Daniel!! I might actually start using glitter again knowing this information! Question though - if I am mixing 4 oz total (2/2) for a piece would it still be just a tip of glue or tipS until thickened? WHERE do you come up with these wonderful ideas???
Hmm, hope i can find a smaller bottle of clear glue lol. Now i have to try this. Darn glitter sinking all the time. Thank you for the experiments. ✌️❤️🤣 peace, love and happiness
This is 2 part epoxy resin, not UV resin for anyone wondering 😊🥰
And the glue is Elmers Clear, the link is in the description box so you can see the bottle 😊😊
Hmm
Oh that was uv resin not epoxy. Sorry.
Daniel do you mix the two parts then add the glue?
I have a question Daniel can I use acrylic paint instead of color paste or color pigments
The resin community is in debt to you! You will save a lot of people valuable time and resources by sharing this knowledge. Thank you!

Definitely a difference between the two. No more waiting for my resin to thicken before adding glitter. Thanks Daniel.

I really appreciate your helping me out with sinking resin!

Yes, like perfect balance 😊🥰
Thanks!
Thanks so much for the Super Thanks 😊 🥰
Thanks for this, Daniel. I always get so annoyed when my glitter sinks, no matter what I try. You rock! 👏🏻😁
You are so welcome! 😊
Another great one Daniel 😊
As soon as you said it made the resin thicker, my mind went to petri. Hope to see an experiment soon! Great work!
You and me both! 😊😊
It's pretty amazing what a tiny bit of that glue can do! Thank you for doing experiments!
Your experiments are bring resin to a whole new level of art. Nailed it. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

No problem 👍
😮great idea 💡 i will try. I also try for the flower. Thank you so much🙏👏👏👏
Most welcome 😊
I had given up on being able to suspend ashes in resin. Even semi sifted ashes with no big pieces. I'm definitely going to try this.
It could be very risky to use ashes with this atm
@@daniel..cooper I have some test ashes, I'll report back.
