Dany & Byanca, thank you so much for such a great video, and introducing us viewers to Serbia and Belgrade.
It's so nice and interesting to follow you, and in this time of pandemic, and restrictions to travel.. it's a good medicine. Through your videos, we get a lot of inspirations about where to travel when it will be more easy to go abroad )))
Thank you again so much, for sharing, and your videos are always filled with a very nice and cosy atmosphere. Take great care, both of you, and enjoy your stay in Serbia :-)
Thank you 👍☺
Love from Serbia 🇷🇸

Serbian food is awesome!!
If you know you know 🎅
Give her heart❤️
They should be grateful for the Ottoman-Turkish cuisine. If they weren't there, there would be no such thing as a Serbian cuisine.
@@bnur4253 So you think that Otoman empaire give something good to Serbia? I dont think so
I wish it never happened but you are very welcome în Serbia as a tourist
B Nur ofc Serbia inherited some food recipes from the Ottoman Empire since they were occupied by the said Empire tf 😑
Awesome! Nice country...🇷🇸
My country is so awesome.
Dany, you are making the world hungry 😋 watching you eating good food.
Thank again enjoyed the video.
Every sight of my beloved Belgrade , the city of my birth , my early childhood
and my youth brings me to tears. I am thousand of miles away. I have lived in
the United States for several decades after the completion of my graduate studies.
Here I have fulfilled my “American Dream “, holding on to two, often three jobs ,
receiving a merit scholarship , obtaining a graduate degree and finally teaching
high school and college English to American students. It seemed impossible
to achieve, but I did.
I miss my Belgrade, my warm and hospitable people , my culture , our delicious
food......
Thank you for the video. Happy you have enjoyed our fabulous food.
I miss it so.........Continue to enjoy you stay and keep making great videos.
Мили Беогрде, ти ћеш заувек живети у мом срцу. Волећу те и

Живела Србија и заувек наше Косово! Живела Црна Гора!
Живело Прљвославље! 🙏

I am Serbian and Croatian - Burek is life!! I love the spinach one the best. 😍 When I somehow find places that sell it in Brooklyn, it’s a huge win.
Burek is meat only! Cheese, potatoes, spinach etc. are pies (pite)
Burek and pastries rule
There are a few Albanian places in Brooklyn that make it. Its very good too. Im Bosnian and hands down Albanians make the best burek. Well its a given when burek is traditionally an Albanian dish!
@@fluz2222 burek was not invented by Albanians so it is not a traditional Albanian dish. Nobody knows exactly the origin of burek. Although I read that the first burek as we know it was made in 1494 by two Turkish bakers in Nis, Serbia
@@mildew1 burek is an Albanian dish that was introduced all over Balkan and including Greece and turkey by Albanians. Albanians are the only people in the Balkans that had the biggest migration outside of the Albanian territories. Albanians that were forced to move to turkey introduced burek to the Turkish cusine. You don't have to be an Albanian to know this. Im Bosnian and I always remember my grandfather saying that there is nothing like an Albanian burek.
How does youtube know when I'm trying to diet to recommend me videos about Serbian food, every time 🤯😵🤣😂🤣
glad you're enjoying our country! go to tri sesira (three hats) also in skadarlija and have their "sarma", best dish ever in winter!
You guys are totally right when you say Belgrade has so many different areas. You should really check out the Vračar neighborhood where the Saint Sava temple is. You can walk there from your apartment, it's like 20 minutes by foot. Also, don't forget to see Belgrade Waterfront :)
Congrats on the 200k milestone! 😀
Thanks Conor 💯👍😁
Serbia is unique.
My country is the best :D
Land of real freedom!!!
@Atishi Jakazura that's rude to tell about my country tbh
@Atishi Jakazura That's your opinion. Idrc Because i love my country.
@Atishi Jakazura Can you go keyboard fight somewhere else, whoever you are?
Check out "Pekara Trpkovic " it's close to Slavija square, regularly it's always a queue so you will notice it easily. Also "Rankovic Pekara" one of my favorite, they have the best burek and pastry.
I believe Jakovljević has better burek. They don't put that much filling in it as Trpković does.
great content and beautiful videography, thank you guys for coming! x
Glad you enjoyed it!
@@Danygotaworldtosee That Karadjordjeva steak is also known (slang) as a "Girl's dream" You can guess by shape and size of it. Your girl know what to order...
Burek isnt super oily, its super greasy because it is baked with pig fat. And that is why jogurt is a must when eating a burek, especially meat one.

Nije vise sa svinjskom masti. To su promenili odavno da bude "Halal" zbog turista. U Beogradu skoro nista vise nije sa svinjetinom sem ako nije svinsko meso.
Wow! Nice seeing your beard and mustache and still looking good!
Haha thanks man 💯👍
Hello we hope all is well . the food looks good and the face says it all im sure Byanca was not holding back on her thoughts lol what woman does not like their comfort food . Thanks for sharing stay safe stay blessed Love and Light Sarah and Glenn
Feel the vibe man, with music and editing.......feels awesome!

Outstanding. Just came across your channel. Looks like a lot of nice videos to watch.
Go for it 👍💯 let me know what you think
Nice.. I enjoyed this video 😃👍🏻
Thanks Mario 💯👍
Great video Dan!
Nice video, minced meat we call pljeskavica and it was supposed to have lepinja bread with it, it makes it tasty.
Please visit quay(concrete hall) on Danube. Great view and many good restaurants there. Enjoy your trip to Serbia🥰
And ofc Avala Tower😉
Thank you for this Video hvala 👍👌😊🙏🙏🙏🇷🇸
Guys you’re amazing . Go ahead!
the pljeskavica you've got isn't very "serbian" you've only got half the dish. Pljeskavica is served with ajvar, vegetables, bred and sometimes even grilled vegetables and not with frenchfries, they only do that for the tourists. I'm getting mad at the resturant for serving the dish like that hahahaha.
Odmah mi se jede pljeskavica🙈
@@cocolocofamily759 i ja isto😂
:D :D :D you know nothing
@@milanstojadinovic7419 are you saying that pljeskavica is originally served with frenchfries and without any ajvar?
I think you look like Serbian football player Luka Jovic.

First comment, and first like for ur video, I really love watching ur vlogs, lots of love from INDIA
Awesome. Thank you 💯👍
Song "Ječam žela" 😀😍❤
Thank you for this great review! I will visit Belgrade and Gardos Tower (Zemun) soon too!! Thx
Karadjordjeva šnicla is one of the best Serbian food and is everywhere good. But pljeskavica and ćevapi - you are not ordering it in the restaurants. You should order it only in kafana! It is mixed meat and it is preparing quit differently in kafanas. This pljeskavica in the video doesn't even look as it should be. Most of Serbians say that kafana is THE INSTITUTION! The best traditional food, much bigger portions and at the same time cheaper than restaurants. Of course, live music should be there too, if you want 100% experience! So, you should go to some of kafanas in Skadarlia, it is close to the center of the city (e.g. Tri šešira, it is famous kafana). Also, I recommend you to try Walter ćevapi with onion and kajmak - you have it in famous Strahinjića bana street.
Great vedio ,Dany 🙂🙂
Ich liebe Serbien 🇷🇸👏👏👏👍👌❤️
Awesome place
Karadjordjeva mmm yam yami😋😋😋🍻
Dany, you should read "Brave new world" too. The things nowadays look more like in that book.
U should come to Leskovac(i'm from Le) , cuz Leskovac is the source of Pljeskavica ( barbecue, grill) and Paprika itself. :) same country other City :) Believe me, u will not regret it. :)
ily danyyy!!!!! love ur videos...ur every single thinggggg....! love from indiaaaa!
I wonder what made you to come to Serbia?! my birth country i missed it!
If you want something without meat or animal fat ingredients ask for POSNO.
i am serbian and i saw this and now i feel like eating serbian food
Zavicaj, means place where you feel home.😄
Go to the nearby Avala mountain and make a drone video of the monument and the TV tower, I think it would spectacular!
check st Sava Temble and Avala tower
Banja Luka is place if you wanna try cevapi next time, our pita is kind of really good too👍 greetings from Bali tho🤗
TRY BUCKO PIZZA WITH BEEF SALAD ON IT, ITS IN FRANCUSKA STREET
I like your videos❤️✨
Sad mi se zbog vas jede burek...
Because you, I really want to eat burek now.
Hlo, dany nice to meet you again. You look different because of your beard and mustache. 😊😊😊
You have to eat burek and drink yoghurt together. It's a whole different experience 😊
Your comment made me laugh, as I THINK that Burek has a completely different meaning In Polish!! :-)
That's exactly what I did bro haha
Name of restaurant is ZAVIČAJ or:
Z-zip
A-america
V-western
I-italy
Č=C+H-charity
A
J-yugoslavia
It means, home-land, domestic land, mother land, place where are you from.
Your spelling is incorrect : ĐORĐEVIĆ Serbian: Карађорђева шницла/Karađorđeva šnicla) is a Serbian breaded cutlet dish named after a Serbian revolutionary Karađorđe. It is a rolled veal or pork steak, stuffed with kajmak, and then breaded and fried. It is served with roasted potatoes
and tartar sauce.
When was Napoleon asked who is the greatest military leader, the French emperor Napoleon answered: It is easy for me to be great with our experienced army and huge resources, but far to the south, in the Balkans, there is a military leader who emerged from a simple peasant people. weapons and only cherry cannons to shake the foundations of the almighty Ottoman Empire and thus liberate his enslaved people. That is BLACK GEORGE and to him belongs the glory of the greatest military leader! .
There are expensive and also cheap places in Belgrade, as in any other city in the world. For fully enjoyment you have to find domestic serbian friends. You shall learn from them everything about Serbia and Belgrade also. Impresive history !!!!!!!!
To learn first why and how to eat....first of all !
again great video - very handsome both
Food is much better in a small towns, Niš and Leskovac have a great barbecue (roštilj), in Belgrade food is expensive and not so good (ok, you can eat something good here and there, bhut...).
Perfect timing ON the food video , Dany, as I was curious about what kind of food Is popular there!! It looks fantastic - I could DEFINITELY get used to those types of meals!! But, it cost
$ 1,900??!! 😀
PS It seems like people there speak GOOD English, which is another reason why I'd like to visit!!👍
PPS Enjoy 📘 "1984," it's a good read. You might want to check-out Upton Sinclair's "The Jungle" as well.
it was 1.900 Serbian Dinars, approximately $19.
@@vukasinmileusnic2481
Thanks. I was just messing around, of course, but I really wasn't sure how to convert it to 💵USD, so thanks for the info!! And for $19 , that's a LOT of really good looking food!! I think I would eat like a King there!!👍😀
@@charlies.5777 Just move the decimal place two spaces to the left for approximate cost in US dollars (or divide by a hundred), as a Serbian dinar is equivalent to a penny.
@@jobrock1079
Thanks. So, the food looks GREAT , especially since I like yogurt, I can easily figure out the currency by moving the decimal twice AND I Can speak English there. I definitely want to visit Serbia now!!👍
@@charlies.5777 I wholeheartedly agree with your observations. Come, visit Serbia. You won't regret it! It's even better if you move here and start experiencing a healthy, balanced and safe lifestyle in this wonderful country. Life is overall great and fulfilling here. Monthly expenses are very affordable, a lot lower than in most western and north european countries and America. People are very friendly and hospitable. Serbia has a rich history with great architecture and beatiful nature. Prices of food and clothing are a lot cheaper compared to those in the western and northern European countries and America. The Serbian cuisine is one of the best. We eat lots of meat and dairy products, bread and pastry with various types of salads, pickles. If you have 600-800$ to spend a month you can live an enjoyable, healthy life here. It's better to live in Novi Sad or Subotica, because the expenses, fees are like 2-3 times lower than in Belgrade. You can rent a small apartment (1 room) for like 100 - 150 $/month. Monthly fees (electricity, water, trash, internet and central heating if any) don't exceed 100$/month. You get a nice cup of espresso or capuccino or a big glass of beer or wine for like a dollar. If you have a solid income above 800$ you can live like a king here.

Fenominally good food in Serbia!
Serbian food is 1,000,000 times better then american ....natural tasty. I'm moving back to my Serbia. As far as possible from this outdated and so darn confused people of North America in 2024 right after my taxes paperwork completed in April-2024. Then I'll party in Belgrade for five days and to be with my friends there waiting for me. Long live Serbia ! Serbuan food and people is the best in the world.
Karađorđeva is a schnitzel not a sausage 😄
Is it good? It's outstanding.
if you love Ćevap go in Belgrade to local ,,Kod Pribojca'' Best
Bro in serbia like bmw ia 5000$ but in america is like 7000$ bc we have litlle money peyment
You are so funny with your "Serbian"
Glad you are becoming to love where you are. Trust me you will be sad when leaving🇷🇸
For some of the ladies in kiosks it could be more understandable if you say Bus plus, which is a local vernacular for Bus ticket.
If your kafana bill is 1,910 dinars there are almost no so poor Serbians who would not leave the 90 dinar tip to the waiter.
Im fasting rn, want that karadjordjeva soo bad 🤣🤣
👏👏👏👍
Hii Bro ... I'm your big fan from Tamilnadu in India😎😎😎😎😍😍😍😍😍😍

@@Danygotaworldtosee aham, ok. Thx for answer. Enjoy ✌
Hii sir I am your big fan from north India
hey guys happy new year and all best on every corner on your journey
its interesting how all foreigners keep making the same mistakes by trying food in big towns and then thinking they know how much delicious food is in that country
from my experience, lets say if i go to russia, ukraine, poland, england, india, finland and so on, i would go to some village in those countries to taste how much tasty food in that country really is, food in villages is at least 30 times more delicious than in towns, its soooooo huge difference
the biggest reasons why it its like that would be, a much better quality of ingredients, everything is made on more natural and traditional way, slower and with more details, and women in villages cook with soul, they just know how to make everything super delicious based on their huge experience
maybe the best example would be, who bought milk in town store and then bought milk from village and tried it and saw how huge difference is taste is
that and even more is the difference between food in town or in the village
I think pljeskavica is fast food, for an restaurant always try with mixed meat plate
No it's not fast food.....
This guy is soooo cute
Karadjordjeva is also known as "woman's dream".
It was definitely decided, kind of spiced out.... because of "little fun" addition at Friday Night Out with friends
Men, how come some of those tourists are so ignorant
and so damn uneducated !
How much was the dinner meal at that restaurant for two?
George Orwell, classic! Very sacarstic! You have to read it, 1984 and also animal farm! It is really super cleverly written. You have to look beyond the surface, yet just on the surface, it is an interesting story also.
Here it goes...Another “uuuuhhhhmmmm” food tasting video
Hope not haha. Cant stand these
@@Danygotaworldtosee it was way better than what I expected with the preview. Keep it up!
