I don't get this... what does the Khan mean by that? I'm not very far in the novels so far. Can anybody please explain?

The Khan is a khan. He's the Emperor of his people and his own Empire. He behaves as such. I'm a fan of the Angel, but I'm really starting to like the Khan as well.
Agreed! The more we see of Jaghatai the better he gets.
i'm a fan of the Night Haunter and the Angry Boi
Better sooner than latter. However, he is not a khan. He is the khagan, the war-hawk, the khan of khans.

But i dislike some of fulgrim dids in horus heresy time.
And i love Khan's superior intel's on everything.
And i feel if khan face the fulgrim, we will be seen surprise in Khan's face for the first time.
@@m.mkhademi4648 You are loyal :) isn't that sole claim one of reasons why you dislike what Fulgrim did during the treacherus reign of F*ckin' Horus? Or should the Ordo Hereticus have a closer look on you? If you are truly loyal, you have nothing to fear ;)
(And levity and RP aside, I would also like to see Khan's reaction to Fulgrim's trans-transhuman form... :D )
Khan is a litarary "savage". Amazingly pragmatic and says it how it is. Lol, sorta ironic since he is always mistakenly called a savage when in actuality his people are very cultured and sophisticated.
khan pretty much represents a western view of Genghis khan.
Pretty much what happened with the Mongols
@Deathcoldan You must be one of those elementary school kids who think the Mongols was similar to the Hun.
The irony that its the mongol based leader that turns out to be the most reasonable of the primarchs.
@@Eclypsia13 I am no mongol but Chenggis Khan Ordu was by necessity both sophisticated and extremely organized. There is a reason why him and Subotai conquered as much as they did so quickly. It would seem that several people have a cartoonish stereotypical view of the Mongols or nomadic horsemen civilaizations in general.
Jaghatai is really cool. I hope he returns from the webway soon.

The Khan is always blunt and to the point when he talks with his brother Primarchs. Its not because he is trying to be mysterious, its because he feels one should only say whats needed and nothing more. I think he is a underrated Primarch, and the last few Horus Heresy books will bring out his true glory.
I don't know much about the Kahn. He reminds me of a ancient warrior in from Japan who conserves his energy and then explodes for combat.
I don't know, I'll have to read some of his books.
I'm learning more about the Khan as well. He is becoming my favorite Primarch. I consider him neither good or evil, but pure. He stands unwavering, resolute, he is the rock that will not move for another man's purpose, only his own.
I wish GW releases Jaghatai Khan's armor name weapon name and sidearm..
Jaghatai: "Of all his 17 brothers, Mortarion was the only one who, like him, had remained on the utter margins during the great crusade."

This is marking the first shots fired during the Horus Heresy
If the Primarchs have a Thanksgiving dinner together......
Lorgar: Insists that everybody must pray before eating and makes an overly long speech about the history of Thanksgiving (omitting much of the gruesome details)
Russ: Forbidden from drinking alcohol, gets wasted with his stash anyway
Magnus: Harassed by a drunk Russ
Mortarion: Forced by everyone to take a shower (first time in forever) lest he causes food poisoning or makes someone sick, still manages to make things awkward by taking jokes too seriously
Fulgrim: Late for dinner due to his inability to choose between a purple scarf and a magenta scarf, makes everyone uncomfortable with his strong, tacky cologne, very self-conscious about his appearance (especially around the fabulous hawk boy)
Khan: Rolls his eyes out of annoyance towards Fulgrim being Fulgrim, nearly got forgotten by everyone since he rarely speaks, mocks Fulgrim for being a tryhard
Sanguinius: Trying his best to host dinner and keep his brothers from biting off each other's ears, looking angelic and fabulous effortlessly (unlike a certain peacock)
Guilliman: Offers to help Horus and Vulcan prepare dinner, insists on following recipes to the letter
Horus: Smiles and nod as Guilliman nags about recipes, secretly annoyed by his blue brother, also mad that father is skipping Thanksgiving (again)
Dorn: Finds some time to fix the broken roof, manages to piss off Perturabo (again) by unwittingly insulting him
Angron: Angrily complains how past Thanksgiving dinners suck, why Thanksgiving is celebrating how colonists built their colonies on the rotting corpses of American Aboriginals and how dad and Guilliman the golden boy don't understand
Alpharius (or Omegon, we can't tell): Fans the flames and snickers behind his brothers' backs
Perturabo: Finally gets sick of Dorn and throws a hammer at him, breaking a window by accident
Konrad: Stayed in his room to have nightmares, only to be awakened by a hammer to his face
Vulcan: Ignores personal boundaries and hugs everyone, only to find the turkey overcooked
Corvus: Glares at Lorgar while drowning out his brother's babbling with metal music
Ferrus: Late for dinner because his roommate couldn't pick a damn scarf
Where is Perturabo? Oh S*it! We forgot to call him!
NO ONE LIKES PERTURABO
Perturabo at home with a Turkey in a can for one, I can hear the whimpers.
Konrad: Annoying everyone being a fatalist and emo boy. Keep insisting is not a phase.
Corvus: Appears out of nowhere with the beer. Is always there if needed, but keep mostly to himself.
Alpharius: Try to help everyone and show how good he is. Everybody shrunk at their little brother except Horus, who gives him the spoon to lick.
Vulkan: Is kind to everyone, make a great food (maybe overcook...) and give the best hugs in the galaxy.
Angron: Throws a tantrum.

And they said Prospero was burned to the ground.
And I think Monarchia got it easy compared to that burn.
He is incredibly strategic. He laughs and feasts with his sons but he is cold as a rock when he speaks with his brothers. To him they are not his brothers but other lords in a feduel system who he has to keep a well diplomatic, distant relationship. He sees his father as his overlord, not as his father. His heart beats for his people. He cares only about the best for his people. I love that about the Khan. He sees things for what they truly are and acts accordingly. I admire Jaghatai's logic based thinking more than anything. His only flaw is probably his impulsive nature. I think he knows this weakness of his and does his best to control himself. This control is what makes him appear cold and distant. He is like a high functioning adhd patient.

He actually identifies as fabulous
Jaghatai’s greatest power is humility. He has no ego. He has no desire to boast, instead he’ll sit and listen to other make fools of themselves. Despite his reputation, he doesn’t rush headlong into battle, he observes and calculates which path is best.
He has no ego and he has a zero-tolerance for ego
Mortarion using the phrase "breathe easy" was gold. I'm disappointed that Wolf Lord Rho didn't comment on it.
11:50 This sort of burn would have made Vulkan proud and full of willingnes to give a big hug of friendship to his brother. I guess Jaghatai is all kinds of savage.
Every quip by Jaghatai should have been followed by the thug life meme. They should have also called in an Apothecary to treat Fulgrim, because the Kahn burned him.

I don’t even play as White Scars, but honestly. I think He should be the Loyalist Primarch to return next. He’s just so badass...
Khan is a great mix of the Mongols and the Spartan stoicism
Definitely makes me lean toward white scars
Spartans are not the only militaristic society ever
Jaghatai Kahn the savage! He burned Fulgrim so bad that Fulgrim had to get himself healed by a chaos god.
*Insert "OOOOOH! MEME!" here*
Then fucked on again by rylanor
The Khan has always been my favorite Primarch, even when I was a noob and all I knew of the universe was Sphess Marines, and crazy sci-fi Orkz. When I first learned of the Primarchs, I latched onto him and the White Scars immediately, even though I kind of hated their color scheme.
I've just always been a huge fan of The Mongol Empire, and Space Khan was just too cool of an idea, even compared to something as crazy awesome as a blood-drinking angel in power armor. It just sucked that for the longest time, it was hard to learn much about him. Even after I learned about all the cool lore, and awesome feats of the others, the concept of Space Mongols was just too cool for me to change allegiance.
I remember reading somewhere about his reaction to The Council of Nicaea (or whatever it was called.) I'm paraphrasing, but he thought "I should have been there. I could have changed things. My people knew of the Warp, and understood that it's not an evil to be feared. It's a power to be respected. With proper discipline, it's too important to ignore."
His tribe and Legion have the whole like totemic shaman theme going. Kind of like the Space Wolves, but less savage tribal elemental channeling themes. More like an almost Native American vibe.
I've always been a fan of The Lion, since I got into WH40K. So I'm very bias when it comes to the Warmaster debate.
Lion El' Johnson pros:
Grand strategists
Natural leader
Affective in combat
Melee skills are just as good as Horus'
Knows his enemy
Lion El' Johnson cons:
Not friendly
Hard to get along with
Dogmatic
I believe Horus was the perfect Warmaster because he was liked by almost all his brothers, and he was a cunning genius.
I'm a big fan of the lion myself. And I agree Horus was the perfect choice. That makes his fall all the more tragic.
@@wolflordrho 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Horus said while each of them had parts of their father, Sanguinius was the best blend of all of them and it should have been him.
Horus was only liked by everyone cause he was 2 faced with everyone, he would change even his behavior when around others to better suit his needs.
Best warmaster would have been Khan but empiror did not trust him.
On Horus, I don think he would of been choosen for Warmaster without being found first, based on the culture of Cthonia (basicly mad max), Horus would of been a warrior primarch much like Angron, Russ or Khan, without any of the wisdom, knowledge, charisma or charm he learned from the emperor on Terra for decades
XD Fulgrim: I heard you do strange things to your ships.
Khan: ...I heard you do strange things to your warriors.
Fulgrim: THOSE VIBRATORS WHERE SANCTIONED
Mortarion: Now we will have to fight to gain a glance from Horus, but he is not the architect of this- he is one of us, it will lead to trouble.
(Curb your enthusiasm theme over slideshow of the Horus Heresy)
Can confirm - by the end of Scars, I was fully in love with the white scars and the great Khan whereas before I was indifferent. I absolutely adore this interaction at Ullanor, and the Khan is absolutely correct in his statements
Imagine a fighting game where you could play the Primarchs against each other, in different forms and such. Like a Mortal Combat style.
"IMPERIAL KOMBAT!" *Cue Music
You should do when Jaghatai met up with Mortarian after the Heresy started. I think that was in White Scars novel as well. Man, he burns Mortarian and tells him about himself. In the early part of the Heresy, even the Emperor and Malcador didn't know on which side the Kahn was or who he would side with.
The more i get to know the Khan, the more I think he might be one of the wisest Primarch. He's always so deliberate and thorough.
Jaghatai Khan vs Clone Fulgrim who currently stays at Trazyn the Infinite's house of curiosities.
We could get The Khan and Clone Fulgrim vs Daemon Fulgrim. That would be epic!
Khan would bury Clone Fulgrim. There's a gap of centuries, of not millenia in experience. If Fulgrim hadn't been turned and stayed alive, that would have been a lot closer either way.
The Khan is my second favorite loyalist Primarch behing Sanguinius only cause if the Horus Heresy series. It used to be Corax but the Khan gives zero f****. Which is great
You and me both. I'm building a blood angels army but I think the next will be white scars
Without your input I would be lost in lore. You are the best! Thank you for this necessary reprieve from life.
Thanks for putting the books at the beginning of all your videos. I've bought a ton of their audiobooks based on your videos! Great job as always
It’s embarrassing how much I love sanguinius considering he’s a fictional character. Malevolence only stoked that fire. Rip the brightest one

Did the Khan just call Fulgrim a "tryhard" ?

Yes, but in more eloquent manner - as befits a Son of the Emperor.

The Khan's personality is the same as his legion's fighting style. Direct & brutal.
Fulgrim getting roasted is brilliant.

Jaghatai is like the best aspects of Anakin Skywalker and Genghis Khan in one badass demigod
The insight about the primarch working like rock-paper-scissors against each other is exactly right, and yet more reason to believe the primarchs and legions were designed to wipe themselves out after conquering the galaxy from the beginning.
Imagine when he comes back from the web way he has a rematch with fulgrim
Thats a rematch I want to see. The Khan would win, even though Fulgrim has risen to Daemon hood so would be a great fight.
It's interesting to think how different would Khan and Fulgrim be if they weren't swapped as babies. I wonder how it would affect their personalities and legions.
In the immortal words of James Tiberius Kirk: "Kh-aaaaaa-nnnn!!!!!"
Goddamn it! You beat me to it
I wonder:
Could there have been a deeper stratagem at play here?
Could the Chaos Gods have set it up in an attempt to insure Horas was found first?
They're said to have given the Emperor the knowledge that he needed to create his sons.
Is it possible that knowledge would have allowed them to know the possible end results, the very character traits breed into each Primarch?
I'm fairly certain they were paying very close attention to the creation of the Primarchs evidenced by their stealing them.
Could that knowledge in some way have lead them to conclude which among the Primarchs would be more likely to fall to Chaos, which were the easiest among them to corrupt?
I guess if they had that knowledge they could have chosen any of the Traitor Primarchs to be found first and spread them across the different lanes of approach the Imperium would take in it's re-Unification Wars?
There's also the fact that we know time is fluid for the Chaos Gods so is it possible they'd seen the many possible outcomes in advance?
I realize there are probably no answers to the above questions but I find them interesting to ask none the less...
i recently listen to the audio book of "Scars", and personally while Sangius' voice did come off as overly meek to me, but i did not feel like it was overall detracting because the part is so short and the rest of the voices I thought were so good, that it wasn't really a detractor for me and the Khan's voice when he explain why Fulgrim would lose is so amazing that i still think you should have recommended it.
I agree with you, it's a huge missed opportunity to have turned the Primarchs into daemons before the heresy ended. They should have been turned in response to their failures to destroy humanity. Not as a boon. Because once they're turned, they are enslaved to the warp. I cannot imagine many of them willingly handing over their freedom like that unless it's because of retribution to failure.
Jaghatai Khan, like many of his brothers, didn't get a lot of "screen time" in the original portions of the HH series. In the first few books of the Siege of Terra series (which I have found FAR superior to the HH series thus far, for various reasons), Khan gets a lot more play. He is definitely a unique personality and a badass on the battlefield.
I love the scars...demon or not the Khan is a awesome swordsman..and the scars is a great book..I read it so long ago..it was nice to go back to it
I've never paid much attention to Kahn. Man, I was wrong. 11:50 - THAT was epic.
“I’ve heard that you do strange things to your warriors.”
That was the best response to Fulgrim The Khan could’ve said.
Literally every white scars book I read makes me fall in love with the white scars and jaghatai more and more and I truly wish they were more common and more covered in the lore. He is an absolute badass and the Legion are incredible. More than any other Legion, they are able to think as individuals without sacrificing their unity or straying too far from what makes them more human in the same way loken or garro are human. Jaghatai is insanely underrated and scars is one of my favorite horus heresy books.
Also mortarions view of the primarchs being different for different things was a perfect way to look at them. I don't like morty but I didn't think he was wrong in this part of this book. When reading the entire chapter, I loved hearing the way he poked at fulgrim. I also think he's only able to have these jealous views of his brothers because he is still bitter at his lot in the world since landing on barbarus. He is always focused on what is unfair and wallowing in it rather than changing it. Sanguinius was already the true best of them in ruling the room
Jaghati became one of my favorites as soon as they finally started writing about him.
I think that Horus being found first was all down to the foresight of the Ruinous Powers. There is no such thing as fate in Warhammer. Everything happens for a reason.
I think it was planned that Horus be found first to learn from the Emperor more than his brethren and to turn against him with more experience and knowledge.
7:39 HAH! You nearly couldn't stop yourself from saying it the proper way!
"from >my boy< Mortarion here"
The Khan: Master of BURNS!!!!!
The Kahn is becoming my favorite loyalist primarch. Cant wait to get to him in the books
I NEED more Jaghatai. Easily my favourite Primarch, he is the quintessential 40k Mongol. A man of few words, only uttered after careful consideration. Cannot wait to read about his battle on Terra.
"I am the wrath of God. If you had not committed great sins, God would not have sent a punishment like me upon you"
Genghis Khan
The Kahn is a solid badass.
Fulgrim died the moment he signed on with Horus during the heresy
i think even slaneesh giggled at that burn
The only thing I learned from this story is that Sanguinius is the biggest troll among all the 20 primarchs
Khan is up there as well

@@wolflordrho cheers buddy. Keep these coming, a lot of good for thought and very well read.
I think that the Lion is the proto-primarch the Angel. This is one of the reasons he is so hard to read, because the Emperor has masked him to ensure that NONE know it is him.
It is why the Emperor doesn't worry about his loyalty, why Malcador sent him to work with Russ, why the Lion deceived both Curze and Fate Weaver.
I love the Khan. I love his primarch book. I think that he is the guardian of the Black Library.

The Lion laughs at these scrubs trying to sword fight.
deVaras I think El’Jonsson would respect the Khan’s sword skill if he could beat Fulgrim by that much. Fulgrim was no slouch when it came to swordsmanship, even by Primarch standards.

What are the “strange things” that fulgrim does to his sons?
The Khan's whole personality is just "fuck around and find out"
I must admit that I have grown to love the khans more and more since reading the books.
I was thinking Scars was gonna be a slog and I was gonna have to just get it over with...my god though, probably one of the best books in the series. This makes me want to read it again right now
Idk who to pick. Tbh, I still feel like Fulgrim would win. Admittedly I have a bias because Fulgrim is my favourite primarch after Rogal. But I also think Fulgrim would win in a one on one sword fight but if any weapon goes, then I give Khan the win.
Cracks me up how you say "ass" and not "arse" with that British accent 😋 Great vid
Would Horus have become Warmaster if he had the same start as Konrad Curze , man ur gonna keep me up all night xD
Funnily enough, his quote said to fulgrim I actually used this very day, it was a perfect way of putting it.
I love Jaghatai so much as a character. Imagine in the future if Jagathai came back, and roughly around the same time, Clone Fulgrim was freed, they reunited and after a bit of time, Clonegrim, with all of his previous life's memories before he turned into a demon prince, challenges Jaghatai to a duel and he makes Clonegrim eat those words that Jaghatai told him so long ago, but not for any prideful boast, but to humble Clonegrim, and make him realize how his arrogance was his downfall. They could make it so Clonegrim keeps trying, aiming to best him, as Jaghatai teaches him how to put his playful arrogance aside so that he could be the man he was meant to be, and be so much more prepared to fight the real Fulgrim in battle. A humbled Clonegrim vs Demon Prince Fulgrim. They could even have Jaghatai join him, and they fight as brothers to take down the prideful demon prince, showing him how far he had fallen, and how this Clone of him could have been him if he hadn't been corrupted and had a better head on his shoulders. You could even throw Mortarion to separate the two, and Fulgrim vs himself, or Jaghatai vs Fulgrim and Clonegrim vs Mortarion and have that dynamic. There is so much potential to be had. I can't wait for the day Jaghatai returns, even if it takes decades for it to happen.
And then these two alongside Girlyman and ghost of Sanguinius beat some sense into Magnus and bring him back TTS style if they have to! Then Magnus go and beat some sense into Perturabo! God I would LOVE to see that.
What are the “strange things” that fulgrim did to his sons?
He’s implying that he fucks them.
Genetic manipulation
Wolf Lord Rho have you read the first Black Legion book yet because it outright kills the Jaghatai Khan vs Fulgrim hype train due to some very heavy Siege of Terra spoilers.
