Brazil '06 was Michael's last race with Ferrari and one of his finest performances. Puncture on the opening lap which put him dead last. He finished 4th after a stunning drive
Still thinking of you Michael, you always were an absolute joy to watch on the track, I hope that wherever you are, you are recovering and know that your time as an F1 driver will never be forgotten ♥️
Why have you lowered the sound of the V10 engines? Like wtf? We want to hear real engines, and the ones in the video have been modified to say “hey guys, V10 engines were not that loud, you can see it in our video”. But the thing is you have lowered the V10s volume to make them look worse. Sorry guys, but Im never gonna forget those awesome engines and Ill never stop hating the crappy V6T aka vacuum cleaners
You are some sort of paranoid? And fuck off already with that stupid sound, F1 engines never were and never will be about sound. V10 were unreliable as fuck, lacking efficiency. V6T are 10 times better
MajicGecko PMPL dude just hear the clip of Austria: V10 never sounded like that. V10’s were one of the reasons why F1 was SO great between 2000 and 2005. V6T sound like crap, break in every single race (yeah, because all that MGU K and MGU H are crap) and sound like vacuum cleaners. If I go to see an F1 race the very first I expect is to hear a good engine sound. And modern F1 cars are crap at that. Glory days of F1 have passed. Now we have the blessed guy in his Mercedes racing against nobody in his vacuum cleaner. Back in the days we had the great Schumi in REAL F1 cars with REAL opponents. Mikka, JPM, Coulthard or Alonso would crush Vettel or Hamilton in the V10 cars.
@@javi3266 mate your comment is so ridiculous that I have to take it apart sentence by sentence you said: "dude just hear the clip of Austria: V10 never sounded like that. V10’s were one of the reasons why F1 was SO great between 2000 and 2005" I already told you that sound never was and never will be in any way influencing the design of the engine. Its just a side effect and to very low degree controlled by engineers. They are focused on reliability, efficiency, economy, power and other important things. And if they could choose they would build less noisy engines not more because that's the demand of road car industry and companies like Mercedes or Renault don't enter the sport for glory but to be on the top of development of new generation engines that can be later in bit less extreme form transferred into road cars. Also drivers and mechanics will be able to hear something by the age of 50 thanks to lower noise. Then you said: "V6T sound like crap, break in every single race (yeah, because all that MGU K and MGU H are crap) and sound like vacuum cleaners." So I already explained to you all about the sound. Now lets destroy your pathetic and completely untrue theory of V6's breaking every single race. Not sure if you are aware but in 2018 teams were only allowed to use 3 full engine sets per car for entire season that is somewhat longer than that in 2000 for example. Now that being said it was V10's that were changed every single race not V6's unless we are talking about 2015 Honda power on that "brilliant" McLaren chassis. So stop making up things, V6's can do 10 times the distance V10's were ever designed to go. Later you said: "If I go to see an F1 race the very first I expect is to hear a good engine sound." Are you blind or something? First thing I expect is good racing, if you are blind I understand you are all about sound but for normal fan what counts is wheel to wheel action and trust me its not dependant on engines but on aero. And finally you said: "Glory days of F1 have passed. " This made me laugh the most :) First of all Schumacher was the blessed guy in his Ferrari and cheating Benetton that faced nobody. Considering team orders at Ferrari between 2000-2004 and Barrichello unable to fight Michael even when he was faster I would 10 times more prefer to watch Hamilton Rosberg fight for 3 years. I agree in last two years Hamilton barely had any competition, Bottas has no balls to stand up to Mercedes bosses like Nico did and Ferrari either is fucking Seb over or getting fucked over by Seb which helps Hamilton keep winning titles. But still 2014, 15, 16, 17 and 18 were much more exciting than 2002 and 2004. Now lets get to them real opponents, Mika was great driver I wont argue here but are you some sort of slow to even put Coulthard there? I thought im dreaming, DC is ultimate beta male, every time he opens his mouth on C4 is to say how much better Hamilton, Alonso Schumacher or Vettel were than he was. Even he would laugh at you claiming he is better than Vettel and Hamilton, get some fucking grip mate. Same with JPM much better than DC but are you crazy to say he was better than 4 and 5 time world champions? Last but not least Michael Schumacher struggled a lot after his comeback into modern day cars, you need completely different set of skills to even be competitive in them cars, amount of times they change gears every lap, settings on steering wheel and manage all information from dashboard is mindblowing and MSC couldn't adjust to V8 cars so I don't think he would have easier time with even harder and more complicated to drive current V6's. Alonso as great as he is and as unlucky as he was still was loosing to either Vettel or Hamilton in new generation cars, trust im if they can manage being great in much more complicated to drive cars they wouldn't have problem with V10's.
MajicGecko PMPL holy crap you have tons of free time to write that lol. V6T can be faster, more power efficient and whathever you want, but F1 is losing fans and everyone knows why: the blessed guy just drives, Vettel crashes and Bottas is Hamiltons dog. Thats it. The same for 5 years. Oh, and Vettel driving that engineering masterpiece called RB for 4 years. You know...titles mean nothing? Button has a world title and as much as I like him, he was good, but not brilliant. He did NOT deserve the 2009 title. He’s like Vettel (well, not that bad actually): he was given the best car on the grid by far. He had no opponents for 10-15 races. Thats it. Same with Vettel. How can someone beat Alonso by 130 points by the end of 2013? Is Vettel that good? Or was it because he had a bad team mate like Webber and he had the best car by far? Also, JPM even fought for the 2003 title with that crappy Williams. JPM is better than Rosberg, Bottas, Vettel and a few others. He had a crappy car that did not allow him to fight for the WC. Mikka was brilliant. And nope, DC was there when Mikka wasnt. F1 is losing fans and you can argue as much as you want, but the truth is people want to see closer racing (like 2000-2012), noisier cars and stewards that dont fuck up every single race with stupid penalizations. Its racing.
@@javi3266 yeah free time is one of them things I have plenty of :) Now back to the case I couldn't disagree much more on your second comment too. First of all if F1 is loosing fans (which is arguable) its not because of noise of engine but because fans who turn away from the sport never understood it in first place. You see F1 is not only racing series, its pinnacle of motorsport and automotive technology. The designs and technologies invented and then developed in F1 will one day support road car industry. Just like ABS, traction or launch control or KERS. That's also one of the reasons why teams like Mercedes compete in F1. For decades GP2 or F2 was much more interesting in terms of competing but its F1 that is most popular because they are the ones pushing technology to the limits. Now when it comes drivers it will always be your or mine personal opinion but today there is much more talent than there was in 2000-2004. Mika was good like I said but DC is and always will be considered rather average. JPM also wasn't in F1 long enough to say he is some sort of great. Someone like Jenson Button huge majority of the fans and experts will be always considered much better than Montoya. Don't forget that Jenson beat both Alonso and Hamilton as their teammate in McLaren and was never outclassed by them. He is really solid driver who was winning even in inferior car that nobody expected him to win with. Sure his title run wasn't maybe most difficult one but definitely nowhere near as easy as MSC had in 2002 and 2004. Now Vettel is one of the greats of the sport and will forever be considered one of the best drivers in history and for good reason as well. He won 4 consecutive titles and at least two of them he won thanks to his amazing talent. His performances on certain days were just astonishing. Also don't forget he took pole position and won Monza in 2008 with a car that was at best as good as todays Sauber. Sure Webber wasn't the greates teammate but was 10 times better and more competitive than Rubens was for Michael, or should I mention Jos Verstappen or Johny Herbert? I mean compare to them Webber is a superstar. Last but not least Hamilton. You will seriously struggle to find someone who dislikes Hamilton as much as I do but truth of the matter is he is one of all time greats. Kid is amazing on the track behind the wheel and trust me it will be a sad day when Hamilton retires. So sure on 99,9% of circumstances the WDC becomes a guy with best car. That was always the case and most likely always will be. You cant blame Hamilton for having excellent car for most of his career same way like you cant blame Vettel for the same thing. They both deserved to drive top cars on the grid because they have shown on many different occasions how good they are. I started watching when I was a toddler on my dad's lap, first season I can somewhat remember was 1988 and in my personal opinion 1995-2000 was the least interesting era I have watched and 2002 and 2004 were by far the two worst seasons I had to watch. Although I still love f1, I miss all the classic racetracks like imola and magny cours and old hockenheim. I miss refueling. I miss the v10s. But most of all I miss schumi. The greatest driver I’ve ever watched.
Do you miss the even-worse-than-now FIA? Do you miss the shitty points system? How about the inability to detect illegal parts on cars? What about the HUGE lack of overtakes? Right I forgot, the name “Schumacher” on the board with a loud engine suddenly makes this the best era of F1... btw, Imola provided next to NO overtaking opportunities unless the car ahead was a good 2-3 seconds a lap slower. Old Hockenheim is just a glorified Monza track with a stadium section, at least with Monza; spectators can actually see shit as well as 1/2 the track not being invisible to the tv viewers as well. Refuelling would be a nice addition in the 2021 regs though I doubt they will. Maybe not you, but way too many people who fall in your line of thinking think this era was the perfect era when that’s so fucking far from the truth.
google spynetwork People LAUGH at Williams for being 1.5-2 seconds slower around most tracks yet in this era, you’d still be a lower mid-field team. Take williams out and you have about 1-1.2s deviation from the slowest to fastest teams today which is unprecidented. I’m willing to bet you weren’t even coherent in 2001 because if you were, you’d remember just how BORING these races were. Slower cars stay behind and the faster cars sailed off into the distance with the huge deviation in performance among the teams. The deviation in performance and reliability is so miniscule today and the competition is FAR more tightly knit than back then. Wake up dumbass you’re just feeling nostalgic (for a time you likely weren’t even coherent like I said earlier) lmao
For ALL you Schumacher Adelaide haters this onboard here 0:35 shows you very much indeed that he never turned into Damon Hill. Look at his steering wheel inputs and how is front wheels are moving. He is coming from the left aproaching the corner pretty much in a staight line and Hill goes for gap that is always closing.
Schumacher went from a team he won 2 titles in a row with, to a team that hadn't won in the sport for over 2 decades. He helped to build the foundations of that team over the next 3 years and then went on to dominate with that team for the next 5 years. He helped and was a crucial part in building their success. He also came out of retirement and helped developed Mercedes into what they are now before Hamilton took the seat He was in. Brawn himself said Schumacher had an immense and crucial part to play in developing the car and team into what it was to dominate the sport with Hamilton at the wheel. Schumacher has and always will be the greatest F1 driver the sport has seen, alot don't like him, but anyone with common knowledge of F1 won't dispute that. Hamilton is a great, that can't be disputed. But he is not the greatest of all time. Oh to answer about others with poor equipment, Schumacher also has the most wins in a non championship winning car even though he has less wins than Hamilton, further proof Hamilton is only great with the greatest car against the other greats records.
Watching Schumacher racing was the epitome of my teen years, racing in his prancing horse and kicking butt all around. I wish I could go back and see him racing in his Red arrow all over again :(
Ferariiman he was a great driver but also a big cheat. Clip no2 illustrates that and there’re numerous more. Sad as he didn’t need that. He would have been WDC 3-4 times without the cheating.
@@KL50450 Not really, 1994 was both michael and Damon's fault. Michael could have left more space, and damon knew Michael's driving style so he could have waited and overtook him down the straight. So his 7 wdc still are fair, imo.
Michael S240andF360 Cheating back then was somewhat accepted though. Look at the back to back years with Prost and Senna knocking each other out to win the title. I think it was the advancement of onboards and computers where every little thing can be replayed and analyzed otherwise we'd still be seeing that kind of shit.
@@KL50450 don't embarrass yourself. 3 instances I can remember, all on track, in the heat of the moment, split second decision making. All of which would probably have been done by most other drivers had they been in those fights, except for Monaco Rascasse parking I'll admit. In any case, that's what made Schumacher the envy of every other driver, he dared to explore every boundary and that's what a racer should be like. Maybe stick to watching golf, or the cry babies of the current F1 grid may actually suit you well.
Michael Schumacher's races are always more exciting than the ones by our dear Sir Lewis Hamilton. It's just that those were the “wild, wild west” days of F1
The way forward is going back in time. Bring back full ground effects and get rid of those hideous and fragile front wings so they can race wheel to wheel again.
No, too much aero is the problem, cars can't follow close and can't overtake without. DRS was a band-aid solution to that problem and hopefully that problem with go away with the upcoming regulation changes.
Schumacher’s achievements in F1 will always be a part of the sport from his first title with Benetton to his last with Ferrari Michael Schumacher will always have a special place in my heart
Seriously? Are these the 'best' crazy onboard moments with Michael?? I suppose they were trying to mix it up bec there's tons of stuff from qualifying, from Spain'96, Spa, Silverstone, Adelaide/Melbourne, Canada, Argentina, Hockenheim, Monza.... From almost every season including the 2005 WDC and in his second stint with Mercedes esp his full throttle overtake of Sutil (?) at Eau Rouge... There were sooo many...
the move on damon hill..well..damon could have been patient, the car was probably broken.. and i usually blamed michael for this one but the camera from his car just shows him trying to keep the lead. damon did a dumb move here
1:32 I don’t think people watching this onboard for the first time and who didn’t watch the race live have any idea idea how close Michael and DC were to touching. A very brave pass, particularly as Coulthard knew he had to come in for a drive through penalty anyway and was helping out Hakkinen
It was a very low speed impact, I don't think it's been proven whether his suspension was damaged or not, considering we didn't see his speed on the next straight, as he retired after colliding with hill.
0:10 you can See that Schumacher gave him space on porpuse Not like today f1 like verstappen allways crashing mentality back then was way more passive and friendly love it :)
You never really appreciate fully during these times that your lucky enough to be witness to a man of the likes that won’t be seen again for another 5-6 maybe even 7 Generations to come . I miss this guy so much. F1 will never be the same without Michael Schumacher.
Yep, he was the dirtiest driver of all time.
@@FrançoisRacicot-u4d yes, he was and still the best!!
Hey F1, how about you start uploading full races from the past? it'll be awesome. choose and start with the best, most striking, and do it for us.
LIKE WHO AGREES
I'd love to see them do more livestreams like they did for Brazil '08
Lewis Hamilton #5 you wanna watch full races from the past? Easy, just watch it on F1 TV

The best of all time.

Although I still love f1,
I miss all the classic racetracks like imola and magny cours and old hockenheim.
I miss refueling.
I miss the v10s.
But most of all I miss schumi.
The greatest driver I’ve ever watched.
I miss them all too
Do you miss the even-worse-than-now FIA?
@google spynetwork "Get rekt dummy" just displays your level of thinking; can't rationalize with someone who is an idiot so I'll end it here.
@google spynetwork The numbers do reflect it; you are so delusional.
A cheat.

@@KL50450 You have no idea what you are writing about!
No DRS, no KERS , no bullshit, just pure talent.
You know??
With Drs or Kers, Michael would be more than 10 times champion.
Damn, those V10 cars were FAST (and sounded like a thousand angry killer bees on steroids) :O
Back when F1 wasn't ruined with DRS. Nowadays it's just cars sitting behind until the next DRS zone for a free overtake.
The way forward is going back in time. Bring back full ground effects and get rid of those hideous and fragile front wings so they can race wheel to wheel again.
😍Yes! Oh God YES!!! 😍 Mwah!💋
F1 was so much fun with Schumacher, Raikkonen and Montoya
Don’t forget Mika Hakkinen.
Who knew Kimi would pay him back in the same corner 6 years later :P two fantastic drivers with a lot of respect for eachother.
And they didn't crash into each other. Had it been the arrogant verstappen, there definitely would be a crash
@@surajpatil2386yes, nowadays driver talentless. Just rely on cars power.
I agree, I used to watch his races but youtube is complete garbage so I never really got to see his skills again after he retired.
the move on damon hill..well..damon could have been patient, the car was probably broken.. and i usually blamed michael for this one but the camera from his car just shows him trying to keep the lead.
damon did a dumb move here
I never had the chance to see him compete, but very skilled driving...🦋💯💯💯
I loved everything about the Schumacher era, especially the high revving engines.
Still better than youtube rewind
Still? Infinitely better!
To say he was an outstanding driver is a massive understatement.
One thing I loved about Schumi was his racing lines. Awesome video!
Onboard with Michael is like seeing a cat playing with a mouse before he takes over.
1:32 I don’t think people watching this onboard for the first time and who didn’t watch the race live have any idea idea how close Michael and DC were to touching. A very brave pass, particularly as Coulthard knew he had to come in for a drive through penalty anyway and was helping out Hakkinen
When Michael hit the wall in 94 I just thought, wow because today the car would just break into 1000 parts and the big hit just did nothing to the car
It was a very low speed impact, I don't think it's been proven whether his suspension was damaged or not, considering we didn't see his speed on the next straight, as he retired after colliding with hill.
It damaged the steering and suspension...
Love to see the f1 cars of this time 😍. The year 2000 has the best sounding cars.
Міхаель найкращий.
Michael best of the best best.
Michael Schumacher winning the F1 World Championships 7~Time All in V10 engines >>> F1 Red Baron Forever! ♥️🌷🕯
In 1994 he drove a V8, but the 95 Benetton was a V10
You are a badass if you race with Montoya like Schumi did.
That drive in Brazil 2006 has to be one of the best drives in f1 ever regardless of wether he won or not
Less music please, the engines have their own. Keep fighting Michael!
RIP F1
0:10 you can See that Schumacher gave him space on porpuse Not like today f1 like verstappen allways crashing mentality back then was way more passive and friendly love it :)
Even though Michael changes his line in the braking zone. But let's ignore that just to crap on Max...
Tha only Driver who had a record of zero DNF and with complete podium presence in a season... 2002... GOAT.
Simply the best

HILL WRONG IN ADELAIDA 94
You never really appreciate fully during these times that your lucky enough to be witness to a man of the likes that won’t be seen again for another 5-6 maybe even 7 Generations to come . Still today holds the greatest records at the pinnacle of motor sport and hopefully will still be holding most of them for another hundred years to come . Ferrari owes him a debt of gratitude that couldn’t possibly be repaid in 5 lifetimes and the Fans will never forget the greatest F1 driver of all time , may the rest of his life be as peaceful and comfortable as possible. Full Respect to his family that will never give up on him 🍻
Can’t understand what DC is doing there. Where is the battle against Montoya in the beginning of the Brazilian GP on the Senna’s S? That was epic
And monza 2003, crucial fight for the championship keeping montoya behind early in that race.
Great footage from the archives guys! These Schumacher videos have been very interesting
Please stop adding background music. Engines > Elevator techno
Michael, there will never be a pilot like you. #keepfightingmichael
That's when f1 was good. V10 engines, indianapolis, mika, michael, and Murray walker
Even in his dominant 2000-2004 period he had great battles with Montoya, DC, Alonso just to name a few. Can’t say the same for merc 2014-2018.
The final move on kimi proves.. He is still on top while retiring... Pls come back Michael.. U have all the love.. Michael pls pls

I've always wondered what the definition of the gesture is.
Schumacher still the best reactive F1 Driver of all time. Where was Montoya going at turn 1, good defence by coulthard, kimi distracted trying to outbrake Mika hakkinen. Who might be the only driver alongside Hill.D to measure up to the red baron
Schummy is best. Ever.
Verstappen should watch carefully Schumi's overtake on Kimi at the Senna s
Nobite Vissariónovich Cheeseburger Max his overtakes were better at the Senna s
Daan Herben an then he ended spun with a lapped car
