- I was reading Scott Gordan's book "The History and Philosophy of Social Science" when I came across this fascinating paragraph about Homer and Socrates. I thought I should share it with my viewers.

I think currently Muslim world in total except few are following the teachings of Al Ghazal instead of Ibn Rushd & this is considered the reason behind our distance from science and technology. We are definitely in a desperate need to find & reach a perfect & practicable blend between science and religion.

The dialectics of science and mysticism has to be understood, because both exist simultaneously and one concept cannot exist without the other, and this is true even within every person.
Their is an irony. Mysticism in fact rejects the existence of a Creator because it rejects cause and effect. Science says there is a cause for every happening, therefore the universe itself is the effect of a cause. Although science has not yet reached the exact cause behind the creation of the universe, yet it's continuously developing. The point here is that mysticism is a hurdle which kept humanity in darkness for thousands of years.

The reason is quite simple abbassid crushed the narrative of ibn rashud (qadria) and supported Al Ghazali's (Jabri) philosophy only to to justify their rule, their point was that they're appointed as ruler bcz Allah choose them not the current circumstances...

But both are opposite, which one to follow?
Those who believe that there is no law in nature, defy their own sense and embrace Jahiliat willingly. Any human being with any degree of intelligence understands that there are laws of nature. Learning these laws and using them for the benefit of mankind is science. These laws are given by Allah SWT. The Prophet SA encouraged Muslims to go to China to learn what? Not theology or mysticism. The scholars of Islam who discarded science in favour of mysticism did the greatest harm to Muslims and led them to perpetual darkness. There is no sign that we are willing to overcome their influence.
The five modes of Agrippa and Buddhist concept of Dependent Origination has refuted these claims of objectivity long ago. We can't escape these razors, we can only make excuses.

@@saimch.9388 no, i haven't made any claims about god. those concepts deal with the theory of knowledge rather than god. look into The five modes of Agrippa and see how whole knowledge is based on belief. religious people use these philosophical razors to their advantage but this leads to mysticism.
if you want to talk in a religious context then there were even some christian theologians who were skeptics. their mode of theology is called "negative theology". they said that we approach god not through affirmations but through negations. after all negations what would be left is something totally incomprehensible. personally i won't reduce that nameless whatever to god. it is just so beyond our mortal grasp that we'll never reach that horizon.

I think science is to examine or find out evidence of existence whereas religion established GOD as reason of existence and start defending GOD.
How you will prove reason of existence of God? Eventually you will use science

There are natural laws of matters which have been established by God,these laws are within the space and time,but considering these laws inevitable in every situation in regards of Miracles of Prophets is idiotic way to be rational,it would be over rational,God's existence is beyond the Time and Space,
So God broke his own natural laws for Prophets who are also humans.
