The governor abandoned Woodbury so as the good guy Rick couldn't leave all those ppl there. He just couldn't leave them behind. Carl is losing his humanity. He needs to be reeled back in.

Great reaction as usual. RIP, Andrea. If she didn't spend so much time talking, she could have lived. Michonne is so forgiving, and grateful to now be a part of the group. I liked the finale. Despite the gunpower, Woodbury citizens were no soldiers. Being behind walls left them soft. Rick brought them in to show Carl what compassion is. It's not all about kill or be killed. Where is the governor? How will the new prison survive? You're right, the people are the threat, not the zombies. And Morgan paraphrased the bible, blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth. He also told Carl to never apologize for shooting someone! By the way, where is Morgan?

I would've given Carl the benefit of the doubt, but after he explained his reasoning to Rick I now see that it didn't matter. That teenager he shot could've dropped his weapon and been on his knees, but I think Carl would've still shot him because he no longer wanted to give enemies a chance to come back.
I don't think he would have shot him if he had been smart, and didn't starting slowly leaning closer. You step back, you toss your weapon out of reach, get on your knees, hands behind head, and you live.

I actually love that you guys fuck with Carl so much. Yes, in many ways his actions are wrong to our modern morality, but the world's been flipped upside down, and he's a little kid growing up in it. You have to learn differently if you're gonna survive. It's kind of like Shane was right in a lot of ways, but went about his business badly.

I wouldn't call Carl bloodthirsty. Hershel told the kid to DROP the gun, and the kid GETS CLOSER with the gun /still in his hand/. That on top of what he told Rick? Carl did what he needed to do at that time. He had no way of truly knowing if that kid wasn't gonna just turn around and try to shoot. "Here, take it" as he slowly inches closer to the enemy with the gun still in hand does not look like a real surrender, and a whole battle just happened. Carl was probably on high alert and he also didn't want to take any chances. The fact that Hershel told him to drop the gun and he didn't was probably already a red flag for Carl. Idk why anyone would keep holding a gun and inch closer to someone pointing a gun at you despite just being told to drop it unless you were either really fucking stupid or planning to actually shoot and just trying to fake it. He was an enemy at the time and Carl wasn't about to find out. As for Rick, better the enemy kid than your son, I'd say. I get Hershel's concerns, but in that exact situation I would have shot too.
Carl is so right here and I'm so proud of him for taking responsibility for Dale AGAIN, as well as making sure another incident like Andrew didn't happen. I can completely see why Rick is worried for his son's humanity, but these things need to be done.
Boy am I a proud mama bear and boy do I love my son.

Regarding Andrea and the stupidity of her constantly stopping, I honestly blame the writing for that more than Andrea's character. It was very stupid for sure, and it felt like nothing but a time waster to fill the episode length.

in that situation you would not be thinking straight so dropping your gun and giving it to someone can get confused easily. you would have to be a idiot to shoot someone who was trying to comply with your instructions. carl is 100% in the wrong

@dP - When it comes down to it, you wouldn't really know if the kid was actually trying to comply or trying to get close enough to pull some shit. If it was me, and he didn't toss the gun out of reach while staying where he was (that's what complying would have been), instead of stupidly approaching in a suspicious manner, I wouldn't have taken a chance on it either. I believe that anyone who did take the chance of letting that kid get in arm's reach (with weapon still in hand) would probably be dead, and an idiot for taking the chance.

Andrea's death made zero sense. She had both hands free before he got to her. There's no reason she shouldn't have gotten out of that alive from what we've seen her do in the past.
