I just got my printer and you were invaluable to me in setting it up. THANK YOU SO very much!
You are so welcome. I’m so happy that my video helped you get it up and running. Thank you very much!
Loved this video. You explained everything so good and I was able to get my printer up and running in no time. Thank you so much!
I ordered this printer last week and it was delivered today. I’m sitting at work counting down the minutes until I can go home and mess with, this video was absolutely PERFECT. I feel totally prepared to set up my machine after not feeling so confident before watching. This is an ideal setup video
Wonderful! Congratulations, thank you very much
I pre ordered this 3 D printer. It’s on sale for $230 right now free shipping as well. My experience with Paw Paw is that he doesn’t deal in BS, just straight forward simple to follow videos.
Thank you sir, I appreciate your comments
You helped me out so much with this video.
I had a hard time getting the height adjusted.
Now its working.
That’s fantastic. Glad to help.
I ready love your video’s keep the hard work going👍🏼
Thank you so much!!
My Neptune 3 Pro arrived today. This was video was such a big help. Notable issues I ran into were finding the plug for the filament sensor, which I was able to identify with your help as it was nestled in the corner. I also found the contact sensor on my X-Axis had come loose. I found the piece in the box and was able to resolve that.
The pace of this setup video was so much more helpful than Elegoo’s 😊
Great review. i cant wait to see more prints form this machine!!!
Subbed!
Thank you and welcome to my channel.
I just pre-ordered mine....230 price point can't beat it
Awesome! Congratulations
Thank you😊
You're welcome 😊. Glad it helped you
Good video. I’de like to suggest adding one more important setup. Esteps!
It does require using pronterface since no option in the menus ( in my 6 day old printer fw).
When I did a 100 mm extrusion test at the input of the extruder, filament purged thru the nozzle, with pla 205C I only got 90 mm. Ran the test 2 times. Pronterface and a M92 displayed a E or 380.00 in memory as delivered. Using the formula of 100mm/90mm X 380 I got a new value of 422.22. I uploaded that and saved it. Now I get exactly 100 extrusion distance into and at the brass extruder inlet. I just ran the test after great prints and a 6 days, and I still get 100mm.
Being something overlooked in the reviews and not discussed in the Elegoo groups, I can’t absolutely say 380 is wrong and 422.22 is correct, so I’m reaching out for more to check it and report back.
I see new fw is now posted so I’ll try it and see what may have changed including Esteps.
I ordered the Creality Ender 3 printer and it was a disaster for assembly. Maybe I got a lemon. In any case I got a ELEGOO neptune 3 pro. The assembly was fantastic but unforunately the LD screen would not worked. Notice the Creality and ELEGOO are manufactured in Shenzen, China. In any case I returned the ELEGOO and ordered it again because I found the assembly great. It worked like a charm after 1 hr. I have had the printer for 4 months now and it hasn't stopped printing all my projects. But as time goes on I am having some issues.
1. I cannot set the default temperature for PLA. It always goes 200/70 and I usually like to use 225/65. I have the PLA temperature at 225/65 but when I start my Cura, it is back to 200/70
2. I had a power failure and I could not recover and continue the print when power came back on. I tried testing the recovery of a power failure but seems to be no possible method to recover the project.
3. I cannot save my STL files on the SD card. It does not appear on file explorer in windows 10. I have lost my SD card that had the budda and I got a 32GB instead but I cannot use it.
btw I think the filament detector is too close to the spool holder and I was having problem with the filament going through. I moved the detector over a little and used a tie bond. Never had a issue since then.
Any assistance would be appreciated..
N.B. I really like this printer very much.
Wow, I’m so sorry you are having so much trouble. I’m not sure why you would have so many problems. It does seems to be electrical. Is it possible you have electrical surges?
How is the detail level on this printer ? I mean compared to others in similar price range? Thanks in advance … great video once again. I wonder what the next step up from this is? For getting better detail.
Very cool, and at a good price point! Looks like they're sold out currently, but I'll keep checking.
This is a great machine. I like it very much.
Was out yesterday, I ordered mine today.
Warning! Don't turn it on until you've set the power switch to either US or EU or you'll break the machine!
I wish I could say this will be my next printer but I'm stuck on a 300x300 bed on my CR-10. I'll keep watch to see if they come out with one with a bigger build area. I can see it is well worth it and more refined than most I have seen.
300mm bed - this is the way
Neptune max is out now
I never hold to much weight in test prints on the machine. Tho I don’t deny this is a good printer but I had an ender 3 leveled very little and it would print the test prints perfectly
I’ll be doing many more prints. You’ll see if it works or not as I will as well. It should be fun
I also had an ender, and the test print was stellar... but everything else.. not so good.
CAUTION... the Plus does have MANUAL levelling and you MUST manually level the build plate BEFORE you perform an Auto Leveling & Calibration. There are 6 levelling wheels under the plate for this. This is due to the size of the bed. Use a sheet of paper during the manual phase and again at the end of the auto levelling phase. This is clearly instructed in the printer's manual.
Is the head supposed to be off set when starting to level ?
Yes, that is normal. It caught me by surprise also
@@PawPawsWorkShop ThankYou , Im trying to figure this thing out . I think I have it all setup right . Checked and rechecked the printer and it looks good . Now just need to print . Not sure but my rollers may be a bit to snug . Things roll ok and not wobble but not sure if they may be a bit to tight .
Usually the get loose in shipping. If they feel a little tight you are most likely ok
I tried to load the filament but it just kept feeding it through and out onto the print bed.
When did get this model? It’s not available to the general public yet
@@TheKirk48 If you placed an order on amazon a few weeks ago, they've just started delivering it.
I keep trying to print my test buda but the nozzle keeps moving the base. What am I going wrong. Is it too far or close.
How are you measuring the offset? I simply use a piece of paper
@@PawPawsWorkShop what settings should I set.
@@PawPawsWorkShop so am I going to high or too low.
If the nozzle is actually moving the base I would think it is too low.
The paper should move with a little resistance
2 Problems. He doesn't show how to use the USB connection to the Cura software, and also how to install the Elegoo modified Cura software on a linux computer.
How much did they pay you for this video?
Oh wow, you ask? How much to you make at your job? Inappropriate question!
@@PawPawsWorkShop inappropriate? It's literally a paid promotion lol. Can't be an objective review.
So rude. Get off
What would you have liked for him to tell you?
