I knew I made a good purchase. This video confirmed all my research AND more. Thanks for uploading it. I got my mars pro about 2.5 years ago now and I've loved elegoo ever since and this printer showcases exactly why. The engineers at Elegoo are really upping the ante, and putting other manufacturers to shame with every new release.
I ordered mine half a week ago, just shipped out today hopefully will be here on wednesday, i read many bad reviews about the dutch retailer (im dutch myself) so didnt order it there, just ordered it on the elegoo site as soon as i saw a restock (happens quite often but sells out in like an hour or two)
I don't know if anyone looked close enough to the motherboard but, it is fully up-gradable for dual extruders! All sockets with pins outs are populated, so that means if you know what your doing you can up-grade this to a dual. there are 3 fan outlets and they are compatable with a 12/24v option, just set the jumper pins. there is added connector already there for the hot end of the extruder #2.
Just ordered. It's my first printer. I hope I don't have any problems. Thanks for the great video! edit. The printer arrived today. Assembled in 20 minutes (it's easy), calibrated the plate, lowered the z axis slightly and sent the little Buddha to print. It turned out fantastic!!!!
Solid vid! I was confused as to why my machine had a slight wobble after assembly, you helped greatly! I'll be sure to link people to this setup guide. You did a great job explaining everything I missed in my first impressions stream.

Thank you so much for this great video! You got my daughter and I up and running and enjoying her Christmas present immediately! Including the software settings was especially awesome of you. We made a Benchy with your settings and one with the Normal default settings and yours came out a lot better while using less material. Thanks again! Hope you have a happy New Year!
Received my Neptune 3 Pro yesterday and put it together today. Currently printing a XYZ cube after Buddha. Overall it's a nice little printer for the price. However it appears that they are in a rush to get them out the door. The bed was quite loose and had to be adjusted. The print head was also loose and had to be adjusted. The X&Y belts also were loose. The belt at the top for the Z axis is very loose and there is no adjustment for it. It's quite useless for keeping the Z axis tied together. But after adjusting everything it seems to work quite well so far. Can't be beat for the price.. Gerry
Yeah mine was like that, but it also had another fault that took me a couple of days to fix. When I got it, even after the adjustments you mention, it couldn't print the Buddha or even the tool holder. It's all good now but it was really disappointing.
Awesome job! I got lucky and have someone locally who got the pro by accident instead of the plus so I’m grabbing it from him Tuesday. Your video was one of the best I’ve come across, so great job again!
I purchased a Creality Ender 3 V2. The setup was a complete disaster. Also I was never able to print with that printer. Creality support is a real joke even from Shenzen. I prepared a video on UA-cam for the encounter. Now I purchased a ELGOO 3 Pro. What a huge difference. Your video was very helpful even though the manual was limited in instructions. Creality Ender took me about 15hrs to assemble. This Elgoo took me about 1 hour. Installing the last part which was the cable holder made me realize that I put the frame on backwards. No big deal. Took the 4 screws off and reset to the proper place. Initially I was very skeptical because when the box arrived, I noticed it was also from China in Shenzen. Was I in for another disaster? So far I am impressed.. I haven't printed yet but I do not forsee any problems. Enough for now and anxious to start printing. Good job on the video. BOY!!! was I wrong.....Turn power on and said booting for 2 seconds and then screen went blank. Now if I power off and on, I just get a black screen. Looks like another disaster. Even the scan disk is blank..and I do not get connection to computer. I wonder what is going on in Shenzen, China..!!
Seems like maybe you forgot to check the power supply switch 115/220v...If in USA and it's 220v printer won't turn on or partially get some flicker on screen and then nothing. If in Europe and 115v it'll fry your motherboard/power supply.
Nice! My cousin actually turned me on to this printer. Can’t wait to pick one up since I already have an older printer that I’ve been meaning to upgrade from.
Thank you man this helped me a lot mine just came in today and it only took me about 45 minutes to get it up and printing and i was going super slow and double checking things, the budah print is looking CLEAN so far, was literally instant set up and go
Great video! Its the first 3D print video I've seen and makes me confident in being able to set up my Elegoo that just showed up today! Thanks for making such a detailed video!
Of course I would see this before I commit to my first printer. I found a great price for the Sidewinder x2 from a seller in the US, but with Amazon discounts and whatnot that I have I could get this for half the price of the Sidewinder. Granted the Sidewinder is much larger and I think more flixible for my needs, this guy could also be great and easy to use. It's so new it's not even on Elegoo's site!
As someone who has both, go with the sidewinder. Both my Neptune and my buddy's had a lot of issues, some of which we still haven't fully addressed with his. My Sidewinder X2 on the other hand was my first printer and has been an absolute workhorse. It has easily handed any project or filament I have thrown at it, including TPU and Ninjaflex.
Hey man I just got a Neptune 3 pro of my own, got it on a crazy deal! Followed this vid step by step and it was super helpful, and this setup was a breeze. Got the Buddha printing right now and its looking amazing so far. Coming from an ender 3 pro I had to mess with for hours to get printing right, this is next level. The N4 pro did not seem worth the extra price hike, and I've had my eye on this one since it first released :)

Thoughts on picking either this Neptune 3 Pro or the new Ender 3 S1 Pro as the better printer? Seems that the Neptune is quite a bit cheaper with just about as good of functionality.
Great insight and video !!! I am planning to buy my 1st 3d printer for helping with custom parts for a robotics team doing First Tech Challenge. I am kind of sandwiched between - ELEGOO Neptune 3 Pro vs Creality Ender-3 S1 Pro vs Bambu P1P. From a pricing perspective currently Neptune 3 Pro seems to be the best. Also from use case perspective for our robotics needs, we need parts that are rugged, sturdy and can withstand collision from walls and other robots. Our thoughts are to print mostly using PLA, PETG, ABS, TPU (few cases). Don't think any of the 3 printers i mentioned can do Carbon based filaments. Is that right ? Need your guidance/suggestion on which of the 3 to pick and which of these requires least tinkering or accessories and can work pretty much out of the box for the kids to help with their STEM Robotics activities. Please suggest and help.
@JustVlads Thank you for these amazing reviews! I have also seen your other review about the Ender 3 S1 - and i'd like to ask for your advice! So I've gotten this printer a week ago, the test Buddha ran beautifully, but got some lifting on other print. Anyway just wondering what the little blue tube is for, does anyone know?
I can't decide whether to buy this machine or the Ender 3 V3 SE. This has a light bar, a little more build volume, and a detachable magnetic touchscreen, but the V3 SE is a little faster. Do you guys in the comment section have any advise on which one to buy?
Hi, question for someone looking to get into the FDM hobby from resin. I want to print dnd terrain. Even have plans for a large scale airship battle. Would you recommend this (I have a mars 3 pro) or the ender 3? Maybe another?
I followed your instructions and everything went smoothly. But I am having an issue printing the Buddha, the first layer of filament won’t stick to the bed. I have tried different things but no improvements so far :(
Really great review ... Thanks so much. I have a question. Can you measure or tell what the minimal footprint is of the machine? I would like to place it on a shelf with possibility to overhang in front. What depth is needed from the very back to the last point touching the table?
Thank you for the video it has helped make my decision to purchase easier. I have one question what is the name of the "ABS filament" you used to print the blue wheels? Thank you
I really want to buy the 3 pro. I've read that its not entirely suitable for ABS. Something about the standoffs and the PTFE tube in the extruder not being suitable for it. Has this been your experience?
Question: Is Elegoo open source like Creality? Definitely selling my Ender 3 S1 as soon as this is available to me. i have had nothing but issues along with everyone else.. this looks way way more promising .
Mine seems to print just fine, but i am trying to figure out how to achieve the wrinkled look on the bottom. Slower speeds and perhaps higher temp might do the trick. Bed sligthly bent and i will probably upgrade to silicone spacers so i can manually level it.
My "home" is about 3mm above the bed. After auto levelling, my home is still too high and I have to decrease the Z offset every time. Do you know to adjust the home location?
I don’t understand fully why we run the head down before tightening fully? I accidentally bumped the head on the bottom sheet and hope it isn’t damaged :/
i just got this printer, but for some reason mine is really loud when the hot end is hot, i think its the motherboard fan, because its not a fan in the extruder. any advice?
Thank you, I followed your video to set up my NP3 and as my first project I printed the tool holder. It came out great, however a fan at the base of the printer is constantly running even when it is not printing anything. Is that normal? do I need to change a setting?

No
Do you recommend a beginner to buy it ?
Seems like he did mention it at the end that it would be good for beginners.
Thank you so much for the video.
I wonder waht you PLA retraction settings are.
Keep it up
I really want to buy the 3 pro. I've read that its not entirely suitable for ABS. Something about the standoffs and the PTFE tube in the extruder not being suitable for it. Has this been your experience?
Wow, very impressive!
I accidentally bumped the head on the bottom sheet and hope it isn’t damaged :/
i just got this printer, but for some reason mine is really loud when the hot end is hot, i think its the motherboard fan, because its not a fan in the extruder. any advice?
Can you recommend which 3d printer should I get
between the ender 3 S1 or the elegoo Neptune 3 pro ?
Thanks for the help man
Thank you, I followed your video to set up my NP3 and as my first project I printed the tool holder. It came out great, however a fan at the base of the printer is constantly running even when it is not printing anything. Is that normal? do I need to change a setting?
