Some advice for House Party: Use the dogs. There were a bunch of times you were at max trouble and you kept opening the door blindly instead of using dogs. End the party more often. You're risking over 10 pop / cash for an expected value of like, 1.5 pop. It's only worth it if you've got a lot of empty space to go. Get more contingency. You need many more trouble-reducers than you have trouble-makers. Getting a bunch of reducers in a row means slightly less value, a bunch of troublemakers in a row means no value at all. Money is really valuable. More space improves every subsequent day, resulting in more pop/money and more space + better party goers later. Buying lower-quality party goers early dilutes your pool for the rest of the run. Of course you don't need to follow any of these tips; I do love yelling at my screen. Hope you enjoy the game and keep playing!
I won yesterday by buying all bouncers, drivers, auctioneers and comedians; no dogs. My reasoning was that I could get either a driver or bouncer fast enough to get a bouncer before trouble got to high. And if I didn't need my bouncers to get rid of trouble, I could use them to remove drivers who's actions were used already. If I ever got 2 trouble before getting a bouncer, I would end the party early (especially in the beginning). Although, once the rolodex got more saturated with positive guests, I did risk the gamble 1 or 2 times. For the rest, the goal was to balance getting either as many auctioneers or comedians depending if I needed more popularity or money. In the beginning, you'll want a lot of popularity to get the right guests as fast as possible (especially the auctioneers), but in the early-mid point, it's already smart to gather a lot of money too, to increase the space of the house with. But as space increases, you'll need more bouncers to keep trouble in check. Another strategy is saving up as many drivers as possible until the board is filled to max minus the amount of inactivated drivers. Before that point is reached, drivers should only be used for an emergency bouncer. Mr. Popular is a major gamble, if he enters the room as last, then he overflows the room with the extra guest. The Dancer is less interesting than the Comedian, 4 comedians give 20 popularity for 4 money, while 4 dancers get 16 popularity for no money. But dancers are only good when you have a lot of them, while comedians are always good.
Tyler is the kind of person that says "90% of gamblers quit before they hit big" and also asks "Why I'm loosing so much money?" 40:08 come on Tyler, you had a dog to peek into the door 44:20 What do you mean "you draw your dog a bad time"? The dog was the first guess
I have never played this game before or seen it, but I am 100% sure the dog can tell who is the next guest as in "who's behind the door" not "who is following the dog" but it's Olexa, so I can't be expecting too much 😭😭 edit: the fact that the video is less than 60-70 minutes really hurts I want morrree it's sooo cooolll
"What are you supposed to do?" IDK, Tyler, maybe take in fewer trouble people? I love your risk-taking tendencies, but you're going way past what is viable in that game
@OlexaYT Yeah, some trouvlemakers are required, I can't deny. I just think trying taking slightly less could've been productive for the midgame and late game. Still, I haven't been able to play UFO50 yet, I'll trust your judgement over mine
Yeah in the first scenario I won by buying bunch of auctioneers, Comedians, and a lot of trouble mitigation. I didn’t add trouble cards. You can’t get away with that in later scenarios though.
Tyler, the way to look at it is that if you're taking a hippy and a troublemaker, you're not "cancelling it out", you are in fact increasing variance and still increasing your chance of getting busted.
The crazy thing is that Party House IS a full-ass game! the other stock scenarios have a crapload of other, different function (or some with same active function but different pop/cash stats) characters, and then there's a seeded random scenario generator which pulls a deck from all the possible characters (usually with two different win-con characters). Also the game doesn't hate you; it hates EVERYBODY. i swear to god the shuffle algorithm top-decks trouble at a ridiculously high rate. The game is fairly cleverly designed to come down to the wire most of the time. I think i've only won with more than 3 days remaining one time, and my drawing luck was *INSANE* that round; never got a party busted.
Omg thank you finally. I had been waiting for UFO50 so desperately. I always watched this series while homework and today my exams just ended. Excellent day to hop back on UFO50
House party game design has fantastic potential... I agree it would be great to see an expanded version. You can add djs and light options and snacks and different stacking options.
I think that at the begininng a good strategies is to add comedian and auctioneer. Comedian gives you 5 pop -1 cash with house full, the auctioneer 3 money. For each pair of them you go up 5 pop and 2 cash, focusing on expanding the house. While expanding the house buy hippies, and you should arrive to a point where the risk to bust is minimized.
Seeing as trouble is what causes you to gain nothing for the round, you usually want to avoid adding trouble to your deck. The auctioneer is also probably the best guest in the game. Money is really good
From my experience, you are completely right about the rockstar being good, but the auctioneer is even better. You want the first 10 or so days to priorize cash and then completely 180 into pop. I've greeded with no win conditions until the final 5 days because I know that with this scenario, you can almost guarantee you draw your entire deck with anti trouble.
Love the UFO 50 content being back! About the dog.. can't you use it even if it's been drawn early? It feels like you were only using it if it's directly next to the door, while it should be used if 1 more troublemaker ends the day. Valiant efforts though - looking forward to seeing you beat this if you plan on it :)
28:55 "I just added a frickin' loser". That shit's so fucking funny to me. He could have said: "I miss clicked" or "Oops" or "I didn't mean to do that", but no; he chose to say that he accidentally invited someone with close to zero value as a human being. It's like he intended to invite the jock Kevin M. and accidentally invited the nerd Kevin L. instead. I'm reading way too much into this; I know, but I spent a solid 10 min last night laughing myself to tears as quiet as I could with the wifey sleeping next to me. It just really got to me.

I WAS SCREAMING INTERNALLY WHEN HE HAD LIKE 10 POP AND KEPT GOING FOR A POSSIBLE 1 POP

UFO 50 has so many games that are basically boardgames and I love it so much
Just simply too good

POV: You're Wild Buddy at Olexas party. "😮 🔫👮♂️👮♀️🚓. 😂🎉 👽"
"What are you supposed to do?" IDK, Tyler, maybe take in fewer trouble people? I love your risk-taking tendencies, but you're going way past what is viable in that game
You *have* to take the trouble people. There’s no shot you get enough popularity without them to be blunt
@OlexaYT Yeah, some trouvlemakers are required, I can't deny. I just think trying taking slightly less could've been productive for the midgame and late game. Still, I haven't been able to play UFO50 yet, I'll trust your judgement over mine
Maybe yeah. I gotta try again haha
I have never taken any trouble makers in scenario 1 and my best win was with 5 days remaining.

Dude you you win the dang award for the most underrated channel on youtube, every video is a vibe and it’s always a good time. Thanks for being here.
constantly not using the dog while the party is getting out of hand is driving me up the gawd dang wall
I was under the impression you could only use it for the next guest after it, not any next guest

32:57 "Fortunately it's early. This is the time to waste... on stuff".
Oh Tyler.
My favorite dish is cooked Olexa 🙃
FYI: Security guards can boot themselves!
House party game design has fantastic potential... I agree it would be great to see an expanded version. You can add djs and light options and snacks and different stacking options.
So excited to see more UFO 50! Picked up the game after seeing you play it, so it's always exciting to see more content.
As you mentioned, this would be very easy a physical cardgame. the only randomness would be the shuffling that could be easily done.
You know that Security can boot himself? That makes him much better :)

UFO 50 is back??? Now, this is epic
haha, swapping between pilot quest and party house, this is the same as my first 5 hours with this game
We've never been more back, baby!
A UFO is never late, it arrives precisely when it means to
That first scenario is all about Dancers and Hippies. But RNG is obviously a huge part of it too 😅
nah man its about auctioneer
Seeing as trouble is what causes you to gain nothing for the round, you usually want to avoid adding trouble to your deck. The auctioneer is also probably the best guest in the game. Money is really good
Finally! This is what I've been waiting for.
Would love to see another episode on this one!
Haven't got to watch yet but man, your titles are genuinely so good... always hooks me in and has me curious
It's super rare to get a ingot. And you got it in the first 5 minutes. Extremely lucky.
Nice! I'm a big fan of Quacks of Quedlinburg.
We’re UFO 50 guys, OF FUCKING COURSE man

YAYYYYYY!! I love Ufo 50!!
Best control ever, interact and yoyo
Love the UFO 50 content being back!

What a lovely video. I'm sure nobody down here in the comments has anything to say about the dogs. Nope. Not a single thing.
I'm fucking fuming.
The play is to only have dogs. Dog is the answer.
Should use the driver to get more aliens in
Love this game!!!!
mini and max goes hard scratch that all of them go crazy
28:55 "I just added a frickin' loser". That shit's so fucking funny to me.

best guy and best game
Security guards can self remove 😢😢😢
security guards can self-boot
"i draw three trouble immediately. what are you supposed to do???" not buy trouble lol
honestly it's a skip buying anything day 1 into auctioneer day 2 angle
Lots of the games can be played at boardgame arena if you dont want to invest money in a boardgame but still try it out.
He's back in black
I don't think I've seen a yoyo used as a weapon since Star Tropics on the NES
bro, sushi go slaps

Yooooo!!! I was really hoping you were going to play party house after seeing NortherlyLion playing it.
YEEEEESSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!

I have to buy more dawgs - alexa
Please play more party house
Cant you use dogs after they moved from the door?
Oh damn if you can that’s pretty strong
@@OlexaYT judging from how dogs work "irl life" I'm pretty sure that's their functionality lol 🤣
please just think more instead of clicking blindly
Use your dog abilities smh
I'm not mad at you. I'm just disapointed
Early
Dude you need to get the comedian and NOT upgrade your house, you’ll almost granted max population instantly!
Quacks is SUCH a good board game.
It's okay guys he can read at a 4th grade level... most of the time, when it doesn't matter. 🫣
