Florida Winter Camping 2021 | WEEKENDS HARD TO BOOK
If you’ve spent any time trying out Florida Winter Camping in 2021 then you know any day is pretty booked up, but weekends are especially hard to book during the winter. We felt very lucky to find two pretty special spots for our Winnebago Revel during this episode. First we lucked into a site at Hillsborough River State Park near Tampa. It was just one night but that helped a lot. Then we found a night at Little Manatee River State Park where we actually camping in the equestrian campground and that was awesome.
And what a weekend it was. We spent time at a new campground that we wish we could have stayed a lot longer. We tucked in on the water at St. Petersburg’s Sunshine Skyway Bridge. We loved being by the horses at Little Manatee River State Park. In our Griddle Me This section we used our Blackstone Griddle to cook up an awesome romantic meal of filet and shrimp scampi. Then to top it off we were visited by owls while out on a hike at the river. Priceless. Who says you can’t book weekends in Florida last minute.
