You always tell your viewers how much you appreciate us, but I just want to tell you both how much I appreciate you ! You two are such a beautiful couple and your video content always makes me smile. Thank you for everything you do! Stay safe out there and keep up the great videos. Thank you!!
Hi from Chapel Hill. My bride and I volunteer every summer at a state park in Colorado. It always makes our day when we get a "thank you" from a guest - and we get several every day. Safe travels.
That sounds like a great place to spend the summer. You must be doing a good job if you get a lot of “thank you”. We always try to thank the volunteers because they truly make the parks better.
Love St Augustine! Think that’s going to be the first park I go to when I get my van. It’s only about 3 hrs from me. Took my niece & her best friend to their first concert at the amphitheater there. The other Mom & I thought we were teenagers again rockin out to Fall Out Boy! 😆
I have to say that Anastasia State Park has been on my must do list for a couple years. We visited the area and loved it. Now that we have our fifth wheel we can't wait to go there and explore.
Thus was a very great video. Like the scallops. The trail you walked on looked nice too. Loved when you went downtown to St. Augustine and had pizza. Cute little town. I forgot to let you know saw your in a bit of a video of vs. life Alaska with Jim and Cynthia. They were liking back in last 2 years how far they have come and showed you with them. How nice that you were able to be friends. They must do that in a lot parks keeping all the van campers away from the class As and Cs. Well looking forward to watching the one video you out yesterday so I will see you soon! Stay safe.
Our friendship with Jim and Cynthia has grown over the last two years even with the distance. They are great people and they made our trip to Alaska so enjoyable. We think of them as family. Thanks so much for sharing your comment.
You inspired me to make scallops and cod on the Blackstone tonight. Also love the entire video. I'm now on a mission to get a reservation for Anastasia state park.
I always get something out of your channel. When Linn walked out with the chairs, I stopped the tape, when you sat in the Pico chair I hoped you had a link for it. Went to your Amazon link and bought them. I meet with a group of Porsche guys weekly, due to Covid we sit outside a coffee shop in the parking lot. A 911 Porsche has limited space, this will fit easy in the front trunk instead my current chairs working to get it on the back seat backs. I’m older so want sturdy arms to help get up, this chair is perfect. Love you guys, thanks for the travel, cooking and now chair ideas.
I hope the chair works for you. We bought them for the back support and they are working out great. Thanks so much for sharing your comment it means a lot.
@@VANTREKKINGlifestyle Owen - you don’t find that you need lumbar support with those chairs? I’ve been looking at them for a few months and that’s the thing that always gives me pause. Of course, every back is different, so your experience would be different than mine. But that gap between the back and the seat has been off putting... It would really help if I knew somebody who had one and I could try it out or find a store that stocks them. But here in California a lot of stores are still closed - or open on a limited basis. And even the stores that are open, many don’t let you try anything out. Argh.
One of our favorite parks. So much to do. Two things for your next trip. One, lunch or dinner at Osteens on A1A just before you get to the Bridge of Lions. Arguablly the best shrimp meal you will ever have. Second, if you are there on Saturday they have a great farmers market right next to the park. Easy to walk to or bike.
Osteens veteran. Are there this trip but didn't show it. Lynn saw the sign for the market but we didn't go. Thanks for the advice and for being with us.
I’m now hungry for scallops and asparagus!🤣 Great looking area ,and being able to ride the E-Bikes a plus ! Ordered E-bikes for wife and I not long ago and hope to have them for our trip mid April to Asheville,NC! Been looking at those pop up rooms for last few years and just can’t decide on which one ( whether it be size or color),which is only reason it’s not in the rv! Another great video! Keep them coming! Safe travels as always!
You are going to love your e-bikes. We’ve never really road ours in Asheville, let us know how that goes. I totally get your thoughts on the room. It’s great for an extra place to hang out and it’s great if there are a lot of bugs. But the down fall is it can be hot inside especially here in Florida, we have used a portable fan which helps a lot. But in most other places we have really enjoyed it. Thanks so much for watching and commenting.
Enjoy the video thanks for sharing. St Augustine looks like a nice place to visit actually have a niece that lives there. Hoping we can get by the area in our visit to Florida next month. Man the scallops look good.
Oh my, those scallops looked wonderful. Almost as good as O’Steen’s shrimp!!!!! Such a great job filming the historic city. As you know, its our favorite too! Bicycles downtown is so fun! Cant wait to see your next video! You biggest fans -David and Juanita
Those scallops were not even close to O’Steens. We loved taking the bikes into St Augustine, it was a great way to see the city. We tried to take the same route you took us on, which was very helpful. Thanks so much for showing us around. Hope to see you guys soon. Keep it touch.
Another fantastic video with all the beautiful scenery. Gosh it’s nice and green and looks so warm and comfortable to relax and enjoy the sun. Great bike ride going into town and having that tasty looking pizza. I see you are cooking up a storm again . I want to thank both of you for making this video and sharing this with me. Lynn and Owen and Maggie BS & BK .
Hey, Sweet Friends! Glad to see this wonderful park. It's been on our list for a long time, but we can't ever get in! I'm glad to see the park through your eyes and we'll definitely keep it on our list. Stanly (the doxie) really enjoyed the seagull talking to us!😆 Thanks for telling us how many miles it was to downtown, I had just said I hoped the e-bikes would make it that far, then you told us! No problem! We'll definitely plan on bringing ours on that trip. Lynn should've yelled "order up" when you said you were cooking like a short order cook.😆 This was a beautiful way to spend part of our Sunday morning after seeing so much rain and rain and rain here! Thanks for taking us along. Have a great week and we'll see you next week. Pet Maggie for us!❤️Jane from SC
We lucked into getting a site here, you just have to keep checking. It is one of your favorites. We had a lot of battery left after the bike ride to the city. The bridge is a little narrow in places so I just got off and walked the bike, but it was so much fun riding around the city. Thanks so much for spending part of your Sunday mornings with us. It is greatly appreciated.
We wasn’t bad riding over the bridge, we did have to get off a couple of times when it got real narrow or when we met someone. It was a lot of fun riding around the city.
Reminds me when we lived at Ocean Palms... We can’t wait to move back to St. Aug w/ our new Revel. The Oasis and their great menu is call us.... Go get some gator tail and chicken wings.... Yummmmmm Dave
Thanks for the suggestion, we will put in on our list for next time. Congratulations on your new Revel and good luck moving back to St Aug, it seems like a great place to live.
Yes that is a great park I didn't get reservations this year so I will try next time I have been there to ck it out. I am at Steven foster state park now then on to Paynes P S P Gainesville The weather is great NO SNOW
We missed seeing you when you were in town We walked that campground loop area with Kobe three or four times a week but not when it's raining. hopefully one day we will catch you when you were in St Augustine Cheryl and I both grew up here it's a lovely town.
We will make sure we let you know next tine. During COVID times here we're mainly just keeping to ourselves and staying warm. But after this we can plan to make it happen. Sorry we missed you this time. We only had two nights and hardly ever stayed still during that rune. 😂 Love your city!!!
Another great video. We haven't been to Florida to camp yet but planning this fall. I see most of the state parks don't allow dogs on the beach. Have you been able to find public beaches for Maggie? We will be traveling with a "Beach" dog and will have to find access for Her. Thanks for all the great videos
We have the Rad mini step thru. I’m not sure they still make that particular version but they do have one that’s comparable. They have worked great for us.
Thanks again for another great video..... I really like St. Augustine. Your "patio/tent/screen room" really peaked my interest. If you have a video on that, I missed it. Can you refer me to that video? If no video, I would enjoy seeing a more detailed demo on that "room". I have never seen a screen room that sets up like that before. In the meantime......Be Safe and Be Well. Still Freezing in Pa. lol.
Awesome! Thank you! We love the room. In FL when it’s in the upper 80s it gets hot and stuffy but keeps the bugs off when needed. It’s in the outside section of our Amazon store: www.amazon.com/shop/VanTrekkingLifestyle
Another great Griddle Me This. That looked super easy to do. I am going to try that soon. I will definitely go to Anastasia State Park as soon as I get my own RV.
Wow! We have reservations for October. Can’t wait. By the way, because of this video, we’re having scallops for dinner tonight 😍. Absolutely LOVE your videos!
Wow! This is our favorite place in the whole world. We were in that same sight when we were there in July. We also discovered a back gate, just passed where the camp host sights are, that led into a beautiful neighborhood where we could walk our dogs. Great Video!
We found that gate too. And the shortcut to enter through the amphitheater area too. If we love it we knew you’d love it too since our travel styles are so similar.
The room is. Clam, we have in our Amazon store in the outside section. Here’s a link if you are interested www.amazon.com/shop/VanTrekkingLifestyle. We have really enjoyed ours.
Hello we were noticing ur bikes and the sitting area tent. How expensive are they. ? Just wanting to get one for our tent we have to put on back of our truck. We so enjoy watching you guys. Be safe out there. Thanks Kathie
Neither one is cheap... the bikes are Rad mini step thru and they list for around $1,500. The room is a Clam and you can get it for around $200. We absolutely love the bikes and they are well worth what we paid for them. We love the room but we find that it can be a little hot so in hot places we don’t use it as much.
That shot of you two on the beach was beautiful, OMG I want to be there. It must be special to have someone come up to you or yell over to you your Utube name. Looks like a perfect spot to camp for a few days. Stay safe guys. ❤️🇨🇦❤️ Cheers!!!
Our time at the beach was awesome, it is such a beautiful place and not crowed at all. We love meeting our subscribers and getting to know them in person. Thanks so much for following along. Cheers to you!
Good Morning vantrekking. My wife and I were just watching your latest video in Anastasia State Park. We wondering what is brand and model of tent yall set up? Look really sweet to add to campsite. Also you guys should record your soundtracks to your videos. We always love the music choices with your videos. Oh, one last question in Anastasia St Park how is it with ticks? We have 2 dogs so we were curious if Maggie attracted any? Thanks in advance, and look forward to next adventure. Thanks Chris and Carrie. 🙂
The room is a Clam and it’s in our Amazon store in the Outside section, here’s a link if you are interested www.amazon.com/shop/VanTrekkingLifestyle. We have never encountered ticks at any of Florida’s SP’s but Maggie does wear tick protection. Thanks for the questions and we appreciate you watching.
The chairs are GCI Pico. They are in our Amazon store in the “outside section” if you are interested. We bought them for the back support. Here’s the link www.amazon.com/shop/VanTrekkingLifestyle
I still so enjoy your videos. I love what you have been doing, and where you have been going, with the Revel. Now that you have had it some time, what would you think about it as a daily driver?
This is one of my dream trips and my favorite dinner is sautéed scallops. Thanks, I was wondering how far away St. Augustine is from Anastasia State Park. When you were in the downtown areas were there bike racks you could lock your bikes? We bought some heavy duty locks and I think they would be safe to lock them to something in the city.
There are bike racks on just about every corner. But we never left our bikes. One of us went in to get take-out pizza and then we sat with our bikes as we ate. Walked them through the pedestrian area and rode the rest of the time. We have heavy locks too for when we need them. Would hate to have them stolen.
How do you like your Quick Set Venture tent now that you've had it awhile? Is it big enough? Do you wish it was bigger? We are about to buy one for a trip in two weeks and cannot decide what size to get.
I think the outside room is plenty big enough for us. I don’t think we would want it any bigger as it going to hard to find a place to store it if we don’t have the trailer. We do like having an extra place to hang out, and if you get the sides it also provides privacy.
Thanks for the trip down memory lane! I miss the smells and sounds of that area. Love St Augustine! Did you find it nerve wracking biking around the city?
Not at all. Getting to the bridge from the park was on sidewalks so lots of stopping to check turning cars. But once we got to the bridge it was a piece of cake and pretty fun.
Hi Guys...this is Mrs Lowrider, what was your site number and how far to beach access from your site? Could you walk the 2 miles to St Augustine safely? We have RAD bikes too but the bridge to town seemed a bit narrow for me. We watch you every Sunday morning during breakfast, love your videos! Lots of hugs for Ms Maggie,
We were in site 36. It is a good little walk to the beach I’m not sure how long because we always took our bikes over. The bridge was narrow in some places but I would just get off and walk the bike, it was a lot of fun riding around the city. Thanks so much for spending part of your Sunday mornings with us.
Hi guys, love love your videos! Can you tell me where we can get The Outdoor Room you folks have? When I look on your channel here and click on store nothing shows up. I know you mentioned you have a store on Amazon? Thanks so much and safe travels
The link to the store is www.amazon.com/shop/VanTrekkingLifestyle If that doesn't open just go to Amazon and search for Van Trekking Lifestyle. If none of those work email us at VanTrekkingLifestyle@gmail.com.
@@VANTREKKINGlifestyle thank you Owen and Lynn and Maggie! We are presently in the high New Mexico mountains kind of waiting to see how the virus shakes out. Then we will be on our way to Florida! Your videos have been absolutely invaluable to us. Thanks again and safe travels!
I laughed so hard at 'smells like a tree' that it's still ringing throughout the house 🤣 How could you not smell the squirrel that was there a month before?
Don't mind at all. The answer is it depends. If it's too hot she stays in the van with a/c running either on lithium or electric. If it's not too hot or roads are not crowded she good in her car we keep with us. I'd say it's about 50/50 these days.
@@VANTREKKINGlifestyle Thank you! So thats a doggie carrier trailer I guess. We have two, one of which is too big for a doggie trailer. We just downsized to a Winnebago View, from a Phaeton, because there were so many places we couldn’t go with it. We’ll be able to fit more places with the View, and plan to use it without a towed if we can. So I’ve been enjoying watching your videos for inspiration! Thanks, and keep them coming!
The covers are Gymtop, we have them listed in our Amazon store, here’s the link in you are interested www.amazon.com/shop/VanTrekkingLifestyle. One of the covers ended up having a hole in the middle and water kept getting in, we did leave them on most of the winter and they were stored outside, hoping it would help protect them. Also we ended up carrying the kayak upside down on the trailer so we don’t need them anymore. They look great and were great when they were new but they did not last very long.
Our good friends are full time rvers that volunteer as camp hosts and remind visitors that masks are still required here in Fl. Didn’t see you wearing your face coverings until you headed Into St. Augustine. Even if you’ve gotten your vaccines, it is still required. Looks like you weren’t wearing one in Publix either. Don’t mean to be a “Karen”, but we are still in a pandemic and we have some of the highest numbers of cases and deaths. You can still shed the virus to others, even if you are not having symptoms. Just hoping you stay safe and the others around you!
We were definitely wearing them Publix and you are required to wear them in public facilities at the campgrounds but not when you are walking around. If we are around anyone we stay 6 ft away. We are really careful. We appreciate your concern. Maybe we need to show more about being safe while traveling.
Question: I noticed that a lot of the available sites are for tents at Anastasia. Our T@B is 18' long, tow vehicle 20'. Is Anastasia strict on allowing only tents on the tent sites? Thank you!
I had the same question in 2015 when we bought a 12 foot A-frame popup. What I found was that most designated tent sites did not have vehicle access. You had to walk your gear in. Anastasia may be different somehow, but that’s been my general experience.
My wife & I were just at Tomoka State Park. It was awesome! We spent some time at Anastasia last month. We too are following the warm weather and sunshine. ☀️We’d love to meet you in person as we follow your adventures. PM us and we can give you details.

Picco chairs. In the outside section of our Amazon store: www.amazon.com/shop/VanTrekkingLifestyle
Hope you enjoy it. It was simple. Just watch the griddle temp... not too hot... don’t burn the butter and don’t over-cook them. Simple but tricky. 😂
Wow! We have reservations for October. Can’t wait. By the way, because of this video, we’re having scallops for dinner tonight 😍. Absolutely LOVE your videos!
Hope you enjoy!
Thanks for sharing great FL camp site. Can you share the pop up room info? It is fantastic:)
The room is. Clam, we have in our Amazon store in the outside section. Here’s a link if you are interested www.amazon.com/shop/VanTrekkingLifestyle. We have really enjoyed ours.
@@VANTREKKINGlifestyle Thank you!
Thanks I appreciate you answering back. Take care guys
Not too far from Navy Station Jacksonville when I was there in 2005.
Cool place to be stationed.
Thanks for adding your amazon store. That was great! Plus info about ticks for Maggie 🐶🙂
I like your chairs. Could you tell me what kind they are with a link. Thanks.
The chairs are GCI Pico. They are in our Amazon store in the “outside section” if you are interested. We bought them for the back support. Here’s the link www.amazon.com/shop/VanTrekkingLifestyle
Thank you for the encouragement to look into this park definitely next on my list give Maggie hugs you’ll stay safe happy tails 🐶🌞
You should! Great park and area!
Love seeing you enjoy my backyard and reminding me why I live here in St Augustine.
Well you are very, very lucky! We love your backyard a lot!
Love st augustine!! They have a delicious pizza resturant on the main tourist street called anytime pizza. Yummmmmy! Also enjoy the fort also
Sounds great! We love Pizza Time pizza so it would be hard to try another one when we don’t get down there too often. But we’ll add it to the list.
@@VANTREKKINGlifestyle sorry it is pizza time. 😋
@@VANTREKKINGlifestyle are y’all to going to the Ocala rv show?
Dont forget to go to the fountain of youth
Don’t want to break it. 😂
When are you going to tell us about what you have done for garage seating? What size are your tires?
We are actually recording that video this afternoon. Should release mid-week this week or next week.
@@VANTREKKINGlifestyle We appreciate your video's. Did you ever publish a video about how you made a bench in the garage?
I still so enjoy your videos. I love what you have been doing, and where you have been going, with the Revel. Now that you have had it some time, what would you think about it as a daily driver?
It's a perfect daily driver.
I can see those e-bikes earn their space...best they earn it even more on the return trip, lol.
They do earn their keep for sure. We LOVE them.
Owen started swaying in anticipation. The boy was hungry.
Yes, he was hungry. Sometimes things taste a lot better when your hungry.
Hello Van-trekking folks, What’s the gasoline mileage on the RV?
16ish
I laughed so hard at 'smells like a tree' that it's still ringing throughout the house 🤣 How could you not smell the squirrel that was there a month before?
Did you say 'I'm man strating out my nose!?' Remind me to not drink while watching your videos!!
He did say “man straying”... he’s a nut for sure. Thanks so much for making us laugh with your comment. It is much appreciated.
If you don’t mind me asking, does your doggie stay in the van while you’re off touring on the bikes?
What brand kayak covers are those ?
Go check out Smokin’ D’s BBQ next time you’re in St. Augustine
Thanks for the suggestion we will put that on our list.
How are the no-see-ums?
No See-Um yet. 😂😂😂👍👍
Hate no seeums!
@@TrishBenedict Thank you Trish!!!
If you can fit they will allow as long as there’s a parking spot at the site. If it’s walk in they will not allow a van or small RV.
@@VANTREKKINGlifestyle Thank you very much!!!
My wife & I were just at Tomoka State Park. It was awesome! We spent some time at Anastasia last month. We too are following the warm weather and sunshine. ☀️We’d love to meet you in person as we follow your adventures. PM us and we can give you details.
We’ll try and do that. It would be great to meet up.
