love this! i was never really a peach person, but i did play rosalia a lot.... i think i had a baby gay crush on her lolllll. great video! super lame that some people were homophobic about it (insane that that's still around, i swear some people will never change) but it's really cool that you kept doing the series. that means a lot to all the queer people that saw these videos (me included). happy pride!

I can guarantee you Peach being a queer icon is a thing. She was really the only explicitly feminine character in gaming for the longest time, and was certainly the most prevalent. She was the only girly girl character that was guaranteed to be playable. The other female options like Daisy, Pauline, and Syrup were kept off the roster until being reintroduced later. Birdo and Toadette while girly aren't humans so they don't have universal appeal. Samus beat Peach into the roster in smash but Samus isn't girly despite her also being a queer icon, and Zelda while herself also being a queer icon, is more so the fantasy and history gays than Peach's all around General femininity. Dixie, Candy, and Tiny didn't get much well because at the time, 2 of them were kids and the other (Candy) didn't really get screen time or nearly as promoted. Plus everyone had a "nintendo," they were the mainstream. So couple all of that and it's truly explains Peach's icon status as a girl character, but also as a gay character. Things could've been different is nintendo had put Daisy, Pauline, and Syrup into the rosters at a much earlier date or if Candy, Zelda, Samus, or Palutena were marketed on a similar level as Peach was in the 90s.

Why is Peach a gay character?

Isn't TP Zelda seen as a gay icon? I heard that some LGBT people are fans of her because she has no romantic interest in Link

@@Johnjohnson2695 It's not saying she's gay; it's saying she's an icon to the LGBT community. Which is fine - I don't necessarily 'get it' but I have no problem with it.
The character itself is obviously not meant to have a sexuality.

@@tubey84 I know the video doesn't, but the comment I replied to does

Princess peach was so pivotal for growing as a trans not only cuz i love beating the shit outta peps im my gorgeous dress and pretty pink heels 😘
But also cuz she was like the most prominent girly girl character in gaming at the time but like also one of the only one's that was never girl bossified she always maintained her hyper femininity Even when she finally got the chance to do more stuff like beat up koopas and rescue Mario she kept surviving her dainty princess fantasy In her pretty pink dress baking cakes and turtles with parasols
In the height of the not like other girls movement Princess peach Stood tall Show us it's okay to be a pretty princess to wear you're tiara proudly no matter what ... and if anybodys gotta problem with it Use that pretty pink Crown to carve a new hole in their face Use that pretty Crown to carve a new hole in their face🥰
Or ya know thats just what she meant to me at leest ~🌸✨️🌺✨️
