- Before every trick is in your system, you first need to accept failure and learn the hard way. Just never give up and crash as clean and controlled as possible to prevent injury.

Thanks for sharing. People tend to forget that it needs lots and lots of training and failing.
Yep fully agree bro it's a lot of hardship and failure before glory
Amazing footage! It’s clear learning to crash safely and well is key and being super fit, healthy and agile certainly helps! And nerves of steel… 👍
It's also meant to show that we pro riders are no superhumans and have to take in a lot before landing everything controlled.
Thanks for sharing Jamie! Learning to crash "safely" is soo important!
you're welcome
without this one can't advance. Just be save, and keep one thing in mind: DISTANCE IS YOUR FRIEND ! Make sure to choose safe locations...the one behind the dunes looks too small for your jumps...and those sticks downwind are also a danger. Please look out for those things, no one has 100% control. I want to see more of your tricks and not from hospital ! Keep pushing! 👍
Yeah bro totally agree, the lagune is normally twice that big and works best with a more south wind direction, this session is turned more west and after that crash I stopped pushing loops. For me it's just important to show people what the road lookes like before a trick is in your system and also that conditions aren't always favorable and if you crash how to do it preventing injury, like drop your board and legs up.
@@sejalipe good call! Yes, showing and advising from top riders is always a help for others! 👍
Always appreciate footage like this. It's one thing to see a highlight reel/short/etc. of people absolutely slaying, but I think seeing some of the wrecks along the way remind us that no one just arrives at being able to do these kinds of tricks. Also, 2:56 must have felt weird, at least that was really interesting to watch.
"Ever tried, ever failed. No matter. Try again, fail again, fail better" - For sure, you apply consistently this illuminating Samuel Beckett's mantra.
I'll keep that one in mind, thanks bro
@@sejalipe Sorry, I'll never use the word "illuminating" again if it wakes up a muslim algorithm. Promise.
Be kind to your knee's Jamie cos mine gave up on me after 25 years of kiteboarding.I still hope to see you evolve in the years to come so take care of yourself mate and give your body the time to heal if needed so. Wow at 0:32 that was an insane bomb!
Thanks bro, most important is getting your board of and legs up in time in the case of crashing. The one crash you're refering to resulted in a pretty severe concussion according to my WOO it was a 18.4 m drop and scary as hell. My kite didn't come up above me to catch me, it all happened in a split second, just glad I made it out without severe injury.
45 is the age where your body will remind you all those years of fails... Back in the days I feeled indestructible and looked at all those "ols" guys not sending it thinking this will never happend to me. I was wrong. But you know: I'm still sending it like no matter what 🤪🤪🤙
It seems evident that at a certain age fear creeps in and that's where you'll be holding back and that's fine. I haven't reached that age yet and try to reach my peak but without trying there's no catching up with the guys on top and crashing is part of that. Keep sending bro and stay safe.
I have whiplash just watching that. Also, foil kite kicking's are funny as they happen in slow motion!
So important to show this!
Before you can get the real progress going, you HAVE to learn how to crash "safely".
Thanks 🤙
Those first ones are heavy forsure, thanks for reminding us that you crash a lot before landing a trick, some of them are scary even for me whos behind a screen. Stay safe
Thanks bro🤙
Thanks for this! I asked myself how you manage to handle crashes in the knee to hip deep water at your spot in Workum. For this sliding-crash it mean you still need kite control…without it may mean hitting the ground 🤕
If you learned kiting in Workum like me, you learned how to crash that's a sure thing bro
Insane, thanks for sharing
you're welcome
Damn, you are human after all. The road to succes is paved with pain
Yeah bro talent comes for free but only hard work pays off🤙
Respect, you are only human too!
Yeah bro just like everyone else😉
that video motivates even more 😮
Stay safe bro🤙
Overbeek No.1
At 2.22, double-looping a foil. Holey macaroni.
What a nice crash❤!❤
life has no price, everyone has this perception of life, especially in a competitive society where we can be the slave of capitalism, always be free of our soul and not follow a mold which may not be ours, good luck and may your guardian angel protect you peace ❤❤❤💛💛💛💙
😮😮 Massive Crashes! NoPain no Gain✌🏼 Stay save!
When I started kiting I tried never to fall then you realise you have to fall if you want to progress
No pain, no gain bro🤙
crashes in the big air discipline are very hard in the most cases.
lekker man!!
Crazy🫣 but the progress 💪🤩🤙is worth it!
Respekt! What is the name of the music?
Where is this?
Always wondered how you manage to stay safe in workum‘s ultra shallow waters. I’ll copy that technique for sure 😂
Just be safe bro, if you crash drop your board and put your legs up
WOW 😮 impressive 🤙
Thanks bro 🤙
??
Its beyond impressive how youre tanking these crashes
Thanks
2:09 could you land a loop like that one purpose & stick it? 😂
When are u joining helmet club? 😎
Only on hydrofoil bro🤙
Your vidéos are just insane 🔥💪 Continue like this 🔥
Could you maybe do a video that explain how you train to prevent injuries
1:43 is this the balls brake? :D
2:32 😬
there's more than one in the video🤣😂
Have you ever broken your ribs?
No never ever had any rib issue but my Mystic Majestic X is just the perfect fit for my body shape, that is what probably saves me from rib injury.
Wow, did you ever had some injuries?
Only a concussion and some minor muscle aches. Years back I had knee injury because of a badly timed kicker wave
Track ID ? :D
Chiropractor, anyone?
I have a personal physiotherapist, my mom
