- Compare the new ZT Elite with any other lawn mower and you'll find there's no comparison. The same construction from our professional line of commercial mowers is at the core of this zero-turn marvel. 1/2" steel front forks, 2" x 2" tubular steel framing and 7-gauge solid steel deck powered by high-horsepower engines usually reserved for commercial mower models, the numbers all add up to the best value in a residential lawn mower ANYWHERE. With improved SteerTek precision drive, even more robust hydraulic system and over-all upgrades in comfort, operation and drive-ability, the ZT Elite just raised the bar again - on itself.

we all love Kelly!!!
I have that same mower 2006 model still going strong with a Briggs and Stratton 26hp mower is a beast
I have been using this mower this year. It has been a great mower.
I need some help please with my 2013 zt elite 6000 60" 27hp Kohler. The problem was on the left side gas tank with the rollover valve it was just hanging off the gas tank with the top hole exposed I only noticed it after I finished cutting so I don't know what how the heck it happened and what to do if there was some part on it that worked loose and fell into the gas tank I'm sure I need a new valve but how do I know if somethings in the gas tank and how do I get it out?
Is there a switch that I have too turn
Do you offer the Kohler Command Pro engine? That is all I'll use, because of the longevity of this engine and the ease of maintenance involved, not needing valve adjustments, every 500 or so hours. I've used Kohler Command Pro for years, and have never had any mechanical problems with these engines.
That sounds like a great mower, but there are so many now on the market. I got a John Deere first and love it, then later purchased a Cub Cadet last year and it is nice, but not as good as the John Deere. I thought of buying a Bad Boy mower, and also thought of getting another brand which is sold in my area, but decided on the John Deere first since it could be picked up if repair was needed. I would have to get my mower to the dealer on my own if I purchased another brand. When I purchased the Cub Cadet my thoughts was the same and they delivered the mower to me and would pick it up if I needed repair work done on it.
I bought a ZT Elite 60" in 2015. Nothing but trouble. Bought in May and it never ran all summer. They couldn't figure out the problem. Accused me of being the problem until I had the dealers service man try to make two rounds in my yard. Died after 25 feet. Had to brush hog my lawn. Gave me a 54" loaner in August. Finally they replaced it in October. Worked OK last year. This year it has been the mower from hell. In fact I named it satan. I mowed once. After that it was: Broken weld on center blade shaft pully. Cracked housing on left blade spindel. Fuel shut off solonoid on the carburator wouldn't let mower run. The PTO engage switch would not allow the mower to crank. Have to wiggle it to find the right spot. Right blade pully broken weld. It is something every week. If I can ever get rid of this one I will never, ever, buy another one.
Their customer service is terrible. The guy was a complete jerk on the phone to me. That's what I get for buying local I guess? I have the same power in a 54 inch. Calling mine Satan wouldn't be fair to Satan.
I have a new ZT Elite bad boy my driving rods one is tight one is a little loose should they both be the same loose or tight?
Thanks
Are they a certain type of hydraulic oil for the bad boy mowers
You can use 20w - 50w. Its the same thing as the hydrostatic oil they sell
Do I have to have a gas tanker show up to fuel it? I used a 14HP grasshopper that while it used a fair amount of fuel, was nothing like the box store 19hp Kohler that has way less power and way more fuel consumption than anything I've ever used. Does HP mean high petro consumption? Well with Kohler it does. I like the V-twin Briggs...
I have the ZT Elite and I cut an acre with 1 gallon of fuel
I have bad boy elite the deck is stuck at bottom it just makes a clinking sound and want go up I took off aviator a no d freed it up but still want go up
Needs a roll bar before our Safety Dept. would approve it.
there are other models with roll bars.
Same mower with roll bar is called the Maverick
I bought one with Kawasaki engine, plant must have a 400 pd weight lifter screwing on the oil drain hose end cap, can not get it off
How do you drain the oil if you cannot get the end cap loose?
Why would they say change oil at 10 hrs if you have to call the dealership to change the oil,
Wonder if bad boy and dealership set it up this. Way?
My neighbor has a 42" Bad Boy with the Kawasaki V-Twin engine and I have mowed his lawn for him all summer. The only gripe I have with Bad Boy mowers is the anti-scalp wheels have no adjustment holes. You need these to adjust the scalp wheels to whichever level you set the deck and you can't do it on these.
The results is more scalping on uneven lawns. Bad Boy you make a great product, but you need to add hieght adjustments to your anti-scalp deck wheels:P This might be a common flaw on zero-radius mowers, but I do not understand why. My Craftsman YTS 3000 does a much better job on the actual cutting of the lawn although it is slow as a turtle compared to the Bad Boy. They really do need to fix this design flaw soon!
Jason Plunkett no commercial mower I've ever owned (Scag, lesco, wright) had adjustable anti scalp wheels. Must be on home owner models?
Free floating deck. The scalp wheels only touch the ground when going over uneven spots. All scalp wheels should be set about 1/2" below the deck even on small residential riding mowers. In other words the anti scalp wheels are always to be suspended above the ground and only briefly touch the ground to raise the deck over that uneven spot so the blades wont scalp. Anti scalp wheels should last for many years.
If u have 2 tanks on ur mower how do u switch it to other one
WTF
Dave Smith i think they are connected
So are they both consuming fuel at the same time? or you only have to fill one side? no information about the fuel tanks setup in the manual.
Where is the ROPS? I mow commercially, OSHA, requires it. I'm not playing any games,... I've got to have it.
Ronald, we do offer a ROPS for the ZT Elite. The part number for that is 089-0005-98
Great mowers and if Badboy is smart they will quit putting crap Kohler engines on them like they seem to be doing more and more off! My last mower had a Kohler on it that was a nightmare! I said to myself when it came time to buy a new mower it would be a Kawasaki period! That being said I had to search a lot of dealers to locate what I needed for my home. I did not need commercial grade for my own yard so I went with the Bad Boy MZ 48" with the Kawasaki engine. Its been awesome. The only complaints I have is there are no scalp wheel guide holes to adjust the anti-scalp wheels with. The other complaint is and seems to be with all makes of zero-turn mowers is they will get stuck easy if you get into moist soil. I am ordering better traction tires for mine this year.
sweet
sour
Not scripted at all. 😜
how come only 2 year warranty and others give a 3 year warr.
Poor quality.
bad boy makes a solid mower i don't much about that zt but my outlaw is sweet
He said Kawasaki but I saw a Kohler
Yes he also said their are three options that power this mower. In the video looks like it was the Kohler Pro Motor
Does it come with the girl. If so I'll take it
Mower is regular maintenance, she's high maintenance.
ive been a lanscaper for years and the mower for me the badboy it really is a bad bod i can pull a pick up truck with it there indestructable buy one today you wount be sorry i know it im really hard to please with equitment i never had anything bad to say about these babbys
I bought a year ago and the deck doesn't go down
Slow bad
@@freddyrodriguez8971 Same here my deck only works half the time.
Stay away from the ZT. Owned mine for 3 years have 40hrs on it. Electric deck trash freezes up all the time! Blades are junk and one side is way faster then Other side Annoying. Swapped first one I bought after 5 hrs with another and both ran same way. Plus the kohler needs chocked every time I start it even if it been running before. Just not a fan. Oh and the blade bearings sound like they are grinding since hr 20. Either I got two duds or they are just junk. Not Recommended
SIMPLICITY COBALT IS THE BEST. ALL SIMPLICITY PRODUCTS ARE THE BEST.HAVE BEEN IN THE MOWER REPAIR BUSINESS FOR THIRTY YEARS AND HAVE WORKED ON ALL MAKES AND MODELS.SIMPLICITY RATES NUMBER ONE IN DURABILITY.I OWN A SIMPLICITY COBALT AND (THE BAD BOY,WHERE DO YOU GUYS COME UP WITH SUCH STUPID NAMES ) A QUALITY CUT IS WHAT MATTERS NOT SPEED.
Where would you mount a sprayer?
Kohler courage . No thanks
Mine came with the Kohler Pro 7000 series engine
It's the same engine . They changed the name due to bad reputation. Junk motors plastic cam gears . Homeowner engines . 1000 hrs tops after 500 hrs burn oil like mad
The machine is nice but the customer service is fucking trash if you need anything from them God help you.
