- Hey UA-cam, just purchased my first Zero-turn lawnmower. In this video I review and go over the reasons I chose this mower and the four most important things to consider when looking for a mower of your own.
I have a 60 inch maverick and I mow my 7 acre pasture with it and it still runs strong after 9 month and around 65 hours. Nice mower, hope you enjoy it!
I have a 2015 ctz Elite and it is a beast, still going strong with 750 hours (Kawasaki) engine
I went with the 747cc Kohler engine ... Kohlers in my experience last forever with proper maintenance.

No need to explain getting a 60” for only 1/2 acre. You could have spent your money on worse things. I’ve got a 42” on much less lawn area and it’s brought the joy back in mowing.
The deck pin adjustment is on 90 percent of commercial mowers because the mechanism is less complex and more durable. I’d rather have that on my residential mower than the cheap cheesy dial that’s always on the cheaper mowers.
Getting my Maverick HD 60" tomorrow, dealer just got a shipment, has Kawasaki fs730v, $8300 plus tax, all the upgrades I want for my 3 + acres.

The dumbest design idea they had was the seat. It doesn't stop when you put it forward. Until it hits the deck pedal and pokes a hole in your NEW $500 SUSPENSION SEAT! Get a chunk of cable to go from the bottom of the seat to the frame.
No one does that with there sits. My dad put a whole in his buddy’s the first day. We wired up a cable to mine I just bought it is stupid they don’t

Be careful with the air filter, the FR engines are notorious for having issues with consumption of dirt

I have 1.5 acres and I'm trying to decide between the ZT and Maverick. Outside of the ROPS, what noticeable difference is there for the extra $1k, in your opinion?
I was at my max budget for my ZT Elite. The Maverick is a beautiful unit. What I liked most about the Maverick is the increased ride height, the beefy tires, and the four wheel independent suspension. The ROPS look bada** also! If you are able to spend the extra 1k, I would go for it. Has a better more comfortable seat as well. Feel it is worth the increase. I personally couldn’t justify it. Hope this helps

I'd the same issue. Zt or Maverick. I've 2 acres. But I wanted the better ride. I've a bad back. So I went w Maverick

The difference between the maverick and elite is the ur seat the maverick is the high end low end commercial machine
Might as well name the competitor. Hustler needs to hear it from everybody that the pin grid deck height system makes no sense, especially for those of us with lower back pain!
plus the hustler only has a 10 gauge deck like the mowers from lowes vs BB 7 gauge

I'm in process of buying house with 2 acre's. I want the elite do you recommend the elite for 2 acre's
I'm between the elite and the maverick. I also have 2 acres and I kind of think the maverick is overkill for that amount of yard. I'm just considering the kohler 48" elite with an added suspension seat I think that would be perfect 🤷🏾♂️
@@madmike7248 I have to same thing, 48” ZT Elite. Just added the suspension seat and the ZT has been doing the job with ease.
How Fast does it Go?
It states 7mph. But I ran it at full throttle and all the way forward on the handle bars and it isn't overwhelmingly fast.

Better options out there especially at that price range there’s many options out there that give u Kawasaki engine Serviceable transmission n fabricated reinforced deck’s most important things to look for the long haul 🎯 nice zero turn tho🤷🏽♂️
