When Home Free was on the NBC show the Sing Off, Shawn Stockman of Boyz II Men was a judge and he loved them. Home Free won that year (2013). I think they wanted to do right by him. Yeah, the boys can all sing. They are “a cappella” meaning it’s all with their voices. They have a beatboxer and he’s incredible. If you want to see Adam doing drums without drums look up Adam Rupp Drum Solo (2015). He’s amazing. Can’t Stop the Feeling, Blue Ain’t Your Color, Butts Medley (it’s hilarious). Good reaction Twon!😍
I'm tellin' ya, Twon, and I'm only gonna say it once... Home Free's "WHEN A MAN LOVES A WOMAN"! Period. Hold onto your socks cuz Austin pours it out from the first note to the last. 😉👍🔥 Second one... "Listen to the Music" (Doobie Brothers cover)! Adam (the beatboxer) was let loose! Drums, sound effects, scratching, & more!! 🥁😳🔥 PS: That's also him doing those ethereal high tones that sound almost like a synthesizer! Third one... "Can't Stop the Feeling" (from the Trolls movie/Justin Timberlake cover) Not only will it make you wanna dance, dance, dance... it's got a sick rhythm section breakdown that you'll love!! 😘😳 I've been watching you for a LONG time. I guarantee you will absolutely love all 3 of those! 👍❤ There are only a couple hundred vids to choose from and not a bad one in the bunch. 😘 Have fun! ... ... ... Hint cuz I like your reactions... Keep doing Home Free on the regular and Home Fries will show up in droves to subscribe. *cough cough* 😉
Definitely When A Man Loves A Woman. You will lose your mind. Just like the rest of us. I was around for the Doobie's original of Listen to the Music and the HG version is just as good - and with no instruments. Just their unbeatable one man band. Can't go wrong with tnese guys.
Man there is nothing these guys can't sing from country music to r&b to Godspell and classic rock and even theater classics. This is a rabbit hole you really should go down bro you only have about 160 videos to go 🤯👍
Nope--no instruments, just Adam Rupp, the incomparable beatboxer of Home Free!! He is HF's own wizard 🪄 😉 😍 As far as I'm concerned all of the Home Free guys "emote" through their music/videos better than just about anyone else out there--and in this one Rob showcases his gospel/R&B genius in a way that seems to surprise everyone ❣️❣️❣️
Welcome to the HF Rabbithole and we Home Fries. Butts Medley and How Great Thou Art and Children Go Where I Send Thee. You’re gonna do that Twon Swoon we love.
Adam Rupp is their beatboxer. He's PHENOMENAL and won back to back world beatboxing championships as well as other awards and he just keeps perfecting his craft. Other beatboxers even say he has the most realistic instrumental sounds they've ever heard. He's taught the other guys some of the sounds so they can fill in if he's doing something else at their live performances. He's also got a naturally beautiful tenor voice but isn't comfortable doing more than harmonizing because he's not vocally trained like the others. You should check out their cover of the Doobie Brothers Listen to the Music. It's out of this world good. I'll check back and if you keep exploring the HF rabbit hole I'll happily subscribe.
I admit it - I search for Home Free newbie reactions. I am a total Home Fry, and I love watching reactors discover the brilliance of these talented men. I enjoyed your reaction. You obviously know the original (I remember when it came out) and it’s plain that Home Free more than did it justice. The lead tenor (front center) is Rob “the beard” Lundquist, and he nailed this. His riffs and runs (especially the last one) were perfectly executed. It’s easy to lose track when libbing those, but he never lost his place within the harmonies behind him. Another couple of great songs he leads in are Bless the Broken Road and Blue Ain’t your Color. The second vocal was from the fabulous Austin Brown (front right), high tenor. When a Man Loves a Woman. That’s all that needs to be said. Seriously. Front left is basso profundo with a 5+ octave range, is Tim Foust (who’s apparently part dragon). Do yourself a favor and check him out in Brothers in Arms. His bass is amazing. Adam “freak of nature” Rupp (back left) is the tenor/beatboxer/vocal percussionist who is in a league of his own. There are several videos of him doing “drum solos” (I recommend starting with the one where he’s wearing the red plaid shirt) that are well worth seeing. To see his amazing arrangement abilities, see Do You Hear What I Hear, a complex and difficult arrangement that not only highlights all of them individually, but also shows off their jaw dropping harmonies. He is off the chain in Ain’t Goin Down Til the Sun Comes Up (only on their FB page due to copyright issues, but you can react to it on YT). In a rare video where you can hear him sing (he doesn’t like to do solos), How Great Thou Art. Baritone/bass Adam Chance (back right) is the newest member, replacing former co-founder Chris Rupp. He didn’t get to really shine in this video, but I love him in Winter Song, One Man Band and Brothers in Arms. For comedic value alone, you should see The Butt’s Medley. Enjoy your trip down the rabbit hole. It’s deep, but you’ll never want to escape!
I see a BUNCH of folk saying the "Musical" elements are all Adam Rupp, but they ALL do parts to add to it, especially Chance and Tim. So shout out to ALL their Beat Boxing abilities. At Live shows Adam Rupp and Austin go back and forth with a "NOMONICA". Glad you are warming back up with the FRIES!
Tim, Rob and Austin can each hit the "high notes." "Country Pop Medley" is one example of Austin doing it and "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow/Stay" is an example of Tim doing it as well as Tim in "My Maria." You'll never go wrong listening to Home Free. They're in a league all their own. A couple of newer releases by Home Free are "Listen to the Music" and "Brother." Their cover of The Righteous Brothers "Unchained Melody" is another good one (I know you've reacted to The Righteous Brothers "You've Lost That Loving Feeling." Home Free has well over 200 videos for you to explore including a complete album of videos made during the quarantine which helped keep us Home Fries sane during that time. Please continue and enjoy your Home Free journey!
No other beatboxer compares to Adam Rupp, I've seen drummer reaction channels react to the Adam Rupp drum solo and say his tones are spot on, and his fills are the most realistic. Not to mention his harmonica and now he's working on guitar.
Agree. Many other beatboxers sound like humans just imitating sounds. When you listen to Adam, you think it is an instrument & then you realize it is a human voice.
I love Boyz II Men and have played End of the Road so many times. I never thought I'd ever like a cover of this song. But Home Free did it, while maintaining the respect for the original. How wonderfully sung by all! But for me it is mainly Rob who nailed it. What a great voice with so much soul in it. He touches me deep inside. Of course it is the combination of the other leads, fantastic harmony, bone-feeling bassline and the inhuman vocal percussion that makes it complete. The best A-Cappella group for me!! A real Home Fry from the Netherlands!!😊
It's been a long time since you reacted to our boys. Think your first one was "Man Of Constant Sorrow". Glad to have you back. They have over 200 songs. All a cappella. No instruments. These guys do an amazing job of this song! They can do any genre including R&B. Rob's voice has so much feeling & soul in it. Austin adding his higher tones, Chance harmonizing in the back, Tim adding some bass & Adam with his fabulous vocal percussion. These guys are my favorite a cappella group out there. All their songs are good whether it is serious, heart warming or funny.
IMO, nothing will ever replace the original magic from hearing Boyz 11 Men sing this masterpiece, & I am so happy that Home Free, was able to keep the original integrity of the song, yet still inject a little of their own magic, allowing us, to fall in love with it, all over again 💕 I don't believe any other group, other than Home Free, could have pulled this off 💕
Love the reaction video! Home Free is amazing, 100% acapella, 100% wonderful! - You should really listen to their songs/covers of “Butts Remix,” “Brothers in Arms,” “Mayday,” "When a Man Loves a Woman," “Ring of Fire,” “One Man Band” “All About the Bass,” “Hillbilly Bone,” and “Elvira” for some real fun! Thanks for the reaction video, as a Home Fry myself I am always glad to see someone finding them for the first time!
Avi Kaplin from PTX is in Home Free's Ring of Fire cover... Tim Foust the bass from HF was helping him with his lower octaves... You can see the smiles as each one goes from high to low, but the end it is when Avi takes his toboggan off replacing it with a cowboy hat to show his respect to Tim's low bass octave
Home Free is immensely talented. I'm going to suggest their covers of Percy Sledge's When a Man Loves a Woman and/or their Thinking Out Loud/Let's Get It On mashup (Ed Sheeran & Marvin Gaye). For fun, check out the Butts Remix 😂Hope you can find time to react to one or all. HF have such a huge catalog to choose from. Enjoyed the reaction, Twon, thanks.
Home Free started as predominantly country but have branched out into so many genres. "Butts Remix," "Try Everything," "Working for a Living," and "Brothers in Arms" will give you good examples of their versatility. Thanks, Twon!
You make me smile in your appreciation for what you're hearing. These men are truly amazing and honor those songs and singers from the past. Color has no place when it comes to musical talents, eh? Music binds us together.
Long time sub here, but it's been a LONG time since you've reacted to Home Free. Glad you're back! Think you'll really enjoy their cover of the Doobie Brothers classic "Listen to the Music" - high energy, great vocals, and you get to see the beatboxer (Adam Rupp) flex a little. Can't wait for more - thanks Twon!!! Btw, a reminder - fans of Home Free are called home fries ---------> 🍟🖤
Hey Twon, Home Free is the "BOMB!!!" No disrespect to all of the other wonderful a cappella groups out there, but IMHO Home Free is the most versatile vocal band on the planet!!! Mic Drop!!! 🎤
Shawn Stockman loves Home Free ❤️Everyone needs home free in their life!! I'm serious about that! They are the best 5 human beings you'll ever meet .... great reaction 🔥🔥🔥🏠🍟
OMG.. so happy you did another Home Free. They are my favorite group. So versatile. Great reaction and hope you will do more from Home Free. "When A Man Loves A Woman" is one I think you would love
My wife and I saw Home Free in Grand Rapids, MI about 2 months ago. It was a night of great music from start to finish. I was looking forward to telling you they have a concert date in Shipshewana, IN in August, but according to their web site it just happened. Anybody else reading this do yourself a favor and go see them when they are in your area. It was good seeing how much you enjoyed this, Twon. Nicely done.
The guy in the front row left to right Tim Foust bass with a five octave range, Rob Lundquist lead tenor and Austin Brown sky high tenor. Back row left to right Adam Rupp the beatboxer and Adam Chance (Chance) baritone but he is a bass. When Tim sings Chance covers his part. Enjoyed watching your reaction to this song.
As a teen I used to listen to the B2M original, but these days I can't get through it. Not because it's not great, but it's outdated and Home Free brings more soul to the table as far as I'm concerned. New sub here, eager and excited for more Home Free. 🥰🙏
13 Albums and over 120 videos...... I know there's something else for you! Us HOME FRYS love the group for their flexibility and point-on sounds! WELCOME TO THE RABBIT HOLE!!! LOL
Hey Twon. I've been requesting Lover boy -turn me loose for a while now and you may have actually heard it. So can I change back to my original request of Adam Lambert - on the moon. It needs to be the the live acoustic version and it says it has a funny ending. This guy has a voice ten times better than Brian Justin Crum and you know that's saying alot.
Love this Cover by Home Free they killed it! Check out Ring of Fire, it has Avi from Pentatonix which is a nice Bass battle with him and Tim from Home Free
Awesome reaction, Twon. Do more Home Free please. In the Blood, Brothers in Arms, Travelin’ Soldier, Ring of Fire (with Avi from Pentatonics), Listen to the Music, Brother….to name a few.
Oh yeah have you heard there cover of When a man loves a woman it's crazy how good they are✌❣and PTX cover of the Prayer it is straight fire bring tissues ‼‼💯
Hey, just subscribed and happy you are reacting to our favorite guys. Really loved your open and sincere emotion! That's what music should do to us!! Home Free has a super loyal fan base! Watch one of their newest ones, crazy good, Listen to the Music and you will see Adam do the beat boxing and all his drum motions, etc. He has others he does full-on (voice) harmonica and it's crazy. Glad you loved this one. It's awesome! They did kill this one. Take care.
Check out When a Man Loves a Woman for more soul and more Austin Brown (curly hair on the right) ;)
Thank you ^_^

'When A Man Loves A Woman', a Percy Sledge Classic done fantastically by Austn (aka guy on the right).

The guys really nailed this one and what can you say about Rob? PERFECTION!
You need to do their medleys: The Butts Medley, Sea Shanty Medley and Country Fried Pop Medley.
Hey Twon, Home Free is the "BOMB!!!" No disrespect to all of the other wonderful a cappella groups out there, but IMHO Home Free is the most versatile vocal band on the planet!!! Mic Drop!!! 🎤

Wow. Awesome Awesome. Gr8 reaction. Thx for sharing ♥.
My song recommendation for Home Free is anything they put out. These guys are straight 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
They did more than justice to this song. I know Boyz II Men would be proud. Love your reaction.

Hey Twon. I've been requesting Lover boy -turn me loose for a while now and you may have actually heard it. So can I change back to my original request of Adam Lambert - on the moon.
