I’m way too old to have known about boys to men. The first time that I ever heard this song was Home Free singing it. There was so much talk about boys to men that I finally listened to their video. For me, absolutely no comparison! I am 1000% Home Free all the way. As others have said, Home Free doesn’t do covers, they do upgrades. 👍🏼❤️ I have been following Home Free since February 2016. There is nothing that they cannot do!
I was about 7 when I first heard the Boyz II Men version of the song and I've probably listened to it thousands of times. I love Home Free but though they did this cover justice, it's still far from the original! Boyz II Men all the way!
Hey guys, I'm a Big-Time "Home Fry," and now that you know, please don't be so shocked to see & hear Home Free do R&B and Soul...These guys can do it all, they can even do opera!!! With absolutely no disrespect to all of the other great A Capella groups out there, Home Free is (both collectively & individually) the most versatile Vocal Band on the planet!!! And if you want some more Soul and R&B by Home Free, you should check out the official video of their cover of The O'Jay's song "LOVE TRAIN." Home Free is "The Real Deal" and you can take that to the bank!!! Mic Drop!!! 🎤
I like Home Free too but I am first a Pentaholic. I don’t compare them. But I do enjoy the fact that one of the groups has a cellist, saxophonist, pianist as an occasional accompanist. (Kevin).
@@stevenconnor9767 I gotta disagree. For me, "When a Man..." and the word "second" don't belong anywhere near each other; that comes second to no song, ever. And the fact that Austin did what he did with one of the most classic songs ever, and by Percy Sledge, no less, is every bit as mind-boggling as the group's pulling off this iconic Boyz to Men number.
They killed this! Home Free are amazing! They don't do covers they do upgrades. Boy Z II Men are awesome too, but Home Free adds their own touches. Love your little one. Love your reactions!
Think about this. I am an AC/DC fan from way back, and now I am a Home Free fan. Now let this sink in, Home Free has well over 100 videos and every last one of them is amazing. Just have fun with it.
These guys do an amazing job of this song! They can do any genre including R&B. Rob's voice has so much feeling & soul in it. Austin adding his higher tones, Chance is holding down the bass in the back, Tim adding some deeper bass notes & Adam with his fabulous vocal percussion. These guys are my favorite a cappella group out there. Shawn Stockman from Boyz II Men was one of the judges on the "Sing Off" that Home Free won & he was a big fan of these guys from the start. I'm sure he loved their version of this song.
When they were on the NBC show the Sing Off (they won in 2013) Shawn Stockman of Boyz II Men was a Judge and he loved them. Rob really killed it. Rob can sing opera too. They are all super talented men. They have so many great songs…some make you cry some make you laugh but they’re all good. Love them!!! 😍🥰
You 2 are blessing to watch. Another fun one to watch is Home Free's Butt Remix. God bless your little family. Pray our Mighty Physician heal you baby girl & put a hedge of protection around you all. God Bless you all.
Rob "takes us to church" quite often. He is very versatile. He doesn't want to put this in their shows, though, because he said after they recorded this, his voice was adversely affected for several days.
HOME FREE does that song justice. Shocking as it is, but THEY CAN 'SANG'! Very unbelievable how great they really are as far asvoices, acapela and production values and the final products. Producer knows what talent he has to work with and he proves it , song after song after song!!!❤❤❤❤❤
When Home Free does a cover, they pay homage to the original, but always make it their own. Their covers are always upgrades❣️🎼🥰🎶❤ As far as I'm concerned all of the Home Free guys "emote" through their music/videos better than just about anyone else out there--and in this one Rob showcases his gospel/R&B genius in a way that seems to surprise everyone ❣️❣️❣️ #HomeFree
That was the best and most entertaining reaction to our guys that I've ever seen! Girl I'm so glad all you had around were pillows because otherwise your hubby would be hurting! Lol! Hope your sweet baby is better soon! ❤
Also, got to checkout Tim Foust’s solo single, Will You Love Me Tomorrow/Stay. The Home Free bass singer shows off his entire 5 octave range and shows he is the most versatile singer in the group.
They KNEW that if they did a Boyz II Men song, they would have to do their best. And they did. To show RESPECT for the song and the Group that made the song. And GREAT Reactions. I kept saying to myself "Ya think that was good? It gets better". And the Rob hit his last run and I was like, "Yup. He did that." LOL. GREAT Reactions.
Another epic one which is also in season is alud Lang syne. Trust me you'll want that one on repeat for a bit too. It is almost literally vocal heaven.
You've got to see their incredible live performance of Joy to the World, led by Gospel Rob. Don't know if you're saving Christmas songs for the holidays.
I have to admit that when I first saw that they had done this, my immediate reaction was "Really??? That can't be good." Oh, so wrong. I have never doubted them since. Whatever they decide to do - I'm there for it.
You should check out How Great Thou Art. The guys filmed this in the Austrian Alps while doing a European tour. The only thing more breathtaking than the scenery is the incredible rendition of the song! You will be in tears. Great reaction here - love you guys!
What an amazing reaction from y’all. I’m sorry you’re having to deal with this illness but I’m sure going to pray for your little baby 🙏 what a cutie pie. This is one of my favorites ever. Brothers in Arms is amazing too. And there are so many to name. May GOD BLESS YALL ALL 🙏🙏🙏🔥
Tis the season to watch and listen to "Do You Hear What I Hear?" arranged by the beatboxer. You really should wear headphones as you can miss the subtle background harmonies and riffs, etc., especially on this song. It is a complex arrangement and a FEAST for ears. The setting of the video is pretty cool, too (double entendre).
Helplessly hoping,in the blood, woman men/female and for the season do you hear what I hear angels we have heard on high and Mary did you know. Thanks so much I know you'll love them all.
You guys are amazing! New subscriber here! Really Love watching your reaction videos! You’re so right when you said Home Free got down on this song! There versions of songs are always on point! Anyway keep up the awesome videos! Praying blessings on you guys! God is good all the time and all the time God is good!
And remember, all vocal. No instruments, no drums, no synth. Just some claps and snaps. Diana Ross invited them to perform at her birthday bash. Try “Love Train”. That’s what sealed the deal.
They're all vocal chameleons - Tim (bass) has a 5+ octave range, all the others have impressive range as well. Rob (glasses) & Austin (curly hair) have a duet of Puccini's aria "Nessun Dorma" (on Austin's channel). I think you'd really enjoy HFs rendition of "Spaceship". Back in the day, it would have been called "blue-eyed soul" (ask your grandparents).
I don't know if you know but when they were on The Sing Off Shawn Stockman was a judge. He absolutely loved all the guy's but Austin was actually his favorite. You usually her gospel Rob this time it was more R and B Rob. I really enjoyed watching your reactions to this song.
Amen!! New subscriber...God the glory...loved that yall do all kinds of music...being a Christian myself...people always ask do I only listening to Christian music...beautiful music comes in different form...love the reaction...Blessings 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Great reaction. Yes these guys can sing anything. I've often wondered whether Shawn Stockman (Boyz II Men) had something to do with Home Free deciding to cover End of the Road, since Shawn was one of the judges on The Sing Off the year they won. Shawn was impressed with Home Free and became a big fan of theirs during the contest. In any event, I believe your next stop on the Home Free train should be When a Man Loves a Woman. If you're looking for a little fun. check out their Butts Remix. And while you're exploring a cappella, don't sleep on Pentatonix, VoicePlay and Voctave. I look forward tp many more of your reactions.
Their version of "when a man loves a woman" is a good one, wouldn't say better than this, there's a 3 part series the long haired singer wrote for his wife that's good, don't remember names or anything lol I'm not super into them like that, I just came across them thru reactors and comments and then obviously the algorithm picked up on it lol
Now that you have fell so far down the rabbit hole, its time to react to Rob and Austin singing opera and to Home Free's version of Mayday. Both will totally blow your minds.
Home Free started in 2000 and has been doing 250 shows a year for a long time. Marcus needs to listen to the beat-boxer Adam Rupp's drum solo in a live performance on stage. He may pick the sounds up fast! I would also think now that you have reacted to "End of the Road" you need to go react to "Mayday" as it has the same sounds as End of the Road but with the Home Free twist. Love your reactions.
I don't think you praised the percussions enough - the two guys in the background. But this is great. "I'm a man of constant sorrow" next? I am also impressed how the baby slept through all of that rocking when he liked the song. 😊
welcome to the home free rabbit hole, its a really deep one . they have about 150 songs out there, and i have not heard a bad one yet. you might try ( bless the broken road) , but really just pick one you will not be desappointed.
I dare this group to sing it live. It sounds like they used Autotune, because the tone is too perfect. Boys II Men didn't have Autotune to make their voices sound perfect because it didn't exist until 1998 and was first used on Cher's album Believe.
Mayday, Country Pop Melodies, Evergreen/Let’s Get it On, Listen to the Music, Hillbilly Bone, Live 9to 5 where they all beatbox. Talent has a color? Lol
Rumor is the Producer said “fellas…guys…dude! Y’all sure you wanna cover BTM?😨 because this kinda thing can END a career!” To which they replied in unison “No worries, we Got This…hold our 🍻” 😉
Great reaction as always guys...do yourself & everybody a favor & do "Butts Medley" by them Youll trip out for real...i love yalls cgannel since the first time i watched it...youre both such a blessing. You finally got to meet R &B Rob! Then theres Gospel Rob, Rapping Rob, Opera Rob.....
