Hi I’m someone that’s tried all sorts of bonnets and scarves and I actually owned one of these a few years ago unfortunately I think they’re for larger braids or locks or someone with very thick hair Theres way too much space and your hair will just move around in it while you’re asleep. I found that if you actually wrap your hair around your head firmly first (not a bun literally wrap it around your head) and use a silk/satin scarf to wrap over it and tie the knot at the front works best I hope this helps x
can you link the scarf that you use?
hi can you make a video showing the inside ? how does the texture in the inside feel?
Does this cap come off when you toss and turn in your sleep? I have reasonably much, but fine hair. I had a bonnet in the past (a non charming one with straps you need to knot in order to keep it around your head) but it came off every night.. I think because of the softness, it was a real mulberry silk bonnet. I was hoping that this design wouldnt slip off at night?
I wish they were cheaper!! They’re so cute.
It’s sooo good, I still use it every night and my hair has genuinely never felt in a healthier condition! 💖
Great review! I was just wondering if the hair doesn't get all sweaty and oily underneath the cap?
Thank you so much! I found the silk material breathable so didn’t find it sweaty or oily but I live in the UK so it’s hardly ever hot here!
@@Daydreamerdanielle same I live in the UK
Your accent is so cute :)
I think they make the fair flat the next day right?
I haven’t had an issue with that but I suppose it may depend on your hair type xx
@@Daydreamerdanielle helps for curls volume ? Or does it soften it the silk ?
Hope for response.
Kind regards.
It does make my hair flatter but that’s what I want as my hair is really big and frizzy and wavy. It really tames it down.
How do they fit all head sizes??
It’s elasticated 🥰
What website to buy this please?
I got this one from lookfantastic.com x
@@Daydreamerdanielle WOW, I really appreciate this as I’ve been searching for months! Before I invest that much money may I ask you a few questions. Is it single or double thickness? Is the inside pure silk? Does it stay on your head all night? Does it have elastic in the back? Have you noticed any hair breaking along the hairline? Is it cool enough to wear when the bedroom is hot? How long have you used it? Do you highly recommend it? Do you have to hold it in with bobby pins? 😊 Thank you!
@@jnorth9702 you’re welcome! The turban stays on the vast majority of nights but has come off a few times over the past 8 months. It doesn’t recommend using Bobby pins with it as it could cause breakage and I’ve found it stays on well without them. I’ve been wearing it on and off since last July. I’ve found no breakage along the hairline and I find it’s actually really nice to wear on hot nights as it keeps my hair up and off my neck which keeps me cooler. I do recommend it and I hope you like it as much as I do! 🤍
@@Daydreamerdanielle Thank you for your speedy reply! I’m thinking about sewing one but I would rather not. If it is double thickness with silk on the inside and has elastic in the back I will definitely purchase it, else I might buy silk fabric and sew one. I also could possibly modify the purchased one by adding elastic in the back to help it stay on all night. Would you please mind confirming these things? Thank you again!
Useful, thx. Satin is ethically superior to silk btw.
but satin is plastic, so
Doe sit stain your pillowcase or bed sheets
Should have showed the inside material. Came to see if it was soft on the inside as it looks on the outside or if it’s cotton or cheap inside
Sorry lovely! The turban is 100% real silk so the outside is silky smooth, while the inside has a slightly tougher texture. I’ve found this slightly rougher texture on the inside helps to keep the turban on and not slip off in the night! I’m not an expert on materials so I hope this makes sense haha 🤍🤍
I’m sure I have lost some hair along my hair line from wearing a silk bonnet
Ah I’m so sorry to hear that :( I’ve found my hairline has got much thicker since using it
Are you still wearing it now? Xx
Yeah still use it every night! 💗
Hello, Love from India😍😍
Tenta colocar legenda em português, pra mim se torna inacessível um conteúdo que parece ser bom 🇧🇷
That’s not how you’re supposed to wrap your hair even if you have fine/“white girl” hair ...
Hey lovely, I put my hair up the way Silke London recommends on the faq page on their site but any way is fine I suppose xx
Girl 😂 instead of saying “that’s not how you’re supposed to”.. you could actually give your opinion or advice rather than posting a non-helpful comment.
Ps loved your vid girly!🙌
How should it be wrapped? Could you explain or leave a link to a good video?
Not an expert but I think that you'd struggle less if you put your head down, tie it into a lose bun on the top of your head with a small alligator clip at the front then put the bonnet. That way your hair won't be moving all over the place in the bonet while you move in your sleep.
