    This is the ONLY curly hair product that has ACTUALLY worked on my unruly, frizzy curly hair. I’ve tried everything under the sun and never felt satisfied until I followed your method and bought this product. The color is super cute too. From the bottom of my heart THANK YOU!!! You saved my confidence bcs I used to think my natural curly hair had no saving

      Did you do it with your hair wet and curly? I’m wondering if I should straighten my hair first or if I do this with my damp curls the tightness and pull will do the job.

    I'm 65 years old. My grandma would do this to my hair when I was 4 or 5. She called them "rag" curls because she would use cloth scraps to rap the hair. These were so much nicer to sleep in than those old prickly curlers!!!

    I just finished "installing" it but I started with my left side and of course wasn't satisfied on the first go-around (I'm a perfectionist). So when I undid it to redo it, it had already curled my hair and it looked fabulous. Like my mouth literally fell open in amazement bc my hair never looked so beautifully waved and it was in for maybe 2 minutes. Mind blown. Can't wait to see it in the morning. Thanks for making it look (and actually be) so easy! ❤

I'd NEVER heard of this and am not skilled AT ALL in doing anything with my naturally wavy hair other than putting it back in a barrette. I tried it with my robe belt the next day, based on your original video, and even though it was a woeful attempt--couldn't quite wrap it well--it still came out really nice after 3 hours! I ordered the band and it's being delivered tomorrow. Looks like it will make the process much easier, and I can't wait to see the results! The heatless headband looks easier and quicker to use - not to mention, its cute enough to wear in public while you're waiting for the curls to form.. (unlike a head full of rollers or bobby-pins). Very nice. I have super curly, wavy hair. I did this w/ the rope belt last night. It worked and now I am going to get one of these products. They’re very cheap at T.J. Maxx. The robe belt is so long, it’s inconvenient to tie w/ the scrunchies and the whole thing is heavy. Also, used a micro towel. In the shower. Shower cap wd do, too, so you can shower in the am w/o re-wetting your hard work. Also, I”m dark brunette and it still looks good. A good first, sloppy try is very encouraging. TY❤

    • @RobeCurls
      @RobeCurls 3 роки тому +8

      Yes way cuter! And you are correct : ) Lots of ways to make them a little more loose and beachy. You can wrap hair in larger sections and less tightly. And once you are done wrapping your hair around the headband, just twist the ends less before tucking them in. the integrated wire gives you added curl control, so by twisting less, you will get looser, soft and voluminous waves.

    I tried the robe sash method & my hands are so incredibly inept with my hair I even messed that up! 🤣
    - BUT, this is a pretty cool idea, so I think I may want to try it...
    A little over a year ago I swore off heat styling & only use a cool blow drier to dry. I've seen a big difference in my hair health doing so, so I'm not stopping now. I have coarse & naturally porous hair that I'd call naturally "barely wavy" - only basically because it's texture it will react to the environment (humidity & dew point), & generally take on the wave of whatever I do to it. I also live in a climate that's VERY humid a good 9 months of the year, so I have to learn to work WITH my natural wave & not against it. This may be a great tool for doing so. Thanks!

Also, do you add any hair/bang extensions to your bangs? Thank you for another awesome tutorial!! Sending hugs!💖💖💖

    When you alternate pieces from the front and then strands from the back wrapping around you will get more curls also in the back. Now the midback is almost curlless except for the ends

    My hair does not hold a curl, so putting a little curl activator cream and a bit of gel before twist curling is a must for me. Also a light spray of hairspray can also help the hold after the curls are down and put in place.

    • @CORALSPL4N3T
      @CORALSPL4N3T 2 місяці тому

      If you do it with wet hair, the wetness would stay on your hair. It should be freshly washed and dry, then it would work

    • @AlexGaboury
      @AlexGaboury  2 місяці тому

      Thank you beautiful! If your hair is still wet when you take the curls out, they won't hold their shape and will likely fall out. Damp hair works best because it sets as it dries, locking in your curls. Hope that helps!❤️

    This tool and method is amazing! Thank you! I've never had such consistently good results with curling....Except one thing: The back of my hair turns out flat, especially above the curler, but even the curls toward the back are significantly less curly than in the front. I'm not too surprised that I'm having this issue, as I often do, having fine thin hair and a small head. Anyone have any tips to avoid this??

    • @dak319
      @dak319 3 місяці тому

      @cuca_ I have found some things that help! I spray and tease the hair at the crown of my head a bit before I start, leave it a little puffed up, do a zig-zag part down the back, and try to curve the curler to be a bit above my nape when tied off. When I take my hair down, I gently tease at the crown and spray it with hairspray again, and sea salt spray all over.

I've never been much into styling my hair but trying to elevate my looks by putting more effort into my hair styles. I'm about to purchase this tool, i had previously gotten a cheaper one on amazon but it didnt work as well, i like how this one the tube holds itself went bent. My hair is very fine and doesn't hold curls very well, would you recommend any specific styling cream or mousse to put into the hair when damp after showering to help hold the curls? Thank you so much for all your content, im going to try some of the up-do's for an upcoming family wedding!
