Thanks a lot for the informative video. I just have a tiny off-topic question. So, I have the exact same rims you have and I want to replace my tires with wider ones. How do I know which size to pick that would fit my rims? My current tires are 245.

i have a jeep wrangler with mud tire on it , i had to switch the spare tire to my front driver side because of some issue lately i have with that tire! my question is that can i use a spare tire that i haven't used since i put this mud tire on and its probably 1 and half years maybe less and only put less than 10k on it , so is it safe for me to use my spare tire after this long time?

If I Don't rotate my spare tire, but instead cover it, will it last many more years?

The right front wheel was spinning in One direction, Now when you change it to the rear left position, it is now spinning backwards, you shouldn't you rotate it into the alloy rim in order to keep the same spinning direction? I allways have this doubdt. Great videos, thanks

What about a tire alignment? Wouldn't he need one?

I've been told you can't rotate radial tires to the other side. Has something changed?

+Steve H. I figured this out a year ago, thanks anyway.

How dangerous why did you not use jack stands?

I think you should think about getting that oil leak check and worry about the tires later.

Why did you torque them to 95 ft/lbs? I thought it's supposed to be 100 ft/lbs.
Also, does the spare tire already have a pressure sensor in it from the factory?

Kevin H Yes they do.... so if you replace your tires and rims make sure to get TPMS sensors in all 5 - if you want the TPMS to work and not have flashing lights on your dash.

Stuart Morawski Why did you torque them to 95ft/lbs and not 100ft/lbs?

    • @Resist4
      @Resist4 9 років тому

Kevin H Nevermind, it looks like 95ft/lbs is correct for your year Jeep. My 2015 is 100ft/lbs.

5 ft lbs is in margin of error range, could be the difference between tourque wrenches.

What did you torque the spare tire at?

    • @Resist4

+Steve H. I hear what you are saying but there is still specified torque for it and that is what I'm trying to find out.

Forgot to mention to take it to your local tire place for them to plug a tool in your dash for the computer to 'relearn' the new tire position. Without doing this, the Jeep still thinks your tires are in the old positions.
