Phantom sword only appears in Phantom Hourglass and the main sword of Spirit Tracks is the Lokomo sword. The game where you travel back through time via the master sword is Ocarina of time.. but really that’s using the sacred realm as a mode of transport between a seven year gap. I think they stopped advancing the Adult Timeline because of them having to use different swords to the Master sword in each game. Spirit tracks is a very nice ending to the timeline though. It’s also because of its ending that I find it unlikely that BoTW takes place in the adult timeline since The old Hyrule, Master sword and Ganondorf were essentially destroyed at the end of Wind Waker, and a new continent was found and the kingdom of New Hyrule was founded between Spirit Tracks and Phantom Hourglass. They have no reason to travel back except prehapse on an archeological trip.

Instead of a rune, it would've made more sense in Twilight Princess. If you can talk to animals already, you might as well ask for help. Granted, that happens a few times anyway, but not after Link's Initiative. Thelma's Cat is a great example.

Rubber armour still has its uses. It’s best used when fighting Thunderblite Ganon, or getting to Zora’s domain (Shock arrows will only deal 1/4 of a heart) It’s not that hard to obtain either. The quests for it are; Thunderous Plataue: Big stormy plataue in the ridgelands region. Statis launch two orbs to the centeral area, then knock the third down with an arrow before putting them in place. Find chest with chest plate under starting position of shrine. Thunder magnet: Get ontop of the Faron stable and remove an axe. Talk to lady, get given rubber helm. A Song of storms: Climb up to the big rock above the waterfalls using trees, Zora armour or revali’s gale. Have it be struck by lightning. In shrine is rubber leg armour. None are that hard. After you just need 30 electric ChuChu Jelly and 15 volt fruit to upgrade it to level 2 to become immune to electricity. It’s also nice to have it as an alternative to the Thunder Helm. You don’t end up taking a priceless heirloom from the goroudo chief who is still trying to get to grips with the whole ‘being a leader’ thing. Least Riju’s apperance In Hyrule Warriors implies that she gets it back from Link. On the other hand... Nintendo compleatly forgot about the level 2 flame breaker armour’s ability. There’s this shrine called block the blaze in the champions Ballard... and you can just walk straight to the monk wearing the armour. Only have to move one single block to make a bridge over lava.

For the giants mask. You can see Link giggling while he uses it. He's having fun pummeling the red twinmold with his bare hands. And personally. I find it kind of adorable.
Now that you mention it, me too. Faore's Wind was also pretty worthless because its use was unclear without knowing the dungeon layouts very well, but thankfully it found amazing use in breaking the game and Nayru's Love can at least be useful in high damage setting randomizers.
@@sigurdtheblue Bro. Naru's love is super useful in 3 heart runs and the dreaded 3 heart 3D masterquest. Fayore's wind is shper useful even without knowing dungeon layouts. It can be used for backtracking, that one room where it's easy to fall in the fire temple, and you can save, quit, go do something important like pay bills/go to work, and then when you come back, you just use the Fayore's wind to get back to where you left off.
Nayrus love being useful is entirely dependent on your skill is the thing, if you're good at the game you obviously wont need it, but if you're having trouble with some fights I could see it having a use. The issue there of course is that ocarina of time just isn't a very difficult game, if it had stronger late game enemies/bosses it could have been a lot more universally useful

When I saw the video title the spinner was literally the first item on my mind. I was pleased to see the video come right out of the gate talking about it. Maybe i'm biased in saying this, since it was the first Legend of Zelda title i played, but Ocarina of time had some of the best items in the series. Items like Dins fire, Farores wind and Nayrus love are fantastic items that i would have loved to see more of. They were so versatile. Silver and Golden gauntlets to augment Links strength, and the Lens of truth to see hidden rooms and switches. And the best part is that all of these items are used in different parts of hyrule, separate from the respective dungeons they are found in. I would have also liked to see more of are the Big ball and chain in Twilight Princess, would have especially been helpful in BOTW instead of having to make a fire or use fire arrows to melt glaciers in the hebra region.
If they called the spinner "Link's custom $9000 beyblade" you can bet his harem would be canon and the game would end not with plunging the Master Sword into Ganon's chest, but with Ganon collapsing due to his realization of how lame he is compared to Link doing a kick-flip on his Custom $9000 Beyblade *truly, the spinner is the envy of all in Hyrule*

The Mirror shield in Link’s awakening does bounce back beamos and other projectiles, at least in the HD version, not sure if it did in the original or just the remake
Yeah, I feel like he was actually mis-representing its appearance because I remember it working in a 2D game where the laser even had angled trajectory on reflection. Might have been the original version of Link's Awakening.
The mirror shield in the original Gameboy release of Link’s Awakening worked similar to A Link To The Past. I cannot speak to the DX version, but the remake for Nintendo Switch does allow projectiles to bounce back such as spears thrown by moblins or arrow a shot at Link.
I always love your videos. Thanks for uploading. Oh, about Wolf Link, he does do one other thing. If you are looking for shrines and your shrine sensor goes off, if it is on terrain that Wolf Link can traverse, he will guide you to it. It's pretty neat. Also, I should also mention that if you are about to go up against a mini boss, if Wolf Link attacks before you do, the monster will generally target him, allowing you to fight the thing with Wolf Link being a distraction. It's pretty useful if you can pull it off. 🧡
When I played the remake of Majora's Mask, I decided to help every single character on the game before beating the game so everyone could have a 100% happy ending when I destroyed Majora. The time window to help everyone was very tight but it was doable. The fight with Twinmold, however, was the one thing that could ruin the entire 3-day cycle. What an awful and tedious boss mechanic.
as far as wolf link is concerned i think i would have liked to see it handled more like epona, that is to say, there are plenty of horses, but epona is unique to the amino, they could have done the same with wolf link, you can find and befriend dogs, but wolf link has a unique skin and maybe better than average stats
Can you please make this into a video- The twilight realm in twilight princess has a huge number of structures with swirls that suspiciously resemble the Zonai's, while in some places, most notably Midna's body, there is also a blue hue very similar to the ones on botw's shrines and Guardians. As you mentioned in a previous video that this hue might be spirits of some sort, maybe the ones in twilight princess are also the souls of people???
The turtle rock dungeon in links awakening once you go inside, there is a flying monster (Vire) that allows you to use the shield to reflect the energy attack back to the enemy. Or I guess you could use the boomerang as well as I just googled images of the beast. I forgot to add that the mirror shield will also reflect beamos beam shutting him down.
small interesting fact, the spinner can actually be used in a few other places in TP. Hidden throughout the map are areas containing heart pieces or rupees and the only way to access them is by using the spinner. I cant remember the location of each place, but I know they're in the general vicinity of hyrule field.
I was confused about wolf link because I thought it was like the Epona amibo, it's a special horse skin basically....so I may have gotten myself in trouble trying to tame in game wolves thinking there was a way to make them a companion 😅

One more perk of Wolf Link is that if you get tear the target of your Sheikah Sensor he will start walking towards the target, so you can follow him to the target.
Great vid! How about a list of underrated Zelda items? I feel like a lot of 2D Zelda items are sorely underappreciated, like Oracle of Age’s Seed Shooter, with its angled shot puzzles
Unfortunately impossible. The way the Giant Mask works is that putting it on during the Twinmold fight teleports Link to an arena that's scaled in a way that makes it *seem* Link has become a giant, i.e. he doesn't grow, it's all an illusion that relies on there being a specially crafted map and boss.
In game it makes sense that FD is boss only as you get it before the final boss and the fact that Majora gives it to you and acts like the fight is a game, but Giant's mask is never really given any explanation as to why you can only use it in that one room. The lack of anything in game even hinting at a reason makes it feel more underused as well.

Heres a big importnat question: Will there ever be a new Cartoon about Zelda?
I mean, the Potential is sure there - and the last one was MISERABLE!
So?
I dunno, I think having a new power for the final boss only makes the battle that much more special.
Are you talking about Spirit Tracks?
I think it's one of the best TloZ out there.
Mostly because Zelda is actually usefull in the story.
Everyone is talking about how they want zonai appearance in botw 2 when I just want to be able to pet dogs, also someone should make a theory on how the zonai slowly turned into the bokoblins and moblins
Their treasure chests at their camps also look similar to the Zonai warrior helmet
I’ve never heard that theory before, doesn’t make much sense
I've seen someone say that the zonai actually turned into lynel, because the mane and horns of the barbarian helm are very similar to a lynel's.
@@smilingman4299 maybe they took inspiration from lynels
@@bentleythecar8738 I doubt any kind of sane person would admire Ganon's monsters enough to craft their armors after them.
PS : Kilton is NOT a sane person
Completely agree on all of these. I was bummed to see that the spinner wasn't used more and not included in future games
Would've enjoyed a rune to get animals to help: wolves, birds, etc. that would help in puzzles and combat.
I prefer to be alone.
Thats whats so good about the runes. Often theyre optional
That doesn't really make sense tho. You'd have to manipulate the mind of every animal you want to help you
Yeah, just have link put his hat on them to take control of them
Instead of a rune, it would've made more sense in Twilight Princess.
If you can talk to animals already, you might as well ask for help.
Granted, that happens a few times anyway, but not after Link's Initiative.
Thelma's Cat is a great example.
So much focus on the Triforce in this series but you never get to really wield it in gameplay.
Well the game would be pretty much over if you did wield it. That thing is way too overpowered to let the players run rampant with it.
The triforce's power is to grant wishes so I'm not sure how you could use it in actual gameplay
The Triforce allows only one wish per person which is why it's mostly acted as a story object, I see no way to implement it as an item without breaking its purpose.
It's an artifact not an item or a weapon.
Tell that to Ganon. In OoT and TP at least he uses it to channel his attacks.
Instead of using wolf Link. It would've been cool to be able to tame wild wolves.
Or befriend some dogs at each of the stables and be able to switch out between doggo companions. Would have been cooler than just feeding them some meat and having them lead you to some random loot.
@@cajunseasoning1846Hawks as well. They'd work similar to the way they worked in Twilight Princess or the beetle item from skyward sword. I've imagined Link to be some sort of beast master. The rubber armor was rendered completely useless and even harder to obtain than the Thunder helm. 🤦
Fair but The helm doesnt look as cool
I always use the rubber armor dyed red with the red hylian hood. It looks so dang cool!
Rubber armour still has its uses. It’s best used when fighting Thunderblite Ganon, or getting to Zora’s domain (Shock arrows will only deal 1/4 of a heart) It’s not that hard to obtain either. The quests for it are;
Thunderous Plataue: Big stormy plataue in the ridgelands region.

Link's using his Q branch issued gadget to hack nearby statues
For the giants mask. You can see Link giggling while he uses it. He's having fun pummeling the red twinmold with his bare hands. And personally. I find it kind of adorable.
The fact that Nayru's love wasnt in this has me slightly tilted
@@sigurdtheblue Interesting. Any particular examples of Farore's Wind being used to break the game?
Nayrus love being useful is entirely dependent on your skill is the thing, if you're good at the game you obviously wont need it, but if you're having trouble with some fights I could see it having a use. The issue there of course is that ocarina of time just isn't a very difficult game, if it had stronger late game enemies/bosses it could have been a lot more universally useful
11:00 correct me if I’m wrong but I think he DOES lead you to whatever you are targeting with your Sheikah Sensor if you’re near it, making it easier especially if it’s like a mushroom, chest, or specific weapon you’re targeting
Dang, I would love that because it takes so long to find things.
Going to add to that - in my dcperience, he can at least track down shrines, even before the game explicitly gives you the Shiekah Sensor.
I absolutely love what they did with the spinner in Hyrule Warriors, it makes me love the spinner sooooo much more
They also did cool things with the Dominion Rod. Zelda is the rightfull bearer of that magnificent scepter.
This is why TP needs a sequel
My favorite underrated item is the Beetle from Skyward Sword. I know a lot of people hate it because of the motion controls but I absolutely LOVED it. It was so cool to fly around an RC drone and was so useful to see around corners to make sure I was going the correct way. I wish people would’ve given Skyward Sword a better chance. The whole game in general is underrated and it has some really fun items and mechanics!
I looove skyward swordddd
Bro the beetle was hype!
The controls weren't the best but the concept was really cool.
Because of motion and touch screen controls there will always be 3 Zelda games I'll never be able to beat. 😭

When I saw the video title the spinner was literally the first item on my mind. I was pleased to see the video come right out of the gate talking about it. On top of that, as a Zelda fan I didn’t even know the giant mask existed. It seems like it could be one of the most powerful items in the series.
It’s literally on the thumbnail and also so much for playing the game and beating the dungeon if you didn’t know of the mask
@@ЕгорСкорик-щ3в I didn’t play the game. Mostly a Twilight Princess, Wind Waker, and BOTW fan since I’m in my 20s. Also on mobile the art for the thumbnail is just a blob.
The spinner did get its own move set in Hyrule warriors so at least they appreciated it

The Sand Wand from Spirit Tracks would be also interesting
If they called the spinner "Link's custom $9000 beyblade" you can bet his harem would be canon and the game would end not with plunging the Master Sword into Ganon's chest, but with Ganon collapsing due to his realization of how lame he is compared to Link doing a kick-flip on his Custom $9000 Beyblade
*truly, the spinner is the envy of all in Hyrule*

The Mirror shield in Link’s awakening does bounce back beamos and other projectiles, at least in the HD version, not sure if it did in the original or just the remake
Yeah, I feel like he was actually mis-representing its appearance because I remember it working in a 2D game where the laser even had angled trajectory on reflection. Might have been the original version of Link's Awakening.
@@sigurdtheblue It works that was in at least the DX version so I'd have to assume it works in the original.
I've always expected that Giant Link to stop the moon alongside the Four Giants, at least in a cinematic the giant mask would be useful
Can you please make this into a video-
The twilight realm in twilight princess has a huge number of structures with swirls that suspiciously resemble the Zonai's, while in some places, most notably Midna's body, there is also a blue hue very similar to the ones on botw's shrines and Guardians. As you mentioned in a previous video that this hue might be spirits of some sort, maybe the ones in twilight princess are also the souls of people???
Mirror shield in links awakening remake for the switch reflects most things.
Specifically projectiles.
@@Sammy-iw9en Also moblin spears get reflected but not octo rocks. Idk why
small interesting fact, the spinner can actually be used in a few other places in TP. Hidden throughout the map are areas containing heart pieces or rupees and the only way to access them is by using the spinner. I cant remember the location of each place, but I know they're in the general vicinity of hyrule field.
@Manek Iridius 😂 as someone who lives in Texas, I can 100% agree. I just don’t remember the exact spots so I said general vicinity lmao
This whole list really upsets me; I know how great all of these could've been if they had more use, especially the Dominion Rod and Wolf Link
I don't know why, but the Goldeneye 64 music in the Dominion Rod intro made me burst out laughing.
I was confused about wolf link because I thought it was like the Epona amibo, it's a special horse skin basically....so I may have gotten myself in trouble trying to tame in game wolves thinking there was a way to make them a companion 😅
The editing in this video is top-notch! Bravo
Ha! I knew you would pick the Dominion Rod for this. So much backstory and work for this artifact. Yet all it does is move some statues? How exactly does it allow it's wielders to communicate with sky beings? It just never made any sense, almost like it got the wrong description.
your introduction to the dominion rod made it sound like the oocca are aliens, which sounds like a cool theory

Playing as Giant-Link sounds like a SwanyBox type of challenge. "Can you beat 'Majora's Mask' as Giant Link from start to finish?"

I'm mostly fine with the FD Mask being boss-only, but only really because of my own head-canon providing an in-universe reason for it.
