Same. I have no idea why ppl keep saying it takes long to charge. I don't even have it on fast charging mode and it takes 90mins to go from less than 30% to 100%.
Probably a type a to type c from a non- fast charging adapter, if you bust out and older type c cables and plug it i to the cheapest brick you can find and pop that straight into the wall your phone will probably only stay at the same charge level and never actually increase charge
Have had my phone since release date. The hinge crunch is definitely due to the screen protector. If you have the phone wide open and press pretty hard on the screen protector at the hinge, you can hear the crunchy noises too.
Keep in mind if you get Samsung Care Plus and that factory applied screen protector goes like mine, they won't cover it. Basically you can smash the phone against the desk and crack the screen and they'll cover... They won't. Good way to piss people off Samsung!
Love my ZFlip 6. I moved from a Fold 4 when my contract ran out on that and I do not regret a single thing about that. Slowly learning all the tricks for using the camera, particularly whith group selfies etc. The learning curve can be steep but the results are great.
I switched from my fold 4 to a flip 6. I liked my Fold 4 but the battery life was a day tops with no use and was having to charge it when I got home even with battery save. the Flip 6 with battery save on is giving me about a say and a half even with use for podcast, youtube and social media scrolling. good Lock was not that great to figure out but once I did I am enjoying it and even watch most of my videos on it. speakers a little bit tiny compared to the fold 4 but are usable. I did put a black and gold case on it and add a Star trek tos communicator graphic to the top and lock screens with some special notification and ring tones.
i want a flip6 reaaaaaallly badly, but im just not convinced of the longevity of the hinge and screen yet. i have an iphone 14 pro max that i would have to trade in to get the flip 6 and that just doesn't seem like a good idea, as much as i want to do it. i'm probably just going to wait for the flip 7.

I have a flip 6. Got it 2.5 months ago. Love it but it's not for everyone. Going into getting it I was fully aware that its not going to be as durable as a slab. But I didn't care. I wanted the form factor and versatile. I got insurance and will see how it goes. If your going to be stressed out and worried don't get it. Pretty simple.
Hi, I also have a flip6, got it on release, I have no issue with the hinge and the screen as of yet, the fact that is so small it makes it so much less prone to dropping, I have small hands and it's the best decision I ever made switching to it. I also take care of it and I clean it on the regular. It's my first foldable phone and tbh I m not sure I ll ever go back to regular phones.
I've been a Flip user since the 3 and I carry an iPhone as my daily. I can confidently say this device is 100% worth the investment. It has become my daily driver.
I've just recently bought a near mint condition Flip 3 and I'm loving it. Part of that is oddly that the outer screen isn't just a smaller version of the inner one. It has all the features I need when not actively using my phone from quickly seeing the time to skipping music tracks while working.
I hope they make budget-friendly versions. My grandma always complains about how her phone is too big, and she likes these foldable ones because of how small they are.
My wife and I got new phones a couple of months ago. I got the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, and she got the z flip 6. I'm pretty rough on phones, but she is very very gentle on phones. The main screen on her z flip 6 just went out, and the place in my town that fixes them said that it's a very common issue for the main screen to go out, and that the parts are like a month out. I tried to dissuade her from getting the folding phone, but she had to have it.
I had my flip 6 since release date (it's been 4 months now), I also hear crunches when I open it. But I realized that hinge crunches are normal because it is the way for the phone to hold up to different degrees when the phone is on flex mode.
Is it possible to use the cover screen at the same time of the main screen to mirror what the main screen is seeing? I was watching reels the other night facing my gf, and I was thinking, is there a way that she could see what I'm seeing from the cover screen??? Googling and even Gemini has not provided answers. I've noticed after a month of usage that if the phone is tilted slightly downwards when viewing, the crease itself displays a line of shadow and a line that is brighter than the rest of the display on white or light backgrounds. Has anyone else noticed this?
Here's hoping the Z Flip 7 FE comes with only a 50mp camera and no internal one. Since most people won't use the internal one on a flip 6 (or a wide lens). And make it cheaper

I've had couple Z Flips and each time I wanted to like it, but opening it every single time you want to do about anything got annoying fast. I had a Motorola Razr 2020 with the bigger front screen and got tired of that also so guess this form factor just isnt for me..The folds on the other hand I enjoy a ton.
Personally foldables still dont offer me anything i cant achieve for $200 with a cheap tablet and keyboard. People can try to force me to like foldables all they want but it's a form factor with a price tag that I just dont think justifies itself outside the realm of "lol isnt this a cool gimmick though?" I also think its funny Denki says this is a good place to get into z flips when moments earlier he says he hopes the next iteration fixes the weird screen dip/ QC issues. We get a new phone every five seconds from the big companies and phones might as well be cars, instantly depreciateing the moment they touch your hand. Youll always have the "worse" model when the cycle for new phones just keeps getting shorter and shorter. I buy a budget decent phone instead if chasing the flagship high because im not into leasing out a pocket device thats outdated by the time you pay it off and generating mountains of e-waste chaseing specs.

I just don't think the advantage of having an unfolding phone is worth blowing a grand over. If I'm already carrying a 40% mechanical keyboard why not save money and carry my tablet? I'm a woman so half my pants dont have pockets anyway so I already have a bag on hand. It just makes no sense to consolidate my devices into one that's more delicate, super expensive, and offers me little to no advantage over devices i already have.

So I searched the internet for a device that was 512 GB and would receive major software updates at least until 2027 and security patches for longer. Turns out the cheapest option was a refurbished Z flip 5.

My feeling on this is that folding phones are a money pit and only excusable for people who can trade in phones every 2 years The only budget new folding phones are the 2023 Motorola Razr models for $399 and $599. The 2024 model isn't ridiculous at $699 and Cricket is selling one for $250. Don't know if that's unlocked.

Took me two days of using it to fully understand why Austin is gushing about it so much, and I don't think I'll go back to a normal slab.
got one of these as a work phone a few weeks ago (my work has a good relationship with samsung and get a free phone every year) and the only real complaint i have is the front screen being 60 hz
Naa dude, too many compromises. I love me some iPhone mini but could never make it my main/only phone. I noticed I was liking it more after using my z fold 6 a lot out and about when I wasn't unfolding it much. Makes sense because the mini has the exact same screen width, just a lot lighter and pocketable. The z flip 6 is a nice middle ground because it's the first fold that feels so close to a slab phone when open that you basically forget most of the time
Don't expect flagship camera lol on a 1100 quid phone? Well i would want their top phone camera if i paid that price? Noisy hinge after 2 months that's scary too.

Its not the protector, I removed mine and the noise is still there. Its the adhesion between the screen and the body of the phone failing.
