The phone is really good I love it but extremely fragile, if you get it, treat it like a baby when opening and closing, i was a bit hard on my zflip6 that i got on launch day and the screen stopped working completely, samsung customer service replaced the entire screen module and batteries for free under warranty and since then, the phone works better, it doesn't overheat, no noise when touching the crease but now I open it and close it with love and care, its a weird feeling you kinda fall in love with that form factor
@@Xpressnorton I had same idea experience with the screen. Outside of an issue with a local 3rd party repair place I was sent to for repair (they didn't help; said they were short staffed and no one there trained to repair Flip 6!), Samsung svce was great. I mailed phone back to them for repair and got it back only 3 days later).. it's only been a few days but I'm confident phone is fine now. I take it easy with the phone but if you're looking for a more compact phone to carry around it's great.
Really really love the look of the phone and all the fun customize you can do on it still just really really skittish of getting one because of so many bad reviews I have read about it main one I’m worried about is the reviews that have people saying that there quit working after a week of having thier screens going black or the inner screen not responding to touch don’t really to spend that much money on a phone and have it quit working right now have a galaxy a53 the flip 6 would the most expensive I would own if I decide to upgrade to it
I was just as unsure as you but eventually made the call to get one, because there are also lots of people saying theirs has been fine (as well as people saying their flip 3-4-5 still works and has zero issues after several years!) so really i think it just comes down to if you can be somewhat careful with it, its not super fragile either (like some people appear to say it is) but you gotta respect that the inside screen is literally some bendy floppy piece of plastic, doubt it would be hard to break if you tried, but it shouldnt just break from normal use either. Also worth mentioning is that a lot of people have reported that Samsung seems to be very good with free repairs under any sort of warranty (including the free 'factory warranty' thats included in every purchase) so there have not really been ANY reports yet (based on 2 days of searching) of people having to _pay_ for a new screen, even if the phone was very clearly dropped far/hard it appears to be "fine" for warranty 🤷♂ I only got mine today so cant give you much insight in durability, but the screen & device as a whole feel sturdy and like they would last, going by the roughly 100 reports i found online of all kinds of screen issues compared to the millions of devices sold, im pretty sure it'll be fine, if not, im 100% sure i can get free screen replacements 👍
@@suicidalbanananana thanks for answering back have talked to people who have they haven’t had any problems with the screen going black or not responding to touch so leaning more upgrading from the galaxy a53 to the flip 6
I love this phone already, but the screen does make me think twice. The reason is because I don't have the confidence that I won't break it within the first year :> So I decided to go with the S24 plus.
I have a sony phone. It's been 7 years now 😁 and I'm thinking about buying a new phone and i really like z flip 6 so far but there's something I'm worried about and that durability. I mostly change my phone every 3 to 4 years (except this last one lol). Do you think z flip 6 is a good option for me? can it hold it together for 4 years? 😅 great review btw. love your content ❤️
The Flip 5 was so disappointing. It's hard to imagine the 6 lasting much longer. Dust getting under the screen protector and the screen protector separating from the screen was a major problem. The screen protector would also start to crack around the crease. I had the screen protector replaced and it only lasted a couple months. 200k folds is a lie. Maybe if you have an office job and don't really go outside much this would last longer.
I liked the phone, but it is still a very fragile device. My friend had hers from release date and looked after it, but it developed a black spot on the left side of the screen over the hinge, front screen stopped working and the screen occasionally didn't turn on via the side button. The phone suddenly stopped functioning and turning on within a day and she had to send it back to Samsung and await a decision from them. She is left without a phone or sim and they said it could take 10 days to fix if they fix it at all. Never going with these phones again - its a constant worry whether it'll break or not
I actually investigated how to deal with this issue before getting mine because i've been reading some comments similar to yours, but still really wanted my first foldable, so i had to be sure this wasnt an issue. For most of the world appearantly we can (after talking with samsung support) just drop it off at a local "GSM repair" type shop (you know the ones, they exist pretty much everywhere these days) and they will just replace the screen (and more if needed) in a day at zero costs, with just the most basic of basic warranties (the one you get as a customer of anything, not one you have to buy extra from samsung or your provider, but the 'factory warranty') That honestly seems acceptible, obviously it should never break in the first place, lets be real here, its a flexible screen where "the screen protector is part of the structure", so its bound to be prety weak & have issues. Luckily Samsung pretty much acknowledges this (but obviously doesnt advertise with it) so repairs are not an issue for 99.9% of people. To be blunt people with these foldables stand out, they are advertisement for Samsung, Samsung will make sure we are happy with our foldables. Hope your friend gets hers fixed quick, 10 days seems very extreme, should be free, would love to hear if it is. (some other youtuber admitted to dropping theirs and then when their screen started failing and they got it repaired they were told the whole internal frame was bent because of how hard it had fallen lol, all of that got fixed and still as a free repair with just the default 'factory warranty' stuff)
mine did th same thing made that weird nosie I had all the flips and I sold mine once I started to hear that. Glad to hear it wasnt anything bad happening.
They need to make the 24 ultra in flip form with the camera like the flip 6 placement and that would be perfect. If the screens where wider and bigger it would be perfect. And enhance volume.
Hi nice video 😊 I have a question, so have you experienced the black screen ? Or it being glitchy ? Has the charging port worked so far ? Some people say the phone doesn’t charge or something like that. Thanks .
Yea some people say it starts by the phone not charging and then it goes down hill from there 🥴 But I really want this phone I’m just afraid of the durability
That was a good review. Apparently it's not fragile. Most people your age destroy their mobile device within 6 months. 😆I'll be getting the Flip 6 soon. I'll hit that SUB button on my way out.
Mine stop working after one month and went back to my S21 ultra. Never had problems with the zflip 3,4 and 5 but the 6 kinda killed it for me so im now better off using a candy bar phone
@m_4.e0 1st the larger screen randomly stopped working (a problem multiple people had). I got that fixed, only for it to happen again, but worse, the screen totally glitched & and blacked out, completely unusable

I agree, I want this cellphone but I like to hold on My phones for like 3 years, so I wanted to know if it's worth it

6 months later, the screen protector is coming off. It happened with the 5 like before
What's that button or slider looking thing next to your sim-card slot? My Z Flip 6 doesn't have that.
@@storm3016 i'm actually gonna ask about that as well
On the 6th month of use like clockwork, the inner screen protector is starting to peel and I'll need to replace it. It isn't broken but it's annoying

Are the selfies near the level of the new iPhone, cause that's a deal break on what to get ?
Thanks for the great video❤️ though
the back camera is amazing and u can use it as a selfie camera
@papag4446 a lot better on the flip since you'll be taking selfies on the main cam.
