Please let me know if you’d like to see more of this series! Sorry the audio is a rollercoaster - it was my attempt to save you from my BOOMING laughter lmao but seriously editing this took ages, we actually talked for 1.5 HOURS 😂 hope this is one of those videos you can just play and listen to in the background! Big thank you again to Jenn for sharing her thoughts and experiences 💗 🥰 Time stamps are in the description!
Thank you so much for making this video! I'll be applying for the 2024 JD intake and it's been so helpful learning about your experience with it (and also very comforting to know that it's led to a career that you're content and happy with)!!
this was super fun to listen to ! super insightful and relatable to uni life and adjusting to work/life balance - you guys seem like really sweet supportive friends!! thanks Jenn for sharing your story with us! and love the long format video Jamie!! 💖
Hi Jenn and Jamie! I loved this video, as other comments have said, it's like a fun and informative chat with some of new friends! My field is very far from arts/law/commerce but there were so many good insights from this anyways❤ I would love more in this series from different people😊
I have absolutely loved this! I would love to see more videos like this! I’m actually thinking about going to law school… But actually for immigration law! This was so interesting!
this is so interesting!! I was never interested in law at a career but I do think its an interesting subject/major! I think internships are so so important and helpful when it comes to figuring out what you truly want to do and if you like it! "A happy lawyer, I found one" 😂
Thanks so much, Michelle! ❤️ So glad you found it interesting! I loved my law studies, so many interesting subjects and the electives were really diverse :)
Hey Jamie and Jenn! I really enjoyed the video and massive thanks to Jenn for sharing her story. I'm a current 3rd-year commerce/ law undergraduate student and had many questions that were addressed to Jenn in the video so it was really insightful. I wanted to ask whether grades play a massive role in applying for internship or clerkship position within the penultimate year? Or a balance between grades and extra curriculum greatly assisted in the application process? I do recognise having high grades and participating in extracurriculars within uni can be quite challenging so was curious.
Aw thank you so much, I’m really happy you enjoyed this video! In my experience, a balance between grades and extra curriculars really helped me. I think extra curriculars made me a more well rounded student. I was able to draw on them in interviews (eg connecting my experience editing for a peer reviewed law journal with my attention to deal and communication skills) and I think they were just a great way of seeing what being a lawyer might actually look like (eg negotiation competitions, volunteering at a community legal centre) and make connections with other law students and the profession more generally. It was definitely challenging balancing studies/work/extra curriculars but for me, I felt it was worth it. Hope that helps! 😊
@@SundayswithJamie Thank you so much, Jamie. I was wondering whether I can ask what is your current career? It didn't seem to be addressed in the video but focused more on Jenn which I understand :)
this was so helpful ;-; i want to study law in Australia but was confused by how everything works as an international student. Did Jenn study undergrad and postgrad in Melbourne U or did she change for postgrad? tysm for this!
Hey Jamie. Thanks for the awesome video! I am a lawyer too and would like to reach out to Jenn after seeing this video. What’s the best way to contact her? I tried a Google search but no luck! Cheers Greg
Great video. I am thinking of going to law school at the U of Melbourne. Did you feel like going their gave you an advantage since it’s ranked number 1 in Australia and highly ranked in the world? Also, if I were to study law at Melbourne, what are my employment opportunities in Melbourne compared to Sydney? Thanks :)
Hi! i'm a juris doctor graduate in the Philippines, contemplating of studying masters of law in AU,.. can u point me as to where i can study and work at the same time? :)
Heyy Jamie Benita here.... I just had a doubt In Australia in order to get into a law degree will I hv to undertake an undergrad degree other than law. So if I take up bachelor's in law will it be fine or I hv to opt for some other degree other than law And which uni did u graduate from

Can you adjust the mic levels when you're laughing loudly - it's painful to listen having to adjust the volume level constantly.
