I thoroughly enjoyed your video. Excellent how-to narration, and awesome camera shots of this magnificent machine. I wasn't expecting the cliffhanger ending though! 😄
A great update to the tractor. Electronic Ignition will make that tractor fire up like a cat on hot tin roof. I have to admit, I saw Part 2 before Part 1 but I'm still excited so I went back to see Part 2 again (chuckle). Man, you sure left everyone hanging, didn't ya? (smile). Thumbs up.
How long before those wires get caught on something and pulled off? Especially the one from the switch to the coil, it ought to be routed behind the oil filter at the very least, or along the top of the engine and down like the factory did...
Wanted to let you know, I just subscribed. Love the videos. Tons of great info. Just purchased my first Farmall yesterday. A 1950 M. I will be making some videos soon for my channel on it. Just wanted to tell you, Great job, thank you and Happy Easter!
I respect the whole maintenance free thing , I just think its ironic that the ignition on the 64 304 in our 1200 had been converted, and since I had bought it as an emp proof bov, I put it back to points and condenser. Lol
New to your channel. Watch several, but never comment. Gave ya thumbs up on the ones I watched already. Cool info. I learned to drive on a tractor bailing hay at age ten :-)
I like the magnetos better. I used to crank start a C and Super C. if it was available we would park it on a hill. Points and electronic ignitions require battery voltage to get a spark.
I have a distributor shaft that has a little bit of wobble in it. It causes my points to not always open enough which affects the reliability of the engine starting. Do you think this would work to correct my problem?
I went to try and start my grandfather’s tractor today but unfortunately I need new points. Do you have a link on where I can purchase this setup please
Man, I could never get away with working in a white jacket! Good on ya! I have heard those Pentronix ignitions burn out a lot. What is the trick to preventing that?
Oh man! You left us hanging lol. I dont know alot about IH but I have an opportunity to buy and restore a 656. Is it worth fixing up? What should I offer for it? Thanks for the video and thr tune up lol
William Chambers 656D? That will have the American 282 engine. Guys let the glow plugs go on them and the reverted to ether. Very hard starting engines, but run like a dream. My question is what all does the tractor need?
William Chambers ok, check the gas tank. If he has left it empty, it will most likely be full of rust. So plan on redoing the tank. Thats gonna be the 263 engine. One of the best plowing/working tractors i ever had was a 656 gasser. I have a video of me speed plowing with a 656 gas. If the loader is an IH 2000, its worth about 2000 grand. The tractor itself you gotta find out why it hasnt ran.
woww ur so brave to deal with that kind of animals!!!! farmall why i cant see my comments ?? do u watch my videos sweety? im subbed ur channel.. sorry if i have been deleting the comments on my channel... but do u think i am cute -? am i cute? ill be there on ur live to flirt and talk with the ppl. @@ThefarmLife. yes

@@ThefarmLife. parts store...tell them what engine u have
Cool! My mechanical knowledge is limited, but I enjoyed watching this.
A great vid, very educational, Thank You For Sharing..
Thank you!
This has been the best investment on my John Deere 60. A set of points used to last for years. Now they don't last an oil change.
Same here...my M screams
I put a Pertronix Electronic Ignition system on my 1950 IH Farmall Super A a few years ago. Really like it.
Ill never go back!
Me either. An easy fix. I have had mine for a few years now and never had a problem.@@FarmallFanatic
this is fascinating, one of the best channels im following :)
my H died yesterday. like the coil took a crap. running along and then click just like you pushed the kill button in.
Did it restart after u let it cool down?
no just pushed it by hand out of the way to keep working. will look at it after hay and fencing are done.

RonBootsFarm my wiring is ass backwards. Plus, im gonna throw on a ballast resistor. 😁
Farmall Fanatic “ass backwards”- is that a technical term? 😂😂😂

By the way, were did you get the rebuilt carb, looking to have my carb rebuilt on my McCormick Farmall H, drop me a line, thank you..
Some of them I do myself n some of them I buy right off of eBay it depends on how much time I have

The spacing between the magnet is pretty critical. Id look at a new distributor.
Leave us hanging and wanting more. LOL Great information and makes me want to do pertronix more since they backed up their product
120 Acre Wood part 2 coming up lol

Stopping by to say Hi!!
CountryGirl Adventures hello!
Man, I could never get away with working in a white jacket! Good on ya! I have heard those Pentronix ignitions burn out a lot. What is the trick to preventing that?
Honestly, dont buy a Pertronix. If you do, make sure you dont stall and leave the key hot.
Thanks for the advice. Was hoping to not fool with points...oh well.
very informative thanks barry
You're welcome 👍
Excellent job
I didn't realize they made those conversions for tractors, I know they have had them for small engines for many years.
MissouriOldTimer yea, theyre kinda neat.
Informative video
I would love to see this program for a international 140 positive ground 6 volt
Fascinating 😎
Sherry Sherry 😁👍
can someone get me the part numbers and what company to order this from. I am finding noting when i try to get help
Go right to ebay
are these any good?
Yes!
I was wondering because I heard they burn out easy
Do not get the pentronix and do not leave the key on or the Ignition on with the tractor not running.
Great information
5 year warranty don’t twist my arm lol but you left us hanging but I bet it fired right up
Part 2 is floatin around somewhere in my video pile haha

Scott’s Small Farming and Things . Part 2 happened 😁👍
Would have liked to see it fire up,but Thanks for sharing.
Thomas Schmitt Homestead project thats part 2 😁
you could have pulled the distributor rotated it and had those wires coming out the bottom, re installed plug wires accordingly
No doubt
Well done buddy!
Great stuff man
