    A great update to the tractor. Electronic Ignition will make that tractor fire up like a cat on hot tin roof. I have to admit, I saw Part 2 before Part 1 but I'm still excited so I went back to see Part 2 again (chuckle). Man, you sure left everyone hanging, didn't ya? (smile). Thumbs up.

    How long before those wires get caught on something and pulled off? Especially the one from the switch to the coil, it ought to be routed behind the oil filter at the very least, or along the top of the engine and down like the factory did...

    I have a distributor shaft that has a little bit of wobble in it. It causes my points to not always open enough which affects the reliability of the engine starting. Do you think this would work to correct my problem?

    • @FarmallFanatic
      @FarmallFanatic  5 років тому

      The spacing between the magnet is pretty critical. Id look at a new distributor.

    I like the magnetos better. I used to crank start a C and Super C. if it was available we would park it on a hill. Points and electronic ignitions require battery voltage to get a spark.

      William Chambers 656D? That will have the American 282 engine. Guys let the glow plugs go on them and the reverted to ether. Very hard starting engines, but run like a dream. My question is what all does the tractor need?

    • @williamchambers7235
      @williamchambers7235 6 років тому

      Farmall Fanatic It's a gas engine. Hasn't run in a few years. Always parked inside. It also has a loader on it :(

    • @FarmallFanatic
      @FarmallFanatic  6 років тому +2

      William Chambers ok, check the gas tank. If he has left it empty, it will most likely be full of rust. So plan on redoing the tank. Thats gonna be the 263 engine. One of the best plowing/working tractors i ever had was a 656 gasser. I have a video of me speed plowing with a 656 gas. If the loader is an IH 2000, its worth about 2000 grand. The tractor itself you gotta find out why it hasnt ran.
