Seems like a lot of the problems you’re experiencing with the graphics in FSR is because the game is rendering at a lower resolution, so it’s drawing things at a lower LOD. The upscaling tech is working but it’s the underlying graphics engine that you’ve noticed! Nice one!
Even in Alan Wake 2, i had no problems getting the Vulkan mod to work. At 1440p Low with a small OC, i was able to get a locked 30 fps. With how good Alan Wake 2 looks at low settings, it was a pretty solid experience.
This gpu still kicks ass. Atnd can still play 1440 at most games and 4k at some. U showed that urself in your 1080 ti benchmark. Its a great card, and If you have a GameRock one, or a Strix one its even better. Its a keeper. Amazing video once again.
This game is sooooo CPU intensive. Puts my 5600X to its knees with 3060ti. But if it means a stutterless,high refresh rate and graphically good looking game i will take it. One of the best UE 5 title. Kudos to the devs

Wow still capable this card is. A friendly reminder is that it will turn 7 years in 2024 and its architecture 8 years. Meanwhile 7/8 yo cards in 2016 were basically useless in a modern games. Basically it lacks of tensor, rt cores and mesh shaders. But in raw perfomance it still can surprise many newer cards :)
As I say everytime on every ue5 video as a developer myself ue5 is not a bad engine, it's a really great engine for making high quality games with real good optimisation, it's just the developers being lazy and making games unoptimised, the finals is a great example of the optimisation that ue5 can reach

Yeah the game is really CPU intensive! I don't use lower end CPUs because then it could introduce a CPU bottleneck, which is bad for GPU tests. However, it should be interesting to check some CPUs in this one 👍
Just thought i'd drop this in here incase you're gonna make more videos on the game, the las vegas map, aka the map you played at 1440p high, is actually like 15% more intensive than the other maps from my experience atleast, which you identified very quickly ngl (its probably because its a new map they recently added, so they will probably optimise it even more in the future. Oh and also i've been playing the game just fine at around medium-low settings 1080p with fsr quality/balanced. Get around 50-60fps, and i really don't mind the aliasing, i noticed the image being softer, more than the edges being weird lol
Damn your cooling must be nuts. When I first played this game it ran my cpu hot over 75c. After the second time I played it my CPU stayed under 65c. Probably was compiling shaders or something

the 7800x3d has a tdp of 120 watts..... with a max draw of 165. Same with the 5800x3d. 130wtts power consumption is normal nowadays in the high end chips.
@@josejuanandrade4439that's the tdp... Real world my 5800X3D doesn't go above 80W when fully CPU limited on BF2042. And the 7800X3D is around the same, with more FPS of course. The X3D make them way more efficient than the non-X3D parts.

@@josejuanandrade4439 It's harder to cool because the X3D layer creates another barrier that the heat has to go through. But the spec are to be running at 90°C 24/7. And it will try to reach that temperature no matter the cooler. Like Zen 4, AMD is using all the thermal room available to increase clocks. It only thermal throttle after 95°C, but even them, it will only be a problem at 105°C. The way CPUs are made now is much different, we have to change the way we think of them compared to 10 years ago. They're way smarter on pushing their limits, that's way there's not as much reason to overclock, and are so mush faster to do the adjustments to keep it selves safe. About the increased power draw without using software monitoring to confirm... I think you understand how that sounds. But in any case, the 8 cores CPU is going to consume more power than the 6 cores CPU of the same architecture. Idk what you expect. The only exception it's in laptops where bining can ve involved. Edit: PSA, is you have an ASUS motherboard, I recommend adjust Curve Optimizer to at least -10. ASUS is really aggressive on the Vcore, when is not really needed for these of SKUs of CPUs.
I don’t know that much about UE5, but I guess because the game has set maps and areas, then they’re probably not using UE5’s procedural shaders. So there isn’t much stutter. Also I hope this comes to GeForce now cause it looks really fun

This game is awesome, both for gameplay and for technical side. I play at 1440p with a 4070 and I get so high fps that even FG is usable (bringing latency from about 3 to about 8 ms, so ectremely playable), and like that I have 220+ fps 99% of the time
The cpu 13600k is way to strong for this game it using only 20% while gpu usage is 100%, i bet you could even use a antic cpu like 2600k and the 1080ti would have same FPS :P
i hope those guys/devs make a battlefield game next and maybe a open world after that like cyberpunk/gta. I think we re still laking an open world magic world gameplay like 'Second son but more gta like.l
damn i have a similar setup with my 1080ti except the cpu and ram but surely a i7-8700k and 16gb of ddr4 at 3000mhz is good right? my frames are around 90-120 until destruction happens
for whatever reason my 1080 TI only gets me around 80-90 fps in low settings and I have a micro-stuttering issue that is driving me nuts. I'd almost rather play Overwatch.
@@snakezula what's your CPU? RAM frequency and primary timings? for context, I was getting micro stutters when I had unstable RAM overclock but fixed it by upping the DRAM voltage.

yes it is i get 180 to 240 fps with rtx 4070 and ryzen 5 7600 oc to 5,3ghz and cpu usage is a little higher than normal at 1080p

one of the best optimized games I've played for its time, not the least graphically considering its looks.
To be fair, they are mostly using flat surfaces in the game, with modest textures. This is much easier to render than dense foliage (for example).

1080 Ti + 5800x3d here. It does not look with FSR but I need the extra fps. :D Will buy some second hand 4070/Ti in Jan/Feb.
