15 Silverado that I put every single of its 64k miles on. I know all of the maintenance has been done well. Not the Tacoma I want, but it’s paid for. Hoping to get to 250k miles. Should be a 20 year truck.

I bought a 2002 Chevy Silverado 5.3 brand new in December of 2001, still have it nearly 20 years later - GREAT TRUCK!
My 2002 is a 4.8 rear wheel drive, I have just replaced all the brake lines (if you haven't you should) and had my rear seal and pan seal replaced. It's got 175k, but I hoping to get another 70k out of it. I have attacked the rust with POR15 and fluid film, seems to be working.

Like my uncle always said, buying a used vehicle is like acquiring a girlfriend, if you get a good one you got it made, if you get a bad one your stuck until you can find someone else to take it or her off your hands!

I always get the worn out ones that every bodies been through. Always a loose tail pipe and worn out master cylinders. U can’t put anything in to fix those holes.
I always notice ads that say "Runs great, just needs a battery". Ok, why not go buy a battery so you can prove it?

Because in reality it needs several thousand dollars in, oh most likely a new engine, transmission, or both...they use the oh it needs a battery excuse thinking some sucker will come along and buy the pile of shit for the ridiculous amount of money they are asking...and most likely the seller has screwed with it already so whatever is wrong double the problem and the cost to repair it...at that point its not even worth scrap price.

One of the best bonuses of getting old that no one talks about is how awesome these trucks still look to us and they are cheap now!
They do look good. High mileage still scares me. Use to be, you never looked for a car with over 50k miles. I'm looking for one that has under 150k. I'm not finding real good ones under 5k. South GA, at least where I am, is a rough place , to truck shop.
@@joelstolarski2244 yeah where you live affects the value big time... In the south they are WAY more expensive. Plus right now is just a crazy time in the used market, gotta fine a private seller! But FWIW, these trucks are famous for lasting 300k or more and you can get all the ac delco replacement parts at auto zone for cheap.
@@joelcrow It is crazy times. Took my car off market, knowing truck prices were pretty high. Then somebody asked about the car, I siad I was going to keep it. It sold. Feel burnt out from looking. Just today, eel like I hit the wall. Watched so many, buy this not that, that my head hurts.

I got a 2001 Chevy S10 with only 90k miles on it for only $700 couple months ago! It’s been great! No problems, drives 70 down the interstate no issue.

GMT 400 and GMT 800 used all day FTW. The 5.7 V8 is such a solid engine choice and the Vortec 4.8, 5.3, and 6.0 are solid engine choices as well. Hard to kill engines. Better trannys than most in that segment.... unless you're talking about a Yota but you'll pay more. For the value ....those Chevy trucks from like 90's to 2007 are SOLID.

I just bought a 2002 Chevy S-10 Crew Cab 4x4 with only 90k miles!! I bought it from an old couple that never drove it and it’s pretty much brand new and only for 5k!!! I don’t think I could of gotten a better deal then that. I’m very grateful.
Great trucks. Will last forever. But you should get used to changing fuel pumps…. I know a few people who had s-10s and they all changed them about once every two years or so…. Otherwise you can’t kill them:… hopefully it’s the 4.3
I'm watching this, sitting in my '07 Silverado that I bought at 125,000K for $6,700.00 with cash. It had a great maintenance history and runs like new. I did dump $1,500 into it changing EVERY fluid, all 4 new brakes, and fixing a few dumb little things. It's paid for, it's in great shape, and I'll keep it until the wheels fall off.
In May of ‘18 I paid $17k for a ‘10 Tacoma TRD Off Road (V6-6 speed manual) with 104k miles. Costs me nothing to run and is still worth about what I paid for it. I’ll keep it forever.

FYI when you see trucks like that red dodge 2500 diesel advertised by what looks to be a dealer for a super low price.......normally they are advertising a down payment. Get into this truck today for only this much now! Usual dealer shenanigans.

I causation people on buying vehicles that are at the bottom of their depreciation curve. Most "Cheap" cars or trucks have tons of differed maintenance. You can spend $2k, $3k or $4k on buying a truck and find you double that just to fix what's wrong with it. You might be tempted by something "cheap", but the risk/reward is terrible. If you're looking for dependability, then the focus shouldn't be on being as "cheap" as possible, it should be on finding a decent truck. If you can find something "cheap", then great, but find something that has records, get it inspected, make sure you're not having a POS dump on you by the previous guy. Also, I'm not the prideful type who thinks you should always pay cash. Even if you have to get a loan, or even pay more than you were planning, just pay it off. The focus should be on buying the best truck for the your budget, not the "cheap" truck.
Seriously, never mind major mechanical, wear and tear, and regular service items can really add up. Ball joints, bushings, shocks, tires, fluids, brakes, hoses, etc. That all often gets ignored in a deal because the thing "Runs Good", but then you end up paying for all that not long after. That literally can total out a truck. Even $5,000, that's not a lot of money in the truck world. People have to learn to not be cheap, because the cheap can get expensive really quick.

If you spend $3,000 on a vehicle and then immediately need to spend $3,000 more to have it fixed, or to do the equivalent work yourself, then you've might as well have spent $6,000, because that's actually what you have into it.

I like my 2004 Nissan Xterra XE 4WD and I like it enough to spend what it takes to get it in wilderness-reliable condition and keep it that way. Luckily for me, I'm miles ahead of the game, because I bought my well-sorted, records-kept example with five-speed manual transmission and factory option limited-slip rear diff for $3250.00.
I'll very likely be into it for double that by this time next year.
But I don't care, because Nissan isn't building first-gen Xterras anymore and never will again.
What I got for my money is a body-on-frame truck with a payload capacity of 1,200 pounds, a track width of 60", a turning radius of 17' in spite of a 104" wheelbase, a fresh set of five new Cooper AT-3's in a taller than stock 265/75 15 size, 10" of minimum ground clearance, 36 degree approach, 28 degree breakover, 26 degree departure angle, a crawl ratio of 45:1, a manual gearbox, a limited-slip rear diff that actually works, a dent, ding, and rust-free body with paint that's held up well over time, and an immaculate interior, along with a full service history in a binder.
In short, I got a vehicle that I don't have to mod the shit out of in order to run the trails that take me where I want to go. It can handle them in bone-stock form. Maybe not always as gracefully as my TJ did, but it can handle them, and I really don't care to run a trail in a four-wheel vehicle that really requires more than a first-gen Xterra brings to the trail-head. I don't have to spend a bunch of up front money on prior owner neglect because the prior owner didn't neglect it.
I got all of that for $3,250.00 in a one-owner vehicle precisely because the gen-one Xterra is at the bottom of its depreciation curve. The price difference between a clean, well-sorted gem like mine and a junker isn't that great in the grand scheme of things and almost never is when supply is high for something demand is low on and that something in question is at the bottom of its value curve.
There are so many 15 to 20 year old F-150's in my local market that I suspect I could find one with a 4.6 and 4WD with plenty of life left in it for under 5K, and because there are so many of them, there's bound to be a few that have been properly cared for and thus aren't automatic money pits.
Buying a used vehicle at the bottom of a model's depreciation curve is fundamentally the same as buying one that isn't. You have to wade through some junk to get to some gems, but they're generally there to be found.
@@jerroldshelton9367 It's not fundamentally the same because the risk/reward gets worse the further down the ladder you go. Simply, paying more for a vehicle that has records of proper maintenance means the vehicle is less likely to break and cost more money. You can gamble, get lucky and find something great, but that's not the intelligent thing to do because you're just gambling.
Just say this: Let's say you buy a car for $3,000, but the car comes without any records, and it's $2,000 less than the next cheapest car with up-to-date and thorough service history. Basically, it's 40% cheaper. Great, but on the way home, before anything else, the car's timing belt snaps on you and destroys the engine.
Too bad! The repair cost is at least another $3,000. You've just bought a totaled car for $3,000, because you wanted to be cheap and risk it. No matter what you spend from there, you'll never get a penny back. Even, if you throw another $3,000 to fix the car, the car will never be worth that much. For less money than you have in it, you could've bought the other car with records.
And don't think this an extreme example. It's not, it happen very often with cheap, used cars. People are cheap and want to save, and then they find the car is junk, or it needs more in repairs and service than they saved in their initial purchase.
I am a little late to the party but I picked up a 2000 Chevy Silverado 1500 regular cab 4x4 8 foot bed 5.3 liter v8 with 125,000 miles 3 years back for 5 grand and man let me tell u!! Solid as a rock bullet proof! I drive the damm thing everyday as a daily. I contemplated upgraded to a used tundra but man this old girl still has plenty of life left!!!!
I love my 2000 F150 XL 4.2 V6 5 speed , it’s a 2000 model bought in 03 and it’s still on the job , no issues.
It might seem counterintuitive because of how expensive it is to live there but Los Angeles is a great place to find older trucks. I moved from LA to Indiana and needed a work truck. It was shocking how much everyone in the Midwest was asking for rust buckets.
Yeah the climate in Southern California tends to help keep the trucks in better shape too which definitely helps.
There's also slightly less people in Indiana. So supply-and-demand you know😂
the best thing to do is stay away from dealers if you have the cash. Also ask them “Would you trust your wife, daughter, or son to take it on a 500 mile long trip”? This will usually trigger them to be a little emotional and answer more truthfully, but its not foolproof! Look for ones that are mechanically sound and may need light body work done. I just bought a 1994 f150 4x4 5.0 5 speed with 106k miles for 3k cuz it needed a door painted. It was in an accident, but I got it for a steal cuz if it were perfect itd be easily $5k plus!
Cash for clunkers is what has made old trucks so expensive and hard to find.
Now many people are wishing they would have kept those old vehicles because the garbage they're driving now is just that garbage.

High priced used trucks will send me into buying a new truck. 12k for a used Silverado with 250k miles vs 2020 F150 XLT 4wd with 2k miles never titled under warranty for 38k. For the better gas mileage, warranty and safety equipment the Ford is just a better deal. If you are just going to grab one for 5k do some work on the weekends then drop the 5k. I wouldn't go with the potential issues for something I'm going to use everyday or try to take on the road long distances. If you have to finance used interest rates will also be higher. Used prices need to come down for it to make any sense!
I paid 7 grand for my 04 Silverado with 100,000 miles and looks like brand new. Had one older owner. I lucked out.

Been used to driving new rams for the past 6 years.. (mopar guy). Got tired of payments along with gaining a work take home vehicle. Sold my 2019 ram 2500 and picked up a 2005 denali, fully loaded with premium wheels, 6.0l in near perfect shape, somewhat higher mileage at 190k but WOW. For an 05 it is plush, luxurious , powerful. Love my cheap truck denali lol
I’m a Farmers Insurance Agent and in Alabama we do insure rebuilt title vehicles, but there is a surcharge on them. Statistics show after a major repair, the next wreck will cause more damage and maybe previous damage wasn’t fixed correctly and then the next wreck when you have it cost the insurance company so much more. Also , the last time I looked at KBB they said rebuilt title cars go for 40% off right out the gate if it was perfect. I have had customers who said it looked nice, but problems started up with ownership and use. Thanks! Josh

Bought an old 05 Suburban Z71 4x4 for $2300 and the transmission was rebuilt before i purchased it. Trucks runs and drives great with well over 350K miles. Just bought an 07 Yukon 4x4 for $2600 with 230K miles and it also runs and drives great.
My mom's oldest brother frank Jones lived in Nashua,NH for over 35 year's. He would never buy used vehicles from New England states as he said the frames and wheel wells would be rusting out from the vehicles having been driven in snow for too many years. The chemical deicing compounds used up north would destroy frames on trucks and cars.
So he would travel down south and buy used vehicles from folks selling vehicles in Virginia,Carolinas or northeastern tennessee where he grew up.

The problem with the 4L Ford V6 is the timing chains, they on the back of the engine requiring removal to change the timing chain.
FYI, California will not let you register any diesel vehicle without DEF. That could be a clue why that red dodge was so cheap.
Beat me to it. There's also the price of diesel in California. They tax the hell out of diesel fuel and it's much higher in California than any other state I know of.

I saved 10k on a hail damaged SUV, you can’t even tell it’s damaged unless you get close up to the vehicle, shiny paint no rust nice 2nd hand family hauler, it has a rebuilt salvage title, I carry liability insurance only

I bought a fully rebuilt ‘89 K1500 regular cab long bed, 4x4, new white paint, new interior, factory dash and radio new seats, lifted with hankook dynapro ATM with aluminum alloy rims from the 90s in Loveland,Co $2,400. Totaled that in foco.
Now I have a ‘99 ext. Silverado LS for $2,000 Montana dealership paperwork and has the Montana dealership sticker on the truck rust free bought in Eaton on 85

I thought trucks were too expensive in 2018. I had a friend in the industry that was a fleet sales manager. He got me a great deal on the one I bought. No way I would have paid the sticker price, or anything close. Just started tire kicking new trucks this month...no way! The prices have skyrocketed. Buying a truck or saving for retirement have become alternative choices. New trucks are too expensive for the average American now. Something has to give. Taking out longer term loans is not a good option that makes sense, yet dealers will finance you for longer than the truck will be reliable...

In November of 2018 I purchased 2004 Chevy Tahoe Lt 4x4 from my brother in law for $6000 Canadian dollars certified (passed road safety) and he did a thousand dollars worth of new brakes on all four wheels.yes in southern Canada 🇨🇦 we have lots of road salt and liquid brine for our roads and I spent two grand on rust body work that didn’t look to bad on the outside sheet metal , but it was the inner sheet metal that gave way. Both front fenders replaced and painted,and both rear end fender at the door seam patched and painted.when I purchased it had only 132 thousand kilometres (about 85 thousand miles for you Americans) now it has 184 thousand kilometres. Now I have to change and get new wheel bearings on it.
Also look for the junkyard grease pen numbers.

I just wanted to make a correction Nathan. The 1st generation Colorado did not ever come with a 6 cylinder engine. It came with an inline 4 or 5 and in 2009 a 5.3L V8 was available.
Not true. I saw in person a factory v6 first gen Colorado. I didn't think they made them either but they did at the end.

Great video, love the channel. Be wary of any ad that doesnt show the interior or the dash with ignition on. There are people who will just take pics of vehicles on the street or parking lots, list them with a "battery is weak, just need it gone" or "was my husbands, he died, just want it out of my driveway" type description. They list it cheap, take deposits from as many people as possible, give a fake address for the buyer to come to the sale, and its a scam.

I was trying to find a good used truck for 2 months and I had no luck so I still look at new trucks and I decided on one that fits both me and my wife's needs that is a Honda Ridgeline and I know it's not a truck or a or a carbut it gets good gas miles and it does what I needed to do especially when gas prices skyrocketing and these bigger trucks will be priced down a lot once gas hits 450 a gallon or higher
Yes, and a lot of people will need to get out of monthly payments. Right now, 3/21, clean use trucks with low mileage are quite high in S FL area.
Drove a used Ridgeline, very nice ride, 5K tow. Owner just wanted too much $$$. I guess I got to keep on looking.

Never was a ford fan, but i got a 97 ranger 5spd 4wd v6 low milage did some repairs/upgrades I am slowly converting still think ford is owned by snap-on tool " but" I own it and my repairs are cheap and people are always impressed that I can work on that ifs front end!
I’ve been looking for the past three months for a reliable cheaper used truck. I live here in the south and you are going to be spending $10K to $15K for something reliable that you will not be wrenching on every weekend.

When you have to take out a mortgage for a truck, its time to re-think your shopping ideas LOL. Yep, I'll buy good used vehicles over anything new, way too expensive. You can find some really good vehicles if you are patient...most people who buy used and have nothing but problems are usually the ones that jump in the first vehicle they find for an awesome price....then they immediately have problems LOL.

Years ago I worked for an auto auction. A car lot would buy something at auction and put it on there lot. After 30 if it didn't sell, it was back to the auction it goes. They just rotated cars and trucks around and around.

So, in 2015, I picked up a used 2011 3.5l Ecoboost 2wd standard cab with 8ft bed with 140k on the clock with the HDPP, MaxTow, A/C, 3.73 Limited Slip, Cruise Control, Trailer brake controller (from MaxTow), manual trailer mirrors, and basically nothing else.
No power locks, no power windows, no power seats, no heated seats, no carpet, except for a 4ft Aluminum TommyLift.
I purchased it in California, sight unseen (I am that brave), while I was stationed in Guam for $10k. Today, there is no way that I would be able to sell it for more than $5k with 220k largely trouble-free miles. When I purchased it, it was suffering from bad spark plugs.
It did develop an exhaust leak this year, so I replaced the exhaust manifolds with a set of CR Performance manifolds ($2k with labor). I did flash a nice 93 octane tune in it. It will spin the wheels with ease and runs like a new truck still. It's still a beast! By far the best deal on a vehicle that I have ever had!
No, it's not for sale, because it runs like a damn race truck and I know that I can't get any good money for it. If someone offered me $10k, sure, I would think about it - but even at 220k - I couldn't replacing it with anything close for $10k and no one is going to offer more than $5k on a 10 year old truck with 220k miles.
Its funny some ppl hate ford eco boost but others say it has been an amazing truck. Im looking at a 17 f150 with 144k and i cant make up my mind

You guys should go through and buy an imported diesel land cruiser. Then upgrade it and wheel it. That would be a cool series.
I've owned 2 flood salvaged title vehicles & they've been great. I've owned them for years & years & not had any more problems/issues with them than my clear title vehicles.

Been driving, and buying Salvage title cars my whole life if it’s fixed properly it’s all good just ask for Photos if available when wrecked you can save a ton of money buying Rebuilt Title vehicles. Some states require Full documentation of how car was repaired
@@BillyJeans653 I've been looking at cars on Coparts.com. Some Toyotas and Hondas with hail damage are so cheap that I really couldn't lose on them. If it says "runs and drives" can I get my money back if it doesn't drive off their lot ? Hail hail Rock and Roll, my cheap Corolla doesn't want to go! I can deal with some hail damage.
All the trucks u mention here where I live in New England those trucks have been eaten by the rust gods long ago
This video reinforces my belief that my best option would be to go to CarMax or to get a mechanic to check any vehicle I would buy. Otherwise, I would miss something and it would end up expensive rather than inexpensive... But I do like to watch these videos and dream.
Carmax charges full retail for everything they have. You can get a better deal at a regular car dealer but you have to be willing to negotiate and put up with their usual bullshit.
@@williamwhite9767 Yes. That's sort of my issue. You get a lower price, but you can't be sure you are getting what you paid for. If you are good with cars and buy used cars often, then it's great to find a great deal. But that's not me.
@@nroose I recently looked at a Nissan Frontier Pro4X at the GMC dealer. It was a 2019, like new and only had 5k miles on it. They were asking about $33, 350 which is what Carmax would have had it priced at. They came down to $32,000. I left and a week or so later offered them $30,000 and they came down to $30,250. A couple months later they sold it for $29,555! Ha!
Excellent video guys! Real world advice & explaining the good the bad & the ugly of the used truck buying experience. Always do your research before hand and know what to look for. Rust is the main killer of all older vehicles.
I found a 2500HD and got it for 3500 only had 75,000 the motor was bad but gran total it was 5,700 for a heavy duty truck with low miles in the transmission and about 98,000 on the new motor
Got a Nissan 1985 720. It's only got 260K. Just broke in good ;) Developed a miss. Now I ripped off all but one vacuum hose when I put a Weber carb on it about 3 years ago. Suspect a lightning hose (plug wire). They are factory original. It's sad when you can't get but a quarter million miles out of them ;)

As I do my own repairs, I can not imagine buying a vehicle without crawling underneath checking suspension. Lift all 4 tires off ground check. Smell all fluids...

Yeah late model trucks are very pricey, but they are like caddies and make them really nice. Although they don't need to be that fancy, and have lost their original intent of utility vehicles

I Bought a salvage tiled 2011 F150 limited ( damage from a tree limb fall on the cab). Great Truck took 8 months to sell but eventually it did for my asking...( Shortages sold the vehicle)..
I have that exact truck in the thumbnail. 05 crew cab z71 chevy 1500. 355,000kms. Costed me a whole $2,000 and I can just beat on it
Why not look in like Texas or New Mexico for trucks that don’t have rust? I few miles of driving could save you 1000s in repair of rusted parts.

Vehicles in NM tend to be more expensive by 1-2k over the surrounding states. Az, Phoenix area is cheaper on average and has really good Craigslist’s.
There are other places to find solid old steel beyond just the southwest. Check out Georgia to North Carolina, the northwest, and Kansas, Colorado, and Southern Missouri. Basically get far away from the Great Lakes.

2003-2006 GM trucks and full size SUV’s are super solid bets. Very reliable according to reviews of those who have put 300k on them, especially those with the 5.3L Vortec V8

I'm 19, and last month I bought my first vehicle. A 2007 Honda Ridgeline that is, aside from normal where and tear, it's in excellent condition. Just under 160,000 miles at the time of purchase, and given the Honda 3.5 liter is generally reliable, that's not bad at all. It's the perfect vehicle for me right now, better gas mileage than the 96 chevy 1500 that me and my Dad called mine. Plus it seats 5 with great speakers, so it's great for hanging with friends. The best part though is that it was an answered prayer. For two and a half months before I drove it away from the dealers, I was praying for the thing. Gen 1 body style, check. Very nice quality, check. And I saved 1,800 to 2k from market value for a ridgeline in that king of condition. Poverty and lack are not a blessing. Ask and you shall receive.

I had a 1998 Chevy ZR2....std cab 5 speed....Rare combination.....Pretty decent condition....Listed it on CL and FB Marketplace for $5600....Yes a lot but, it was California Truck until 2018 when I moved to PNW....No road salt ever! Clean Car Fax....Mileage was 174K....High but, impeccable maintenance....Well finally got my $5K price...Amazed at the amount of "Clowns" calling and trying to offer $3K on a perfect pristine truck where everything was excellent condition...Had done fuel pump....new brake system....35K on a new clutch....I'm not going to sell a "Good Truck" for "Hooptie" prices...There's other trucks out there besides "Tacos" that are good reliable vehicles.

Prices of used trucks are a bit discouraging. Even 2014 4x4 Tundra's are still over $30k which almost makes me rule out used for new. Hoping the next gen release brings prices down as I think it is the safest used truck to buy for what we need.
Tundras don't cost 30k, and Silverados/Sierras are far better trucks.

I bought a car here in denver and found out the seller has 30 days to obtain a salvage title. Well...this guy sold me (pretty nice) Accord. Title was clean (didn't say salvage) but...when I got a title w my name on it, sure enough - salvage.
Speaking of inexpensive truck. I heard Ford's "Maverick" pickup has been rolling off the assembly line in Mexico on a consistent basis. Not sure if they are production builds or media test truck. But multiple sources are predicting a sub 20k base price.
They're also front wheel drive and based on the Ford Focus platform if I recall. Kind of a new version of a Ford Ranchero.
Always craw under a truck with a flashlight and look at everything from bumper to bumper , they may wash the top of a engine and all to make look nice but never the bottom ,

I like to buy fully loaded ram 2500 Cummins with 100k miles on it. Bought a 2011 now has 325k miles @ $40k now I’m looking at 2018 loaded Cummins around $47k trade in value is around $17k according to NADA

When buying or selling a used truck, undercarriage pics should be mandatory. Rockers, frame, floor. Everyone has a picture/video capable smart phone these days, and still they are almost never provided. If requested, the pics are usually terrible. My solution, is weed trucks out by zooming on the trailer hitch. Light surface rust inside receiver is fine. Advanced scaling around the receiver usually tells you all you need to know.
At 5k your buying a project. May of last year covid time I picked up a 2015 slt sierra 4x4 z71 crew 5.3 for 19k. 110k miles. Navigation and bose heated leather std box onyx black beauty. Ive done a paint correction and buff. Changed all fluids and have run her to 118k so far problem free. Truck stickerd for 52k new. Yes I purchased it from a dealership.
That is exactly what you're doing, I'm glad I did. Mine was a quarter of the market price, carfaxed it found out it was a corporate vehicle first, then a fleet vehicle. Maintenance ppfftt couldn't here it running so got a muffler delete, the duals sounds great, going for headers and close box cia next . Then I'm going to bullet proof it lol

@@henryford2736 No. That's not accurate at all. I've lived here my whole life. Rusty cars are not common here.
1. We don't salt the roads here. We use Brine and Mag Chloride. Our Brine is Sand and Salt mixed. Many states use " Salt Brine " which CO does not. You can Google this for more info.
2. Deicing chemicals on their own do not cause rust and corrosion. These chemicals mixed with warmer, humid environments causes major rust and corrosion.In the rust belt most of the rust and corrosion occurs in Summer due to warmer temps and humidity. Denver has one of the lowest daily humidity of any large city in the US. As I type this it's 65 degrees here in Denver with 13% humidity and Dew Point of 13 degrees.
I have an 05 Malibu with 275k miles with zero rust. I don't under coat it. Sits outside. My 98 Tahoe has very minor rust as does my 05 Tahoe. I've never, in 30 years, seen a car with body rot that was from here. Plenty of cars from the 70s 80s and 90s still on the road here with no rust. It's hard for rust to form in a high desert.

get a titan they got 5.6l engines and just destroy any uphill mountains you need to get thru. I use mine to haul.

You're still getting a lot of echo despite the foam panels. Depending on your editing, you might have an option for "background sound removal" which will help. Great channel though.

People today are out of their minds with used trucks...people are asking $10k and up for trucks with 200,000+ miles on them. New trucks are junk...Chevy's DOD/AFM set up is a joke (I'm a Chevy guy and i hate the DOD/AFM system). We have several newer Silverado and F-150's in our companies fleet of over 45 trucks. We had so many issues with the DOD/AFM system that we spent a lot of money on the DOD/AFM Delete kits. Two of our 2020 F-150's had electrical issues causing the dash to shut off and one of the other F-150's had clicking noise going on in the truck when it was parked, whatever it was would kill the battery in a day, also the heat would stay on even when the A/C was turned on...that truck went back to the dealer and we got a different truck. A 2021 F-150 had a series of warning lights go off which put the truck in a reduced engine power mode less that 100 miles after getting the truck. $40-$60k for a new truck and the overall build quality is terrible, just my opinion. I'm sure their are many people out there who are loving their new trucks. We just have so many trucks that we see a lot of bad things.
There is a guy in my neighborhood who is selling a rusty old dodge 70's truck for 10K! Back in 1990 you could have bought that same truck for $500.
