First of all the world population is roughly 8 billion people. Only 31.6% of those believe in Jesus Christ. That is only 2.5 billion. So 5.5 billion people don't believe in your god. One of the kindest sweetest girls I ever met was an atheist. I was raised in a very sheltered and religious family. Being friends with her in high school changed my whole outlook on life. It was so funny I went to the royal tyrrell museum, and they showed the evolution of a horses hoof, they had the bones there. And I actually laughed out loud because of how idiotic it was, I a 12 year old girl (at the time) could tell you exactly what other animal that was from, I forget what it was today, that was a long time ago but it was so stupid. None of the evolution they taught there made sense. I was watching a documentary, it said a lizard was chased into the sea, it swam for so long it slowly began to grow fins, and it’s offspring could breathe underwater, and before you know it this tiny lizard is the biggest predator there. Now that sounds stupid, if a lizard today falls in water, and swims for too long, it won’t develop fins, it will drown And there is so much evidence disproving evolution and so much proving creation, the thing is, they hide it, they hide it so well in the maze of social media, and they keep it away from us, but it’s there, if you look for it you can find it, I have. Namely, the idea that you're alive, and would like to keep it that way. Things like "thou shalt not murder" don't need a heavenly source. They're self-evident. I would like to live, and I can reason that others would also like to live, therefore we shouldn't k1ll each other. If we do, there are earthly consequences. In fact, if the only consequences were heavenly, there would arguably be much more violations of that morality, since there are seemingly endless supplies of people who believe their "god" tells them to get rid of the ones who don't accept them.

First of all the world population is roughly 8 billion people. Only 31.6% of those believe in Jesus Christ. That is only 2.5 billion. So 5.5 billion people don't believe in your god. Humans are a social animal that depended upon small groups to survive. Our morals came from that. Our ancestors would not have survived if we didn't have moral instincts. No god needed! He does not exist in the exact same way unicorns do not exist.

It was so funny I went to the royal tyrrell museum, and they showed the evolution of a horses hoof, they had the bones there. I was watching a documentary, it said a lizard was chased into the sea, it swam for so long it slowly began to grow fins, and it’s offspring could breathe underwater, and before you know it this tiny lizard is the biggest predator there. Namely, the idea that you're alive, and would like to keep it that way. Things like "thou shalt not murder" don't need a heavenly source. They're self-evident. I would like to live, and I can reason that others would also like to live, therefore we shouldn't k1ll each other. If we do, there are earthly consequences. In fact, if the only consequences were heavenly, there would arguably be much more violations of that morality, since there are seemingly endless supplies of people who believe their "god" tells them to get rid of the ones who don't accept them.

Natural selection is what spurs evolution to happen in nature (climate, ecosystem, predators, interspecies competition, genetic success within a given environment) and artificial selection is when humans artificially select for specific traits in animals in order to achieve a preferred outcome. Both lead to evolution in species.
This goes directly contrary to Steve's implied notion that monkeys shouldn't still exist if humans evolved from them (which is still wrong). The idea is that humans and modern great apes have a shared common ancestor....not that humans directly evolved from chimps or something. Imagine no social norms were ever taught, a blank slate... then I'm sure many would go around killing for one reason or the next. I’ve never been religious, even as a kid I wasn’t really buying it, it made no sense. I have the same values and morality as anyone else, it’s common sense.

The Ten Commandments, while historically significant, do not represent the apex of moral thought. We can develop more sophisticated and contextually relevant ethical frameworks that better address the complexities of modern life. Moral relevance can and should be derived from our ongoing discourse about human well-being, suffering, and the flourishing of sentient beings.

People know the difference between goodness and bad without believing in God.
That comes from God, the air we breathe is the breath of God so we know right but often choose wrong, hence we need his forgiveness through Jesus to reconcile.

Morals is derived from instinct and upbringing. Killing another human is wrong and most people morally accept that however, killing in self defense is morally acceptable by most standards which comes from a survival instinct. Believing in God doesn't automatically give you morals.
Without God morality is just opinions
If God doesn’t exist, there is no objective morality. Meaning nothing is Truly good or Truly evil. Morality would be subjective to us. Good and Evil is just what we make it. This would be true if we came from monkeys.
But Objective morality only exists with God. Because, Objective morality has to transcend all humans. With God, there are things which are Truly good. And things which are Truly evil.
So, if there is a God (which seems very likely) then a lot of humans right now are actually doing true evil in the name of good.
