  • Three nighter backpacking trip in the Pisgah National Forest. We hiked from the Ivestor Gap Trail, Art Loeb Trail, Mountain to Sea Trail, Little Sam Knob Trail, and Sam Knob Trail back to the car. We hiked 18 miles over the course of the trip.
Shot at 24fps on a Panasonic G7, GoPro Hero6 and DJI Mavic Pro.

Stunning photography. I sit here tearing up wishing I could go back there. My grandparents had a cabin on the fringes of Pisgah near the Mitchell golf course. What a place.

You did an amazing job on this video. This video: 1) Makes me want to hit Pisgah Nat. Forest 2) Renewed my interest in OMD (gonna see this in Cincy in Sept!). The shot that blew my mind was the drone flying along the river during "Isotype". You have mad editing skills that I could never do! Keep it up!!!

Thanks! You can easily hike this route in less time. A one nighter is prob more common. We had a long weekend so we decided to enjoy it and hiked really short days.

@@Luke-zq9qq Awesome to hear and thank you! Sounds like you are set up but just in case you want more info, prior to our hike I came across UA-cam Channel "Zachary Robbins" and his video - "Ivestor Gap Trail, Art Loeb Trail, and Sam Knob - Pisgah National Forest, NC". We hiked his route in that video. At the 17:04 mark of his video he has a ton of great information including map, elevation and even a flyover of the route. Enjoy it!

Hey Julian. Prior to our hike I came across UA-cam Channel "Zachary Robbins" and his video - "Ivestor Gap Trail, Art Loeb Trail, and Sam Knob - Pisgah National Forest, NC". He did a great job covering the hike and is the reason we decided on this route. At the 17:04 mark of his video he has a ton of great information including map, elevation and even a flyover of the route. I really should thank him for the intel on this one; if you ever see this, Zachary Robbins, thank you!
