❤😍☝🏻👍🏻
The prawn noodles are a Malaysian Chinese original dish and have no influence from Thai food. It's an original dish invented in Malaysia, just like the Asam Laksa noodle dish!😂👌
True...
Btw, both Georgetown and Kuala Lumpur are huge cities. In terms of size in km square, they are both bigger than Manila City.
Hi Guys, welcome to Malaysia. Have fun visiting and eating our local foods. But please do leave a location for all the nice foods...
Thank you, tbh we mostly found things by walking around 😊😂
Thank guy
Thank you 😊
We absolutely loved Penang when we visited a few weeks back! There was so much to George Town, were definitely looking at booking another trip up there soon! The food is to die for! 🤤 Great vid guys! ❤️
Thank you so much 🫶🏼😊 glad you got to visit for yourselves 🤩 yes the food is so yum 😋😍
Yessss! One of our faves was claypot chicken rice! If you haven't already, go for that and get a runny egg on top 🤤
Most of the buildings you see are old Chinese Oriental designs. They are some of the oldest Chinese designs in Asia. Therefore, its looks different from classic English. The old English buildings are the Queen Victoria's tower, the Anglican church, Town and City Halls etc. Malaysia has both the oldest Anglican (Penang) and Catholic Churches (Malacca) in Southeast Asia
the spoon of black sauce/fish sauce is actually PRAWN PASTE
Ahhhh thank you, we thought it was soy 😊

Mix the prawn paste into the soup.
Prawn mee or hokkien mee is sweet. Not too spicy.
"Coconut surrounding ..." 01:32? 😇No mate! It's not coconut trees but the areca-nut palm, known as pokok pinang in Malay, symbolises the tree from which Penang got its name. The tree can be found on Penang flag. 03:09 it's call Hokkien Mee, the 'mee' is not 'meh' but pronounced as 'mie' as in 'me'. Mee is a Chinese word for egg-noodle. The best way to travel in Penang is on a bike, you could rent one with a very reasonable price. Enjoy your travel. Penang is my hometown. Greetings from UK.
Oh really? Thank you for this! We did not know 🫶🏼

The stall you guys went with skewered food, it’s known locally as Lok Lok. You basically pick the food on stick and cook in the boiling pot of water/broth. There are various sauces to apply.
FYI-The first stick you guys pick, that’s blood cockles, which normally eaten after a quick boiled (hence the recommendation to just dip in the boiling water for 5secs). You can buy from markets or supermarkets but the cleaning of the cockles could be quite a hassle (overnight soaking, 1-2 hrs of cleaning etc). Another popular dish is chow kuey thiow (fried kuey thiow) whereby blood cockles are added. Blood cockles are rich in iron, but they are notoriously reported to cause Hepatitis A due to contamination of the cockle productions. But no worries, just eat in moderation. Enjoy!!
Its actually the opposite. Char Kuey Teow and Penang Prawn mee are older than most Thai food. They inspired food like Tom Yum and Pad Thai, not the other way round. 🙂
White folks thought the other way.
Penang white curry noodles too
@@imjuzsayin..5017 seldom see it but I have eaten before
Swatow lane ice kacang is my favourite in Penang,It,s pretty yummy!😋😋
Was delicious 😋
Njice
Those are called spring rolls. The filling is actually grated turnips. They taste better dipped in chilly sauce.
Yes so yummy 😋
🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽😍😍😍
Thank you 😊
Nice 👍👍👍👍
beautifuk town
👍👍😊
So testy food ❤❤❤
😋
nice town
👍👍👍👍👍👍
there's 2 types of hokkien mee, this is prawn soup version but there is a dry stir fried one with dark soy sauce and crunchy lard
Oooo both sound so yummy 😋
Please come to Kuching, Sarawak..
Will add it to the list 😊🙏🏼
Ok Penang Hokkien Mee has yellow wheat noodles and rice vermicelli noodles. The wheat noodles don’t have egg. It’s yellow from sodium bicarbonate making it alkaline like ramen. Might have some yellow coloring too. Broth is shrimp, pork, shallot, both fresh and dried chilies.
Assam laksa is fish and tamarind broth with lemongrass and laksa leaf/Rau ram.
Bloody clams are cockles.
Other foods not to miss are nonya food, nonya kuih/confectionaries, nasi kandar, char koay teow
😋😋😋❤
😋😍
The white noodles is vermicelli .enjoy guys.
Thank you 😊
I think it’s bee hoon, coz vermicelli will break easily
TESTY
Should try World Longest Waterslide while at Penang... Welcome to Malaysia...
