- We are back in Malaysia! Follow our journey of a British Filipino couple exploring Kuala Lumpur Malaysia for the first time in 2023. We had the best day exploring Kuala Lumpur. We visited the FAMOUS PETRONAS TOWERS, and even managed to go up to the viewing deck this time. We then watched the Petronas towers light up from our rooftop pool 🤩 Of course when in Malaysia you have to try some of the mouth watering food so today we tried Roti Canai for the first time 😋 Zoe’s Dad used to live in Malaysia so after hearing lots of stories we loved seeing it for ourselves. Our first impression of Kuala Lumpur surprised us, we didn't expect such a clean vibrant city filled with beauty, its like an urban jungle. We have so much planned in Malaysia so make sure to watch out for everything we get up to over the next few weeks🙏🏽

Yes, roti canai is one of d best comfort food in Malaysia, n for around RM 1.50 per piece, it's also one of d cheapest meal in this country.

You guys should make friends with the locals and they will bring you to the best makan places!!
In Malaysia, you can customise the food, e.g. for roti canai, you can just ask for dhal dipping sauce if you don’t want the hot spice. FYI, one way Malaysian has eaten roti canai in the past is with sugar as well (not as popular nowadays). U can either dip roti with sugar, or curry then sugar.
And roti canai has been served as staple (with curry, meat, fish), as snack (with ghee, made into roti tissue) and as dessert (with banana). It’s ubiquitous
We had loads of lovely people on TikTok and Instagram suggesting lots of things for us to do & eat 🙏🏼 yes going to try so many foods thank you for the suggestion we will look out for it 👀😋 but yes roti canai who’s definitely a favourite we’ve had it loads more since this video hehehehe
@@ZoeCzar Tip: Ask for ‘Kurang Manis’ when ordering whatever drinks including the Teh Tarik in your vid, if you want less sweet. Lol.
I’ll normally go for ‘Tak mau gula’ i.e No Sugar BUT some stall can accommodate and many can’t, and the compromise is ‘Kurang Manis’

the flavour of eggy mix with dhal curry gravy with spicy sauce ( sambal ) was boom and then. when you feel spicy , drank the teh tarik. straight to heaven

Mixed the dhall and curry .....fantastic.....I usually do that mixed sauce and flooded on just plain roti canai....taste from heaven
