Sir I am also trying to become an animator and seeing ur progress inspires me soooo much that it gives me strength to improve my art and my animation skills more and more . So please keep inspiring us....
Thank you for the tutorial! I'm currently learning how to computer animate but for now I'm stuck with FlipAClip. However, these are so informative, when I'm ready to finally officially change over to computer, I'm sure it'll be a smooth transition! Thank you!
Thanks, this tutorial really saved me. I love animation, but I was starting to give up! But you come in and give me this flabbergasting (amazing) tutorial.
i tried using this animation software last 2018 but i was too damn confused on what to do especially since info or teachings of it were minimal at the time, now this year i finally understood what the heck is going on plus i can't wait to open my opentoonz to finally use it properly. Thank YOU SM!! qwq
I told myself to buy a drawing tablet i thought "hey animating on a new software may be better than flipaclip!" I downloaded 2 pieces of software and I couldn't figure out how to use them so this helped me thank you
that helped a lot! I'm trying to start animate for years now, and even if i could do simple stuff i never quit got how to do stuff. now i feel like opentoonz is so intuitive and easy, thanks to you!
yay i came on time !!! i really love ur vids u actually inspired and helped me make my channel (cuz i didn't know what opentoonz was before finding ur channel)
Thank you so much! This was so helpful, I just downoaded Open toonz, and have been wanting to use it for a while, but it looked really daunting and difficult. I tried watching some videos ( accidentlly was watching 1.3) and now I feel so much better and am making so much progress. Thank you again :)
i spend a full hour trying to click and drag the audio and failing, then i watched the video and notice that i had to converted the audio you saved me thx
An extremely useful video, really like how you presented the information. It was clear and concise but still came across as warm :) Will definitely be trying out this software myself now!
This was extremely helpful !!!! THANK YOU !!!! I'm actually looking forward to try it !!! I've just downloaded it and when I opened it I kiiinda dreaded the process of figuring it out !!! But now I'm motivated and know how to start !!! Thanks again !!
Please do more videos like this!! I’ve been searching and you to me by far are the clearest and most comprehensive follow along type videos I like…. Question: I saw on another one of your videos you sketch in raster and do final animation in vector layer but you had a hard time adding color on vector layer. So do you not use vector layer for final animation anymore? How do you save animations to use in multiple videos? Thank you so much for your tutorials! 🙏🏾 I can’t afford the paid ones at the moment. Trying to start my own channel with short cartoons. This really helps
I have question tho, coming from iPad I am finally taking my digital art to pro level are there any drawing tablets you’d recommend that work well with this software ?
Thanks for the awesome tutorial! I love making music and wanted to add some animation to it with my drawing tablet. I tried using Krita, but it didn't work well with the audio. Opentoonz is awesome!
Hey Sebastian thank u for all ur tutorials they have helped me improve my art and understanding opentoonz. You truly are a blessing. With that being said can u do more tutorials on camera work for opentoonz.
Thank you so much! I just started trying out this program and I was so confused at first, but this really helped!! Very thorough and well-explained. I do have a question, is there a way to edit audio in the program, or is it better to make sure the audio is as you want it in its final form when applying it to the scene?
Thanks for the really nice and informative video. I'm just starting in this and now my biggest problems are getting used to use the graphic tablet and my potato pc :(
Thanks. My fire alpaca broke and won't draw anymore so I tried open toons heard that Mary and the witches flow was made on it (a freaking awesome movie) and got it.
Hey, first of all: Thank you so much for this tutorial its a real lifesaver! But I don't understand what you mean starting at 10:05 with reframing it later and putting it on twos. I'm a complete beginner so maybe I'll figure it out (then I'll come back and delete the question) but so far I haven't and thought maybe I'm lucky and you still check the comments here
May be a silly question, but I can't seem to see the rest of the tools on the left. I'm on a laptop. It seems to cut off everything from the bottom . Thank you!
So I’m having an issue, I don’t know if it’s my pen, laptop, or what, but this circle thing keeps appearing instead of making lines, also if I draw a line, it will delay for so long until I’m about a centimeter away from where I began, anyone know how to fix this? Oh I almost forgot, if I accidentally delete one single thing, for example the frames, how do I get it back?
Thanks for this video. If I didn’t want to redraw an entire new drawing for every frame, for example If I drew a person but only wanted to animate their hand waving, how can I copy and paste a frame and erase and redraw the part that I want to move, without it changing all the previous frames in the timeline. Or would I have to create the stationary drawing in one layer and then create the animated part in a new layer?

hey when i copy something in a roaster level than resize it or change its rotation it loses its resolution
is it possible to remove that
There is a button on the tool option bar of the select tool that says no antialiasing. Check that box and you should be good 👍

I don't think you can I use audacity to edit audio so use audacity for editing audio and then import it to opentoonz

Help, I did what you said but for some reason, the canvas popped out. I freaked out and I crossed off everything and don't know how to get it back.
Do cleaner lines on the cartoon just depend whether you do small simple lines connecting or full straight lines?
Can u change the fps for 1 frame and then change the fps differently on another frame?
Thank you so much!
Did you ever consider to use pencil grease in blender?
This is very helpful, but I have a question. Is it possible to toggle layer opacity?
Thanks for this video. If I didn’t want to redraw an entire new drawing for every frame, for example If I drew a person but only wanted to animate their hand waving, how can I copy and paste a frame and erase and redraw the part that I want to move, without it changing all the previous frames in the timeline.
