  • hi everyone!
    it's grace here with another review-this time, for baby carriers :) baby wearing has been a must for us, now that we've got a second kiddo (let's be real, it was a must for our first, too). but having a busy toddler (and a big, ol' floopy dog) really requires free hands so we have been trying to find the best carrier for us.
    there are SO. MANY. CARRIERS... too many for my wallet to handle 😅 so here are a handful we've invested in (or were gifted). and we hope the carrier hunt goes well for you and your little!
    cheers,
    the armfarks

    I have the konny and didn’t like it either. Love my baby bjorn too. I also just got the Boba x which is my new favourite

    thank you for this review!! I have the moby wrap but I feel like my five month old keeps sliding down and gets super uncomfortable for me to carry him around. i’m thinking about getting the lalabu or maybe the konny!

      I’ve found more success wearing the ring sling once our little was slightly larger though I know it works from newborn stages too! Hope you’re able to try it out :)

      Yes, my baby just grew out of her baby k'tan wrap carrier so I'm shopping for a new one. The sling carrier for your hip looks awesome! I feel like she would be more comfortable! Thanks for the video! It was veryyy helpful!

    I like the Konny because you don't to do much, you just have to make sure you're wearing correctly it has to pass your shoulders

      Oh I’m so glad you like the konny :) there’s a special place in my heart for it, being a Korean brand 😅

    This is super helpful! In pregnancy I thought I'd use my long wrap (like the Moby) the most because it's the most flexible and can be tied on anyone. Bbbuuut I overlooked the fact that if I wanted to wear my daughter out in public, the long ends would be on the ground as I tied it on. So definite downside. Plus my baby has sensitivity to these jersey polyester fabrics, she breaks out in a little rash if they stay in contact with her bare skin for too long so the konny being breathable in this summer heat and easy to put onin public made the biggest difference! Plus you can do forward facing in it, it comes in the instructions in the box but I haven't tried it yet. I love how you touchdd on so many different types of carriers though! 😊

      Oh I’m so glad it was helpful! It’s so wild how babies react to different materials and everyone has their preference :) glad there are so many options out there to try

    I get very confused about forward facing and proper baby positioning. So when babies are forward facing, the whole M shape thing with hips and legs and booty being low doesn't matter anymore? Asking genuinely!

    • @TheArmfarkLife
      @TheArmfarkLife  Рік тому

      You know I don’t explicitly know, but in my quick researches, I’ve found that forward facing babies can have a natural “fall” on the legs. I think when the babies are chest facing, the curve of the person carrying the baby has an unnatural hang for the babies if not “cradled” but we don’t run into that issue with forward facing! Im just a mom so that’s my guess without any factual or scientific basis! 😅😅

    Solly? Are they not good with partnerships?

    • @TheArmfarkLife
      @TheArmfarkLife  Рік тому

      Hi! I’m not entirely sure what you mean. But! Solly and Moby are similar from my knowledge (both being wraps) and switching between myself and my partner is really simple because there are no adjustments to “set”. Hope that helps!

    This is a great review video, bravo!
    However, there are a couple of safety issues that I wanted to highlight.
    Moby wrap - thinking now is that baby’s feet should be outside the wrap whatever age, as have them inside can put pressure on their joints.
    Lalabu - I’ve not used or seen one of these, BUT, your baby is far far too low on your chest. Baby should be close enough to kiss so that they are out of the soft tissue of your boobs where there is potential for them to become smothered. It will also be more comfortable for you as baby grows as this will really start to pull you forwards and hurt your back.
    Personally, wouldn’t recommend this babybjorn model, it’s not ergonomic and all of baby’s weight goes through you shoulders. Unless it’s a gift save your money and buy a different buckle carrier
    I love love love that you are getting people to babywear, it’s a game changer!

      @@TheArmfarkLife you’re welcome.
      I don’t think I could narrow it down to one, I’m like a kid in a candy shop with slings! Love a ring sling for summer. I also love my Lenny Lamb hybrid or a UK brand called Mamaruga, they make a Zensling and a Zebulo which are super comfy!

      @@tmobz Perhaps one day I will need to look at getting more baby carriers! I'll keep these in mind :)
