- We all know the ka24de does not make the best sounding exhaust note with an aftermarket exhaust. After comparing the different exhaust notes on my 300zx z32 project car I was shocked with how it actually sounded. Tim decides to lower his G35 even more than before. Smokes continue to TIG weld the Cage Kits Cage in the 240sx s13.

In the southern states it gets pretty loud with the cicadas.
In Alabama you can barely hear anything else right now, in fact there's so many their starting to get trapped in buildings and houses 😭

The Greddy sounds great, but I prefer no exhaust because it sounds like it's got ITBs. And ohhh boy, do I love ITBs!

We have them making an absolute racket every year in NZ, it’s the sound of our summer. Heck, the town I live in is the Māori word for cicada.
Hey Mike, I'm from Australia and we also have cicadas here as well. I have vivid memories from when I was young and visiting my grandmother as there used to be a section of trees in her yard that the cicadas would frequently rest on at the end of the day and the noise they would make would be deafening. As for the exhaust sounds clips my favorite would have to be the Greddy one, followed by the no exhaust clip, then the aftermarket one. With the aftermarket one it did start to sound a little bit raspy at higher rpms compared to the Greddy. Also, I did notice in the clips of you driving the Z that it sounded like that "Ticking" noise you had a while ago is back. I only really heard it when you were slowing down for the red light, but maybe you might want to go the the footage for yourself. Anyway man, loved the video. Keep doing what you doing!

Classic prizzamike! These are the best vids, working on cars in the driveway with friends. Greddy sounds good, I personally like the sound of the aftermarket exhaust, I like to hear the intake over the exhaust, but I'm old school, I grew up in the 90s, that was the sound everyone was going for then. Can't wait to see the next one🤘

I am the same way like you Mike. I always want to have my two cars out and about haha. I understand Logan and Smokes not wanting to drive the Gloria, they feel way more scared driving that than an actual rental car. At the end of the day though I love watching my friends drive my cars and enjoy them as I do. 66 Ford Galaxie 500 LTD and a 72 F250 Ranger, the cruiser and the smoke truck haha.
The KA24de is a shit motor !!! FACTS 💯. I went through 5 of them in my s14 & a few more in other vehicles. Put a real motor in it fkn plz for fucks sake. LS,JZ or something I mean damn. No matter what exhaust you put on that this it's always just gona sound like shyt sorry but true

Personally I’d run the aftermarket exhaust as is, maybe lengthen the tips. It’ll get louder as it wears in. It’d be a shame to cut up the GReddy, sell it to a fellow 2+0 owner.

Greddy sounds great but imo I wouldn't wanna chop up that nice exhaust, save the greddy for another Z, just my two cents. Honestly the aftermarket fits so well as is and it sounds great ✌✌

i think the exhaust on there might even sound a little worse than stock, the rasp is a bit more noticable. sounds much better from the inside. obviously greddy takes the cake tho

I really think the blocked off part of the x pipe is acting like the extra helmholtz resonators you see on some zokusha mufflers over seas to give it a different tone than you expected.

2:50 2nd gen F-body, with looks like ladder bars and adjustable shock mounts. I'm betting he has to cut the axle tube ends down, for C-clip eliminators that are pressed on the new axles. Prob doing rear disc drag brakes also.

As an old guy still "emotionally ill" from that 80's and 90's import "Bumble Bee" exhaust sound, I LOVE both the current and the Greddy.
You have to swap the aftermarket exhaust in place of the Greedy some how / at some point for SURE..!! Aftermarket doesn't sound bad though..!! Loving how that spoiler kit and bumper looks on the Z. It seals the Z together. Alls you need is a fresh coat of paint, or wrap..!! My opinion, wrapping the Z yourself would make for a great Video.

Just chop it off right behind the muffler, flip the hangers around and weld it onto the aftermarket pipe!
Also, curious, if youd go the full true dual exhaust route… would that be 1, 3 into a collector and 2, 4 into a second collector? Maybe something to test out!

I'm a touch biased and like quieter stuff in my old age, but if it were me I'd sell the Greddy exhaust and keep the one you have, make the y pipe for the front and weld on some longer tips. I'd hate to cut up a $1000 (at the time) greddy exhaust. I think it sounds good like it is too, I think the y pipe will maybe make it a touch quieter too, you cant remove the cat up there though can you?
In California we barely ever hear cicadas but when ii visit family in Mississippi its like a normal background noise. not my favorite but not horrible.
