Honestly i think the junkyard videos are some of my fav and idk why, it's sad but also kinda cool to keep some of the cars alive in spirit through using their parts
I love the junkyard runs, or wreckers as we call them here in Australia 😂 You guys are so lucky with the quality car selection you have in the self serve yards. Jdm classics like these very rarely make it to our self serve wrecking yards these days. People sell them for crazy figures, of wreck them and sell the parts for crazy money 😂🙃 Keep killing it dude, absolutely hooked on your channel since I discovered it a couple of weeks back!! They have been really helpful for one of my builds (Datsun 120y or b210 for you guys) I'm putting a ka24det in it, and the ka aren't so common here and we only got them in Nissan Navara's from 99-02. But SR'S & CA'S are so expensive here now and has been done so much so I decided to go with the ka for something different and I hear they are stronger and lighter than the sr! Love the skate clips to 🤘
At 4:19, that appears to be a 1978? Ford Pinto Wagon, neat little wagon for sure. Also that Lincoln at the 23:00 mark, the trunk line was meant to mimic the older body styles in the 50s and 60s iirc where the spare tire was mounted externally on the rear bumper and covered with a paint matched plastic/fiberglass cover.
I enjoy these junkyard trip videos and also the last video which you explain how you would go about wiring a KA24 from a 240SX into a 300ZX car (it was the first time I've seen anyone did a good explanation about this that was simple to comprehend). Thanks for the educational entertainment!!
Its really interesting to see a typical American breakers yard. My local ones in the uk are usually organised by brand of vehicles but most of them are the same sort of vehicles usually spotted at scrap but you do find some gems but theyre usually long gone or a shell
22:20 320 cdi is one of the best engines mercedes has ever made, bullet proof and really easy to make power on those. Really common here in finland, very "rare" in america to see one tuned atleast
4:00 As a person whose family has had multiple Mazda 626s, this just makes me so sad... Its in absolute mint condition, no rust or anything, that is so rare. And that blue interior???!! So beautiful. What an absolute waste of a great car. And i think those are very rare there in the states, considering that they are already pretty rare here, in europe. Most of them go to waste because of rust. If there is any way possible, then someone needs to save it from beeing scrapped. Its just in too great of shape to be scrapped.
Hey Mike! So the "weird thing" you mentioned on the Neon about the windows, was pretty common in Europe, or at least that's what I remember. Power windows on all four doors was mostly an extra, and you had to pay for it if you wanted it. Most people actually didn't care, because on most cases no one was going to sit back there anyways.
The one thing that used to really annoy me was the condition that others would leave vehicles in when stripping them in the yards. I used to leave everything in good order or even try to save the vehicles from further damage. I don't understand the mentality of other yard users that will ruin an item because they don't need it and prevent others that do need it from getting it.
They should allow us to go in and save those that are worth saving and not let them be destroyed or ruined by erosion and such, as well as save those cars that are worth saving from being sent to the crusher, some deserve another chance in life by fixing some of those parts that are broken and damage, maybe I watch too many Custom car shows, but that's me
I’ve owned a Mini and I know he barely glanced at the speedometer @3:26 and he called it a clock but it made me chuckle, love these junkyard videos keep up the great work
They always said the dodge neon windows were manual in the back because they only role down a quarter of the way anyway do to the child safety things. Plus obviously it was a way for dodge to save money on wiring. We currently have a 02 neon sxt 5 speed like that. It's at 281,000 miles right now and still getting us every where we need to go🤞. Its the highest milage ive personally seen on a vehicle myself. Another great junkyard video man👍
I have a Mercedes E320 wagon myself - 22:05 :D It is waay rustier (rust holes everywhere) but runs very nicely, used only on winter track And 22:36 front electric window regulator, rear crank is the same thing as my daily driver which is Audi A4 B7 Avant
That Lincoln that you saw there with the big doors is the equivalent of the Lexus SC300 cannot be more true that is a 1993 to 1996 Lincoln Mark 8, they are beautiful cars and dream to own They Ride nice and have a lot of power the motor that was in these cars would later be put into the mustang cobras! They are RWD on airbags and usually get converted to coil springs when the airbag system fails likely why that cards in that yard but apart from that they were very solid and reliable, I drove mine 250,000 miles from 60k miles, sold it to a collector and am looking for another, a shame that one ended up there probably over something minor, mine was the same color!
If you ever want to get into American luxury boats/ muscle, the 1993-1998 Lincoln MKVIII is the way to go, they are excellent cars and come with 280hp from the factory, 4 speed autos that you can manual swap with a trans from a mustang, plus 22+mpg on the high way, they are efficient V8's
Hands down fav content, even watched the sponsored section and i always skip those, just shows how much effort mike puts into making actually entertaining content ♥️🫡
I'd love to find an S13 in that shape to strip out and use some parts like the KA wheels and front suspension in my 1980 Datsun 510 seeing as those parts are a direct swap into my car
That's actually smart that the Fiero's headlights move with the hood, I'm assuming its so if anything did go wrong and the hood was off by a little it wouldn't clip the headlight and bend the hood.
Bro i literally love all ur videos ur so humble and seem like a real cool dude. I like how u explain things very thourghly! Hope one day i run into u!😮
My first car was a 240. Third car was an 84 300zx. God i miss the 300zx. Nothing better than the feeling on the rear end dropping down when you put it in drive. My 240 looked almost new however it never ran unfortunately. I bought it as a teen from a guy who had the motor rebuilt before going on a road trip. It died about 50 miles into the trip. I spent so much time making it look good sitting in it listening to the tunes but with a single mom no male influence and knowing nothing about cars at the time it just sat there looking "pretty". I wish i could have just got it running good once to see how it drove.
@05:31, bro long as mounting tabs are good. that dash looks mint, surprisingly. even the damn defrost vent isnt peeling up and all baconned. bro, that dash is a keeper for sure!!!!
About the Neon power windows... in the early 2000's here in brazil it was common to have front power windows and rear crank windows, some said it was for safety concerns, regarding small children to have a hard time trying to open it, so it was safer, I dunno... Being a 90's children, I remember they sucked to open at that time xD
I have a Mini Cooper S and love it. Surprised the blue car was junked for so little damage. The S is a four cylinder turbo and it will fly. That was not a clock. That is speedometer.
I've never been so offended by a "leaving my tools in a car no one is going to look at" lmaoooo. Mazda 3s are fun in the backroads and unsuspecting af, especially the 2.5l cars and the speed3s
When I was in the Army 10 years ago, there was a Z32 shell way out on white sands missile range in New Mexico. I was big into those cars then so it was bizarre to see one out there. It was in the middle of nowhere
Looking at how that car is rusting from the bottom up, it either sat outside during winters, or it was flooded, which is the reason im mostly inclined to believe looking at how new the oil looks, probably someone tried to mess with it
That white Lincoln Mark VIII's trunklid is shaped like that to mimic how the older Marks had a spare tire located there. Kind of a theme throughout the series.
oh btw if its abs its probably a hicas rear with a rare diff cover that holds more fluid and cools better. Id definitely grab that motor set from it, ka trans sell decent and the drivetrain is probably the second to last savalable part left.

Ford Pinto wagon i think the blue interior car was
Ford Pinto wagon i think that blue interior car is
Honestly i think the junkyard videos are some of my fav and idk why, it's sad but also kinda cool to keep some of the cars alive in spirit through using their parts
its like watching someone go on a easter egg hunt but for for people who like cars.
X2
It reminds me of my youth. Uncle had a salvage yard. Crush days were some of my favorite. Now its kinda sad to see cars end up in places like this.

i know why you like them
The fact the interior light came on inside the mini cooper sitting in the junkyard is crazy
how that 240 was still able to stand on its wheels without caving in on itself amazes me
Literally what I was thinking
Non rusty roof perhaps 😂
For real, I'm honestly questioning how the rear subframe didn't fall out 😅
@@PrizzaMike by the looks of the powersteering reservoir that is a hicas car they have LSD diff!
@@kenpartytix it is indeed a hicas car! Peep the rear subframe shot!

Yes, definitely a pinto wagon..unsure of the year. You're probably right on that as well
i thought it was a vega wagon at first
Yes, 77-78 Pinto
Could also be a Mercury Bobcat wagon. Essentially the same car just rebadged.
It’s crazy to think people are still finding abandoned or stock 240’s like this, you’d think they would all be found by now!
Right!
I live in the country of a small town and we have a lot of 240sx still bone stock driving around and a seen a few sitting in yards or fields
i love Junkyard Videos

Same with Australia (though tbf most of the cars we got were basically the same as EU models), wasn't *common* by any means but I've seen a fair few.
Feel like it was a common thing in EU on 80's-90's cars, read somewhere that some base models in USA had much better options than base models in EU
Can confirm Europe has this on quite recent cars even, we have an '08 Golf and that has power upfront and crank in the rear. Such a weird thing.
Even high end cars. I have a well equipped 325 TDS E36 that still has crank windows in the rear
