in addition to what nokbeen said, willem also has another "main" channel based around photography, and this is a newer channel as well, so it takes time to build up content to be released over time
5:57 RedLine MT90 is your answer man. It is everything that MTL is, but with slightly more viscosity. Which should quite things down a bit, all while providing better protection through higher MOFT (Minimum Oil Film Thickness). Win-Win in my book.
Been stuck at home sick this weekend, discovered your channel yesterday, and now I’m done watching all 29 of your videos (don’t judge me). Everything is super chill, easy to follow through and captivating even though I’m not a Volvo guy. Gave me M539 Restorations vibes, but with Volvos instead of BMWs. And I’m saying that as a huge compliment! Keep up the fabulous work!
I literally just finished watching the Miata video and saw this thumbnail at the endscreen and thought like "Huh? I really don't recognize this thumbnail, I must've just forgot" and then I click and see "8 minutes ago" LETS GOOOO
My birthday was on the 20th and when I got home a package was waiting. I opened it up and it was mud flaps. For my Volvo S60 2002 base. Volvo gave me mud flaps for my birthday, how nice of them
just wanna say, your channel is the biggest inspiration to fixed my 2006 v70 2.4 thats been sitting on my driveway for 3 years, its up and running now cause of your channel thanks broskie
Man i love this generation of Volvo's so much! I love them so much that now i have a 2001 XC70 2.4T with a manual swap, a 2003 S60 D5 auto, a 2005 S60 D5 manual, a 2007 V70 D5 auto AWD and a dismantled 2001 S80 T6 (i only bought the S80 for the engine :)
Fantastic driving footage at the end! I like that your new channel has sponsors already. You made a great commercial running your head up through the roof sitting on that thing. lol
When i noticed the seats during the first few minutes of the video i thought this car would be more enjoyable with some bucket racing seats. Not the hard core seats but ones that have adjustability and comfort. Great to watch a new video from you!
Honestly, every shot captured is always perfection. Videography, content, knowledge and last but not least Volvo, is the reason this is my favorite car youtuber.
I'm finally starting on my 05 SR and I'm so glad I found this channel! Definitely gives me more confidence than I had seeing all the things I plan on doing all in one spot.
My 2001 sedan base model is a cash pit, i've been fixing a lot of issues in only 1 year of ownership but man i love this car. It has the premium glance and smooth design. Yours looks gorgeous and i think all the non volvo guys would agree
I flirted with a V70XC and few months ago and subbed to your channel…sold it shortly after and returned to VWs….but my sub remains . What I admire about you is your work ethic but also you’re completely fearless…I’m much older than you (smaller garage and colder weather too) but lots of jobs you take on are ones I’d feel we’re beyond my skills. Good content, well done.
I'm glad you went back to the OEM wheels. The BBS wheels looked nice but never really gelled with the understated look of the car overall for me. Looking forward to your next build!
Man I miss working on mine, such an easy car to work on too. Go for a SNABB intake, never deal with broken plastic again. I also found that firming everything up actually made the car feel much smoother, almost ZERO vibration into the steering wheel. The V70 platform is a sleeper, it handles surprisingly well, shockingly so when you get really sticky tires (personally I ran Nitto Invo's) and get the car tightened up and proper suspension, if you want even more fun grab some Carbotech XP8 or XP10 pads or AX6 if you want something a bit friendlier, you WILL need to learn how to brake again.
i got an 2001 2.3 T5 S60 , R bumper on there, billstein suspension , brembo perforated discs and pads , new exhaust . just need to get me some do88 intake and pipes , and an intercooler, and a tune to make it a beast .
You are one of my favorite car youtubers. I live in Sweden, and volvo is also Swedish. It makes me happy seeing a Swedish car in America. I actually owned a Volvo v70 2.4. But it had massive electric and engine problems, i fixed most of the prroblems but i crashed it last year. But i am thinking of getting another v70 since i like it.
This is maybe my favourite series in youtube. I have a 1996 850 T5 and im planning to manual swap it just like you. You've been a huge motivation to me.
Love the handsome panel lines, understated sleeper look of this V70R, awesome car. Interior design/layout is perfect… I think I need a Volvo R in my driveway.
7:36 Rather than grease, get copper anti-seize for the brake pads and put it on ALL the surfaces where something moves or has contact (obviously not the work surfaces). Unlike grease, it's not affected by heat/cold cycles and lasts a long time + bonus, once it picks up a layer of dust, it stops, whereas grease, will continuously catch dust and crud and make a mess of things, even seize the pads in motion in some cases. Depending on how hot you get it, grease will also "liquefy" and just drip out of where you've placed it.
The thing you said about the gearbox noice after the single mass flywheel conversion is very common, my 2.5T 2005 s60 have a single mass standard so a very rare thing my car has no problems so should be something like balancing that’s wrong but just an inconvenience. Nice build and good to see you back 😁
Idk ab the p2 series, but for p80 cars, ipd sells an upgraded silicone intake pipe. My stock one was leaking on my 850r and upgrading to the bigger silicone one was one of the first things I did. It was pricey but worth it.
Glad you're back on the wagon. As for the Miata... It's always the answer! Keep putting out the great content. Looking forward to the Benz ( I hope it's a Benz).
Funny watching your bag fly back and forth in the back seat! Try tilting the steering wheel lower and hands at 10 and 2, looks like you're driving a school bus! 😉
I'm a big Volvo fan here in the UK, what you're doing is what I'd love to do. I've owned a previous generation modified V70 T5 and an earlier 850R wagon, they're fantastic cars and quite underrated. Well done in what you're doing, I wish at your age I had your confidence to do what you do . I follow with interest 😊😊
Love the Volvo series! Next video Ricardo interior refit and exhaust/tune? 👀 You might get lucky with seats from the scrap yard! Also would love to see some California road trip videos in the Volvo 👌🏻
Bub you need a couple Lil square gym mats to throw down on your garage floor when you are crawling around or kneeling, they are a game changer! Ask me how I know
I know exactly what you bought. I just came back from one of those and it will be the most fun you will have in a vehicle for the price. Super reliable, sounds great, very fast, tons of aftermarket support. I can't wait to see that series.
Great video as usual. You need to find someone with a 2015 or 2016 V60 T6 R-Design with Polstar tune or an actual V60 Polstar to let you drive through the mountains with some time. You might be surprised at how well the newer wagons handle too.
I just picked up a basic 07 S40 2.4i and its nothing special but I love it and enjoy watching your videos, makes me really want to put some time into mine and make it better.
After doing some research on Swedespeed, i learned that the lightened flywheel itself isnt chattering, but that it introduces chatter into the gears which can be reduced with a heavier than stock trans fluid.
love these kind of videos so satisfying to watch! Watched this video then went back and watched each individual video! have alwasy loved these cars and the wagons have grown on me!
This is such a rad build! Very unique in terms of car content on UA-cam. Your videos are produced very well. Good cinematic with vlog style talking points. Great work. Keep it up!!
Great video. Volvo have been part of the European Touring Car Championship for many years and the 850R was based on the same concept as yours. they are also proven winners without outsourcing their race division. The Polestar came later with the C30 - s2000 and was fitted with the ST 2.5 5 pot engine, it makes the same great noise and power in a much smaller frame......maybe the next project car? Keep up the cool vibe and great content.
Let's gooooo i waited so long for that series to come back !!
FINALLY !!!
Definetly my favourite car youtuber wish you uploaded more
Quality > quantity
in addition to what nokbeen said, willem also has another "main" channel based around photography, and this is a newer channel as well, so it takes time to build up content to be released over time
So you're gonna tell me you're just gonna ignore the headlight washers?
YOOOOOOOOOO VOLVOS BACK IN ORDER BABYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
Dude you’re back, fiiiinnnally
Nice update! The car deserves the original headlight washing nozzles and proper clean seats!
Loved watching the series on This build!
5:57 RedLine MT90 is your answer man. It is everything that MTL is, but with slightly more viscosity. Which should quite things down a bit, all while providing better protection through higher MOFT (Minimum Oil Film Thickness). Win-Win in my book.
Thank you!
Will that affect the drivetrain loss by much?
@@butters2160a very negligible amount.

I appreciate it
same!
he remembered his password again!!!!!!!!
What a treat! So good to see another Volvo video man, nice!
just wanna say, your channel is the biggest inspiration to fixed my 2006 v70 2.4 thats been sitting on my driveway for 3 years, its up and running now cause of your channel thanks broskie
Love to see someone caring for these cars, they’re truely boxes of joy.
The long weekend bag sliding around in the back seats as you hit the corners lol.
M56? Or M66 on the XC70??
@@Mr.Smack710 m56 (the 5 speed manual)
Got a S40 D5 myself, and I absolutely adore it. The engine just has an incredible feel to it
@@PhatKnoob hell yeah, i kinda forgot that the 2nd gen S40 had 5 cylinders in them
Everything about this video is right - the cuts, the music, voice-over, and, of course, the car.
i really wanna see an engine bay glow up, that blue would absolutely pop with a wipe down for sure!!
Fantastic driving footage at the end! I like that your new channel has sponsors already. You made a great commercial running your head up through the roof sitting on that thing. lol

Boy oh boy fantastic work and fantastic car...loving all you're clips...from me in Scotland UK ❤
And from another V70 owner from Scotland! 👍
The bar over the engine isn’t a strut brace. It’s actually a motor mount that controls the side to side movement of the engine. Awesome work as usual!
Bro casually comes and makes THE best p2 Turbo content in history!
Mr. WheelemVerb you give me inspiration to keep building my s60r🙏
I'm finally starting on my 05 SR and I'm so glad I found this channel! Definitely gives me more confidence than I had seeing all the things I plan on doing all in one spot.

So happy to see you back!! And the Pegasus wheels too😍
So glad you spent the time to bring this work of beauty back to life. What a hidden gem these things are. Great work!
i've got nfs-need for sweede
btw v70 looks insane in gray

You've properly transformed this car, It's been special seeing this V70 restored to glory. props to you bro you deserve this car :)
Fantastic! One bulb above your rear license plate is not working. You’re welcome, lol!
ooooh yeah. Finally another video on the R. Awesome videography btw, looks professionally shot that have perfect lighting and are smooth
Finish the interior with a retrim of the seats for added slickness. Congrats for the R, looking sharp!
Love hearing the 5 cylinder roar in the canyons. Always nice to iron out the little annoyances with the cars
I will never get tired of that 5-cylinder sound.
That 5 cylinder will forever be one of the best sounds to be emitted from an exhaust pipe! 🔥🔥
I'm glad you went back to the OEM wheels. The BBS wheels looked nice but never really gelled with the understated look of the car overall for me. Looking forward to your next build!
Bbs wheels whas also OEM
You just took the price of the car to the roof. Amazing work. It's one of my favorite cars. I grew up in the older one.

so glad there is another instalment to this series i absolutely love this car dude
This car has reached perfection at last. Good God, it's so beautiful.
We SPACEBALLIN' hard on this one!
Didn't know there were more to go with the V70R, and goddamn those shots look good!

3:04 crv table is awesome
You did the right thing by reinstalling the R wheels !
I say the same about mine every time the road gets twisty! So so good.
Missed this dude. Thanks for sharing the Volvo love.
This is maybe my favourite series in youtube. I have a 1996 850 T5 and im planning to manual swap it just like you. You've been a huge motivation to me.

Just randomly found this channel, i'm not even into cars at all, but man these videos are great and satisying to watch
Never seen that method to get the lower ball joint to pop off! Nice ahahah

This series has been SO good! I really want to do similar work on my V50. Keep it up! Always anxious for your new posts.
Glad to see you back! Heads up: Try not to get into the habit of using your hand as a hammer.
I’m so glad that the R bumper is back on the car!!!

Its going to become more challenging on finding things to improve now!
Glad you're back on the wagon. As for the Miata... It's always the answer! Keep putting out the great content. Looking forward to the Benz ( I hope it's a Benz).

Hello from France (V70R owner), thanks for the new video.
I am very pleased you decided to return to the stock R 5-star wheels.
Fcp should sponsor. Giving me inspiration to continue working on my 2000 S70 SE.
Best car ever build. fast, practical, and looks good. you should bring it to the nurburg ring for a testdrive.
Great video as usual. You need to find someone with a 2015 or 2016 V60 T6 R-Design with Polstar tune or an actual V60 Polstar to let you drive through the mountains with some time. You might be surprised at how well the newer wagons handle too.
Awesome wagon! Can’t wait to learn more about the tune from Alex. Hope I get to do all this kind of stuff to my R eventually.
Music in this video is just amazing
It’s about time!! Yes!!! Need a Dyno and power rating video lol
Change the orange bulb for a silver one. Makes such a difference. Oh and replace the headlight wipers.
The long awaited follow up on UA-cam's favourite V70R!
Got my first car recently and your series has encouraged me to learn to do some work on it myself!
You should also redo the seats. The headlight wipers are a period correct touch that should also be installed.
I just picked up a basic 07 S40 2.4i and its nothing special but I love it and enjoy watching your videos, makes me really want to put some time into mine and make it better.
Yeah! You're back with the V70R!
Beautiful wagon and nice looking roads you are driving!
Get those sponsors rolling up, what a great way to see more content like this. Great work, keep it up!
This car has affirmed that I'm eventually going to get silver big brakes for my silver car. They just look so good
