    Transcript:
    Welcome to the installation video for MagVent’s MV-90. Before proceeding, verify that your current duct path turns 90 degrees behind your dryer. If your current duct path is straight, and aligned with your dryer exhaust port, see the installation video for MagVent’s MV-180.
    1-To begin, simply unplug your dryer, and remove any existing transition duct if necessary.
    2-Measure the dryer port center from the flush side of the dryer, and up from the floor. Then transfer these measurements onto the wall.
    3-Hold the mounting bracket to the wall on the center mark with the open part of the bracket running in the direction of the intended vent path. Then mark the screw hole locations on the wall.
    4-Holding the bracket in position, drive the included mounting screws through the bracket hole, and into the wall anchors. If on a wooden surface, simply drive the screws directly into the wood.
    5-Squeeze the bracket slightly, and fit the MV-90 onto the bracket until retaining tabs are engaged in the anchor slots located on the sides of the unit.
    6-With the MV-90 in place, you can measure for the remainder of your duct system. Remove the MV-90 by squeezing the bracket to disengage the retaining tabs, and reattach if it eases your installation. Note the clean look, and low profile of the MV-90 wall-side installation.
    7-Securely attach the Dryer-Side Union to the dryer exhaust port using the supplied hose clamp, and extend hose with a slight tug.
    8-Plug the dryer in, and push into position, allowing MagVent’s powerful magnets to self-align and complete the duct connection.
    9-A quick visual inspection to verify proper seal, and you’re done!
    Congratulations! You've just installed a minimum path vent, and your dryer is safer, and more efficient.

    I ordered one of these via Amazon as I live in U.K. There is nothing like this here. I put my tumble dryer inside a built in cupboard unit, next to my front loading washing machine, so my laundry area looks really good but the vent for my tumble dryer is on an external wall to the left side. There was no easy way to connect the vent at the rear of the tumble dryer (apart from using the awful plastic hose that came with the machine) because it’s unreachable due to the built in cupboard having a Silestone counter top so this magnetic vent is a genius way to connect the rear vent to the wall vent handsfree. I can check it’s aligned correctly using a selfie stick and my smartphone to reach to the back of the tumble dryer and record a video to check all’s good👍🏼
    This is the best dryer vent design ever! You should sell them in U.K.

    Hi, I haven't installed mine yet, but I do have a question about the dryer side magnet with the flexible tubing. Is this the style of tubing that looks like metallic foil but is actually plastic that they show can catch fire with gas dryers? I'm liking this kit a lot so far and can't wait to install it. I have an electric dryer however that would probably shut off it got too hot, and do plan to keep the lint cleaned out once a year, but was just wondering.

      MagVent couplings are made with DryerFlex from In-O-Vate products, www.dryerflex.com. It is sturdy, non-flammable, UL 2158A approved aluminum hose that is lined with steel wire and resists crushing. When combined with the MagVent coupling, it compresses down in an accordion-like fashion and, with proper installation, is never crushed when the dryer is pushed into place. MagVent couplings increase your home's fire safety and energy efficiency. They also make disconnecting and reconnecting your dryer for regular cleaning simple and easy!

    My dryer likes to shake. The installer recommended I don’t go with a mag vent cause he said when the dryer shakes while running the connection will slide. Is he full of it?

    • @customerservice9263
      @customerservice9263 3 роки тому

      The connection will not slide due to the dryer shaking. The magnets are very strong and their is a lip on the dryer side union that engages the body of the unit.

    is it harmfull for the washing machine circuits and metalic parts ??

    • @Mystical.Wonders82301
      @Mystical.Wonders82301 8 років тому +2

      My husband said the circuits are too far away to cause any issues mechanically. The use of a magnetic fitting increases dryer efficiency and thus lowers electrical usage and cost. The other fittings leak heat out and increase cost by slowing drying time.

    Magtag dryer with low back vent but the other vent is not in the wall but floor. Will the 90 degree kit work and avoid the "loop" ?

    • @magvent-dryervent1485
      @magvent-dryervent1485 6 років тому +1

      The MagVent MV-90 is designed for when the vent path takes a 90 degree turn, such as through the floor, off to the side, or up through the ceiling. The tail end can be installed in whatever direction or angle necessary to make the shortest and most direct vent path.

    Couple of problems, soft foil is not to be used on any dryer, voids warranty. Second does the coupling, magnet , dead centre with wall part? If not it will shorten life of dryer, does manufacturer of venting system take over warranty if dryer fails? I wish builders would not throw laundry products where they fit and actually plan

    • @magvent-dryervent1485
      @magvent-dryervent1485 6 років тому +3

      MagVent couplings will not void the dryer's warranty. MagVents are not made of soft foil duct. They are made of UL 2158A approved DryerFlex from In-O-Vate products, www.dryerflex.com. It is sturdy, aluminum hose that is lined with steel wire and resists crushing.
      Clothes dryer manufacturers allow 4 inch flexible metal hose as long as it is UL listed and accessible for cleaning. MagVents are made of sturdy, steel lined, aluminum ribbon hose that is UL approved and resists crushing. And since MagVent couplings make it simple and easy to disconnect and reconnect your dryer for regular cleaning, they will not void the dryer's warranty.
      MagVent couplings will not shorten the life of your dryer. They actually increase your dryer's energy efficiency. The strong 4 inch ring magnets connect properly and fully maintain the recommended 4 inch vent path.

      Now that you are making things up your credibility is gone. Having just reviewed 8 installation instructions from several manufacturers not one mentioned foil venting of any type is to be used or approved for use. All clearly stated rigid or semi rigid venting and not to use foil. Having repaired hundreds of dryers and reviewing installation instructions with customers I know what is allowed and not allowed. If flex rigid is substituted for foil then it is acceptable. Please review installation instructions

    • @magvent-dryervent1485
      @magvent-dryervent1485 6 років тому +4

      Mr. Denhollander, you don't seem to understand that MagVent couplings are not made of soft foil hose. They are made of Dryer Flex which is flexible metal hose composed of aluminum ribbon and steel wire.
      I do appreciate all the opportunities you have given me to explain to my potential customers about the advantages of MagVent dryer vent couplings. MagVent couplings are a new and revolutionary venting system, unlike and superior to traditional venting systems. MagVent couplings help eliminate the typical and dangerous soft foil hose, while facilitating the use of more rigid metal pipe throughout the entirety of the vent path.

    • @rondenhollander4313
      @rondenhollander4313 6 років тому

      I do fully understand, the part that attached to the dryer and coupling is the issue. Again, please supply documents from manufacturer saying the soft flexible foil part is allowed. Only two types of venting is approved, rigid metal, as you show from connector to wall and a flex rigid. Nothing else is approved by any manufacturer. Change to flex rigid then it is permitted. Maybe if you have seen as many failed products due to improper installation (from those who dont follow manufacturer instructions). We are going in circles and until the soft foil at dryer is eliminated I stand by what manufacturers dictate.

      Christ All Mighty Ronny boy, you don't have a clue what DryerFLEX is. Just because a manual doesn't mention DryerFLEX doesn't mean it can't be used or will void a warranty if used. New stuff comes along all the time and manufacturers aren't chomping at the bit to update manuals to include every viable part. They print once and forget. Jeez Ronny, join the 21st century and get yourself up to date.
