I have never welded before so may I ask what the difference is between each of the three techniques? And are there some circumstances where one technique woule be better used than the others?
I've just started college for welding. I really see no use for it other than practice. He's not even welding two peaces of metal together. This is something a beginner would do because its much more forgiving so he can start to practice manipulating the rod.
You want to do the top otherwise gravity will fuck you. But this is a bad example cause it's just on angle iron but if that was a but joint. You give a bit more to the top

O que bien te digo hago algo hace 22 años soy soldador de todos los proceso y estoy calificado por la AWS en 6G, en tig mig and stick, y les aseguró que soldar cómodamente como está soldando el es muy fácil y en un taller mejor aún, lo bueno es estar guindado de un arnet y soldar con una mano sin apoyo en un cordón vertical con restriccione y rellenar 1/2 pulgada de separación….. para todo el Que sabe soldar estructura sabe de que habló, todo el mundo da su consejo y pibe su video, pero nadie dice que en el taller es una cosa y sobre una estructura es otra, haaaa y con el inspector detrás de ty para ver lo que estás haciendo

Dalam teknik pengelasan dasar memiliki 3 teknik. 1.teknik pertama menarik elektroda pola yang akan dilas dengan pelan. 2.teknik ke dua mengunakan pola zik-zag untuk hasil ya maksimal. 3.teknik ke tiga merupakan teknik yang cukup sulit karena memgunakan pola lingkaran yang harus membutuhkan kefokusan dan ketelitian. Saat mengelas juha harus di perhatikan dan di cocokan elektroda dan saat mengelas jangan sampai memutuskan pola las itu akan menyulitkan proses pengelasan.selalu biasakan K3!😁
Hey guy, that would never have passed any welding test that I did when I served my apprenticeship, overhead fillet, 3 runs, 1root, 2nd on the vertical plate and half on root, 3rd run fill in on the direct overhead plate and the root, far superior finish and penetration.
@@CousinJesse1 Well for one thing, that’s not actually “overhead” welding! What he welds here is commonly referred to as horizontal overhead. True overhead would be two plates with a bevel on each plate, and the bevels butted together. The actual weld is deposited as if you were welding a bead in the middle of your ceiling! If he welded in the middle of bottom of those angles, that would have been overhead. He’s very good, don’t get me wrong, and I’m sure he can run true overhead, it’s just incorrectly titled!
@@tomt9543 it is definitely overhead welding by every inspection organization on the planet. Just because it’s not an overhead butt weld doesn’t mean it’s not overhead. His fillet weld leg length is off though, and he has a bit too much crowning, but it’s still pretty good.
@@aidanlamborne I’ve just dealt with AWS for decades, nobody else, and every CWI I’ve ever had dealings with called this “Horizontal Overhead”, not “Overhead”.

Different for butt welds, and different for fillets. That’s why the standard is there. It hasn’t changed, and won’t change on aws d1.1 or any standardization you can mention. It is what it is my man. No such thing as overhead horizontal 😂🤦🏼♂️. It’s 2F or 4F. Or 2G or 4G. That’s why we have these distinctions. Stop making shit up man.

@@ricardorosasmaya5208 en esa posicion si es soldadura 6013 o sea delgada para herrero lo más bajo q puedas tu mismo tienes q hir regulando el voltage según te acomodes y casi arrastrando el electrodo y con 7018 el mismo procedimiento la diferencia entre estás soldaduras es que la 7018 es con generador plantas Infra u otras marcas y la 6013 con transformadores sensillos para herrero nota si usas 7018 te recomiendo la de un octavo y hasta 3 16 entre más delgada mejor suerte 👋
You need to maintain close to a 45* angle and correct speed to prevent undercutting either top or bottom edge of basemetal.Takes a lot of practice to develop those skills with consistency.9010 lo-hi for overhead was for me the hardest to control,as its high nickel content in the molten state made it more influenced by gravity.Good demo on the various puddle patterns.
@@kundantiwari6086 its due to not keeping a tight arc and moving a bit to quickly which means that that theres not enough filler being deposited into the keyhole. So to avoid undercut you need to watch the weld pool and make sure the keyhole is getting enough filler to fill it. Once you get use to watching the weld pool as you're moving you will see what I mean. If your arc is tight you can feel the tip of the rod pushing throughbthe steel you'll be able to get the right speed and you won't get molten metal burning hole in the top of your boot. If you short arc you gonna move to fast because the bulk of your weld will be raining down onto you and your boots on its way to the floor. Hope thats helpful.
Полупотолочные швы лучше всего варить в 3 захода.... 1- без колебательных движений даём корень шва, отбиваем шлак. 2- варим по этому шву сверху таким же способом но жуть ниже середины, шлак не отбиваем .3 варим выше середины, отбиваем шлак и готово , и ни одна капля таким способом не капнет за шиворот . Называется многослойный- многопроходных шов.
Чтобы добиться нужного катета нужно не только уметь держать держак в руках а помнить некоторые правила .... диаметр электрода должен максимально соответствовать толщине металла а не варить тройкой электродом металл 4-5 мм. Ток 40 ампер на 1 мм металла (приблизительно) . Длинна дуги , угол подачи электрода , скорость итд.....
Это правельно почти, если ты в работе как компьютер можешь определить легированность стали и к какой котегории она пренадлежит, а если нет то будешь варить по спецификации плана, а если дома вари как тебе заблагорасудиться!
