Brilliant with the explanation of multi cam editing with multiple clips on same video channel. Thanks so much!
This guy speaks sense. Good video and zero bollock waffle. Sorted.
I edit live small venue sporting events. I wish I could do this, but some of my sources don't have audio, and sometimes the files from sources like GoPros are auto-labeled in a weird order. Unfortunately I don't have any say in how they record it, I only do post-production.
This was so well done. Thank you so much!
You made something that's rather confusing, into something clear and understandable. Thanks so much for the info!
Is there a way to use your videography contract from that website and just adjust it the way I need to?
best multicam tutorial!!!! Thanks Mitchell
Thank you! Your video is really helpful!
thank you!!! this is the best way
I went to that website all the contracts are over $300 wow
After you do the cuts how do you secure them to go in for other edits like transitions and lables
Will this tab also work if video 1 or source video clip is also split, meaning cam 1 and cam 2, both clips are already split? Thanks for this over whelming tutorial, this saved my lots of time, Love from India❤
I'm so glad I finally found your video! After watching so many, your video was the only one that explained how to sync and edit a multicam with split up videos! Thank you very much! 😀👏
This is a tip to "fix" a problem that doesn't exist. Premiere will happily sync all those files into a multicam. Doesn't matter that they're spaced out on the one camera.
Can I set up a rule where it will automatically cut every min throughout the whole video with the different angles? I have over hr video with two angles and I don't want to re watch the whole thing.
I don't believe natively in premiere pro you can, but if it's like a video podcast, you can look up Autopod which is a plugin that will cut depending on who is talking. There's a free month trial and then it's like $29/month after that.
@@MitchellLosey thanks for reaching back out. Yes I have seen it before but not sure if it'll work for me since it a preacher preaching with different angles. I will dig and try to figure out if I can copy and paste the cuts or something haha
@@400080vikkash worst case scenario just play it back at 2x or 3x speed and make cuts every so often haha
@@MitchellLosey ah perfect, another great idea!
How did you combine the two cameras? I think there was a step missing. Ughhh
This is an awesome tutorial video, thank you!! You have a wonderful way of demonstrating and explaining things clearly. You helped me a lot!
YES ! Am familiar with the Synchronize feature on Adobe locking up multi camera tracks through the, 'Mixdown' setting however am now trying to Synchronize a new 4 Cam Multi Camera Shoot to a Master Audio Track recorded previously but after I draw over the 4 independent tracks then right click on the group my Synchronize tab is GHOSTED! Can you offer me a Solution?
You'll probably just have to sync each cam to the master audio one at a time and make sure the audio doesn't move when you sync each of them.
everyone talk about this!!! But noone talk, how to show names of cameras? Like it Resolve have
wow someone on reality street, real world issues. One thing I did learn was have one LONG audio reference track but so hard dealing with multiple cameras with multiple clips to build a muticam sequence
when your working in ae more then 10 years and need to sync clips.... I watched several tutorails but adobe is such shit of piece that I make it by the hands.
How did you record the same audio on both cameras? Was it a single audio signal input into both cameras? please explain
thanks bro
I have a problem with the synchronization of four cameras. Can you help me
Pick one clip as the main clip you're going to sync all the others to and put it at the beginning of the timeline. The one at a time, sync the other three to the first clip.
Fantastic tutorial. Quick and easy to use, I just edited a 4 cam concert with these tips. One tip that went by really quick that was frustrating the living crap out of me was that when syncing two clips together it's the one that is (closest to front of the timeline, or furthest left) will be the one that will move into sync. That small bit right there ended my frustration with trying to figure out how to get the one I wanted to move to do the moving. Thank you!
Appreciate it! So glad it helped 😁
Is there a way to get a copy of your contracts to use as a template?
It's much easier and faster to just nest all those clips after syncing and then import nested sequence and enable multicam. And you're ready to work with multicam.
I have been scouring the Earth for a video explaining this simply and completely, and I finally found it. Thank you so much!!! [SMASHING the subscribe button]
Haha thanks man! Glad it could help!
Hello, sir, thanks for the explanation! I always wondered when you are syncing 2 clips how does premiere decide which clip to move and which to stay put. I think you tried to explain this in the video, but somehow I didn't understand it :D Can you explain it again, please? Thanks!
Let's see if I can explain this where it makes sense without a visual haha. If you have two clips that you are syncing, one that is closer to the beginning of the timeline and one that is more towards the end of the timeline, the clip that moves will always be the one that is more towards the end of the timeline. The clip that is closer to the beginning will not move. 👍
@@MitchellLosey Do you mean like the starting points of both clips, because in your example the longer video's end was always closer to the end of the timeline? So it has to be the start points, right? Well I mean I can just open premiere and experiment, thanks though!!!
Let me give you one tip too :) I noticed when you type in names for sequences for example, when you hit Enter instead of just accepting it, premiere always moves on to the next file and opens that text box... and you have to everytime hit Esc to get out of there. Well, turns out if you use the numpad Enter it doesn't do that :) You can just hit enter and it just accepts it without moving to the next file.
@@penkatadrums Yes, I believe the starting points. Thanks!
I'm currently struggling using Multicam in Premiere Pro. Even in a recently tested strong desktop (Xeon 28 Cores, 64 gb Ram, RTX 3060 Ti 8 gb VRAM, SSD), playing back, cutting and selecting cameras in a 3 cam 2 audio recorder multicam secuence is a freaking nightmare! Super slow response (about 10 seconds to play or sift when it doesn't forget to, every time I make a cut this happens, just imagine how many cuts and how much lost time every time I need to play back or sift through the multicams), the computer spec don't even go over 50%, laggy, unresponsive, and if I need to edit a 2 hour weeding documentary edit, this is total trash. Seeing forums, all they say is update and a bunch of weird workaround which are 7 years old and did not work, and while updating solves some issues, you get new issues. I found your method about a year ago and it was a total game changer to me (being able to see your cameras at the same time is huge to me), but now that this is happening, it is just unworkable. Is anyone else having this issue? Could it be that this multicam editing method is inefficient for Premiere to process? Please help! For the time being, I am switching to Davinci on my next project.
HALLELUIAH! Seriously was about to rip my hair out. THANK YOU
amazinggg!
Thanks for the video very helpful. But the way you proposing is gonna create a mega chaos for people who do not intend to do the colour inside premiere. Because if my source is now a sequence and not a clip then the project has zero mobility to any other programs someone might as the xml won't have any of the proper info. Please correct me if I'm missing something here.
Hi there Mitchell, thank you very much for your how-to vid, this was super useful to me !!
Great video, thanks... Please, can you send me a copy of thiese contracts to my mail?
I have a question (and sorry for my not perfect English). If you have many cameras (for example 20 cameras or more) the dimension of the small screens of each one became very small, even if you use an external monitor only for the multicamera window
THIS VIDEO IS STILL RELEVENT AF!!! I already made all my cuts for my a cam and this saved me! Thank you sir!!!😬
Glad it helped!
Best video I’ve seen ! Thank you ⭐️
Wow, thank you!
came across this video bc im trying to get contracts set up.... the fact where both in the same state helped me so much more lol
Watched 4 Different Videos. This was the best one and had extra tips. Thank you!!
You're so welcome!
It’s been 4 weeks now and I’m a master multi-cam editor thanks to you!!! keep going fam. UA-cam is a journey love to see more videos
best multicam tutorial & the only one that made it work for me! thanks a lot, also I subbed!! great content.
Thanks for the sub!
Thanks a lot. This really helped today!
Glad to hear it!
Biggest mistake that I always see is not bringing lighting and just relying on their low light low camera + low aperture lens. Plus not using a VND filter.
Really helped me, thanks!
Amazing! Thanks for the tutorial.
Learnt stuff. Thank you for that. Didin't understand at 2:22 where you had synced the audio and then dragged the audio to the beginning of the vision.
Thank you so much for this video, really helpful!
Glad it was helpful!
Actually jumped right in, fuck yes
2nd cam's audio and video are not matching for my project. Anything you can help with me.
This was so useful. Amazing!
