The best part of the Emmas to me, is that it's bringing together the pedal community, the builders, the content creators, and industry players! Great show!
I feel like it's also the timeless tradition of fairness, the emcademy has been judging the best effects pedals since the birth of Les Paul, the first effects pedal. I couldn't go anywhere else for the best awards ceremony in pedals.
I don't play instruments and I don't use effect pedals but I seriously love this channel so much. The production you guys put into it is just perfect. Thank you for this wonderful video and I can't wait for next years!
Dear Miss Hopkins, Where have you and this delightful channel been hiding. This UA-cam movie was fantastic. I laughed and learned quite a bit (lol) from your efforts. Being an older musician with 60+ years in the life I found your time and effort was well spent. I enjoyed it so much I “liked and subscribed “ which I don’t do often. It is exciting to see what you have accomplished with an often overlooked and ignored instrument. Mixing classic and digital sounds is exciting and you have done it with a certain groove that is yours alone. You have definitely jumped the boundaries that many of us have mistakenly overlooked, nice job. I will most assuredly watch the remaining videos on your channel to see what you and the rest of you young adults can teach this old dog. Good luck with the future, keep up the great work, and enjoy each and every moment of life. God Bless you and yours, Sincerely, Pops Post Script: I will share this video so that more of us fossils get the msg, “Music isn’t lost it’s just hiding and waiting to be sampled and have rimes put to it.”
The floating spectacles that suddenly appeared (and un-appeared) during the transition to Joel during the 'Pedal of the Year' bit... dammit that was good.
I feel like your channel ascended so quickly over the past few years. It's probably especially crazy for you too. Great work on the award presentation! I appreciated all the pedal celeb cameos! Very cool!
I really enjoyed the way you’re doing the editing of this video. The winner from the reverb category seems to be out of this world. That Chase Bliss Lossy is amazing. Thanks Emily for doing this kind of award gala. Really fun to watch
This was a lovely celebration! Great job Emily + Russ! There are so many talented builders making amazing stuff. So much to check out from this year. 🎉
I love everything about this but I just wanted to show my appreciation for the little detail of flying Emily's glasses onto her face in order to maintain continuity. It's such a fun little touch and I know it didn't happen by magic. So please know that that bit of work is noticed and admired.
This is how you do award ceremony. Love this Em! Honored to be part of this. (P.S. we'll let that Eneekewma slip) (P.P.S Also we're gonna need that real trophy on our workshop)
Hahaha thank you SO much!! I’m so glad you enjoyed the celebration, despite my terrible pronunciation of Enieqma 😂❤️ ALSO, the trophies were all shipped out this morning, so your trophy is already on the way - I’ll be emailing you within the next hour or so with tracking information! 🥳🙌
Thank you Emily and Russ! What a fun thing seeing all the builders honored. Next year I’ll be on that live showing. Here’s to being broke and needing giveways!🎉
Wonderfully tongue in cheek. The first musician / composer employing distortion and effects with harp of which I'm aware was Zeena Parkins back in the '80s. It's good to see that there is further exploration going on with the harp. Kudos.
I have NO idea why this came up as recommended, I have NO idea about what effect pedals does and I have NO idea who any of these people are but I just watched all 37 minutes and found the content entertaining, learned about pedals and the creators - all delivered by an incredible talented and beautiful woman. Great suggestion from YT for once. 😀
Jeeze you are pretty freakin smart. It's clear you can go beyond pedals and make a dent in mass media. And awesomely you can pave your own way. No pressure
I love this! Also fun fact: the finnish music producers award is also called an Emma. The Emma Gaala is a Finnish music gala arranged yearly by Musiikkituottajat - IFPI Finland, awarding the Emma Awards to the most distinguished artists and music professionals of the year. It has been arranged annually since 1983.
Omgomgomg to be blessed by the Boglin Queen herself, I gotta learn how to make effect pedals now just to get an EMMA. EMMAs are cannon now, go get some - RIDE BOGLINS, RIIIDE! TO NEXT YEAR!!!
This awards ceremony was so much fun to watch, its put things on a consideration list for me, and it was so wholesome to see how you've helped bring so many people together. Thank you, Emily for everything you do, and I hope you and yours are off to a great 2024!
i absolutely love that the golden emma statue dude is that statue of the guy fending off a bunch of babies attacking him but with pedals, 10/10 work there lmao
Your channel has helped me grow as a musician - diving in deeper realms of the pedals - you are a true inspiration ! Best regards from Austria. All best for 2024 🎉
Thank you so much!! I really appreciate the kind words, and I’m so glad you’re enjoying the channel!! 🥹❤️ have an absolutely wonderful 2024 - thank you for being here with us!!
I just found your channel and I have to say I suffer from complex PTSD and very bad anxiety due to my time in the army and other traumas and just watching your videos and hearing your voice is so soothing and helpful especially when im having a panic attack. You are such a wholesome funny beautiful woman who is so talented. Thank you for being you! I love listening to your harp with all the pedals you use. Ive been playing guitar on and off for 5 years. I havent fully learned it yet but I cannot wait until im good enough to be able to use pedals. Again thank you. Youve given me a little bit of light in my darkness. Thanjs for helping!!!
So much fun to watch. Thank you very much, Emily (The Dark Star Goddess) and Russ (The Sunlight Goddess), for creating this awesome presentation. 🙌👋👋👋👋 Definitely a highlight of the pedal videos. 👍👍
omg your channel is the best. i love the funni silliness and the musicness. u kinda remind me of James Hoffmann a bit, in that even people who aren't ever gonna buy a pedal (as well as people who love pedals of course) are still entertained and curious. :o
The best part of the Emmas to me, is that it's bringing together the pedal community, the builders, the content creators, and industry players! Great show!
🥺
Heckyeah!🎉
Agreed!
Amazing. Such a unique concept. Hilarious and beautiful
I feel like it's also the timeless tradition of fairness, the emcademy has been judging the best effects pedals since the birth of Les Paul, the first effects pedal.
I couldn't go anywhere else for the best awards ceremony in pedals.
This is such a fun award ceremony. A lot of hard work, a lot of great guests, and a lot of glitter.
Thank you SO much! WAY too much glitter hahaha
@@emilyharpist The glitter gets its own mention as a cast member, it's a part of every level of production.
The Emmas is immeasurably better than every other award show combined!
Quietly passed a 1/3rd of a million. Congratulations. Little bonus accolade for the Emmas.
Thanks so much! So surreal!
The real winners are the viewers. The real awards were inside us all along. The real challenge comes with the pooping
The only award show worth being excited for.
Here with my 4&7 year old daughter’s…. We all love watching your creativity! Best channel and it’s not even close !
I don't play instruments and I don't use effect pedals but I seriously love this channel so much. The production you guys put into it is just perfect. Thank you for this wonderful video and I can't wait for next years!
Honestly same! Emily just has such a wholesome vibe and she clearly loves sharing these magical sounds with us. It's easy to love!
hey that's me, I was gonna say that. I just found the channel. I don't know who anyone in it is but I already love Emily.
Don't worry. Most people I know with insanely expensive instruments can't play too.
this was the best emmas of 2023 by far
Thanks king you can crash it any time
_Indubitably_ 🧐👌✨
The editing and delivery on this are spectacular. Was a pleasure to watch.
Thank you so much!
@@emilyharpist, I agree. You're quite the comedienne! Lots of fun...
So cool to see the people behind all the pedal companies

Lots of work went into this video and it was worth it. Great job Emily 😎

The Emma's, the only award show that really counts! Thanks for putting in the time to do this

Emma! As a rhythm and lead guitarist! I applaud you! Thank you! The Emma Awards is the bomb!
Thank you Emily and Russ and all the pedal builders!!!
Best awards show ever. It's up there with NAMM Oddities as my favourite gear gallery. The cousin from New Jersey...gorgeous. That accent. Superb.
