      @@SuperChaoticus only if it’s perfectly aged and selected with matching grain grains for optimal tonal resonance. If it’s that barilla crap you might as well be playing a squire strat with shoelaces for strings because your tone will be as wet and floppy as over boiled linguine.

      Exactly. I play guitar, can't read music, can't tell you what mode I'm playing in, can barely tell you what key I'm in, only know the rudimentary major and minor scales and not even in all positions on the neck, but I've released 3 albums that sound like I wanted them to sound. Punk rock was all about picking up an instrument and playing it. We've lost that spirit.

      @@qua7771i think it’s more the online space we live in. guitarists online are pretty terrible, and as a teacher i try to steer people away from guitar comments sections so they don’t get discouraged… it’s rough

      @@kellenwilliamson861 Agree. The people who comment most are the ones who should be listening. I called a few of them out as never having plaid guitar. There is a generation that never actually does things outside of commenting, as bizarre as that sounds.
      I use the web as a tool to learn songs. I started learning in 1979 before all this, and it was really hard back then without information.

      Honestly that's really disappointing... I don't get why we can't help each other get better instead of knocking people down. Even Ivan's comment about the fingers was mean imo, you can correct someone without making them feel like shit 🤷 I actually didn't know that the guitar community was so mean spirited.     the very fact you aren’t a guitarist, is what makes your pedal videos so good. Us guitarists are generally full of crap and have such ingrained bias towards so many different things, it’s a breath of fresh air having someone without all that baggage demo pedals.

      This is just indicative of how people are becoming online. It doesn't matter what it's about, people are just becoming elitist assholes who are full of spite. Social media has really done a number on how people think it's acceptable to talk to people.

    Yvette Young is one of the most inspirational guitarists of our generation. I rarely listen to the genres she primarily plays, but her playing and songwriting is so good and creative that I'm drawn to her work against my will. She makes me want to be more creative with my songwriting.

    What I love about what you do is that you come at pedals from a totally different viewpoint.
    A viewpoint that can inspire guitarists to break out of their bubble and experiment.
    I'm also lucky I didn't have a sip of coffee in my mouth when Yvette came on - otherwise I would have needed a new KB or monitor.
