Wait. Did Nathan crush Emma's, left foot (8:05)? He reaction, plus she definitely looked like she was protecting the foot every time Nathan rose up... and then she starts talking about her broken bones!
not sure if everyone is understanding that this is a skit emma was in on in which she's embodying a bit of her character on 'the curse.' if you haven't seen it, whitney is a rather uptight woman of the "karen" variety who is obsessed with maintaining a good public image to a disconcerting degree. also, her marriage to nathan's character, asher, is ... a bit detached, hostile, and otherwise uncomfortable, which is without question what the two of them were playing at here. the curse is a masterfully executed social critique on performative activism, the more ugly truth that tends to shatter the carefully crafted facade of reality tv, and myriad other things. but emma's toe 😭 hopefully she's ok ❤️
I realized Emma was in on the gag, but didn't know the background, so thanks for the info. I still think it was a terribly disappointing interview, though. He monopolized the time and was just too much of a downer. Others seemed to enjoy him, so I'm glad they did.
As a fellow Canadian I can attest to how cool this guy really is in real life. After seeing his band 'Constellation Puppy' live back in the day at the Horseshoe Tavern in Toronto, it was a great departure indeed to see his portrayal of a yuppie suit dweller in his more recent acting work. This guy stole Mike's girlfriend back in the day after a gig they played at the Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver, Mike of Mike and Mike's X-Canada Adventures fame that is, from back in the day if you were hip to what was going down so to speak on the tube. There is a rich history in the arts up here in Canada that is completely passed over and neglected in the USA press.
Fair play to Emma for carrying on, after Nathan accidentally stepped on her foot… that really shows that Nathan & Emma have such great chemistry and are down to earth people, great to see in this day and age.

Emma is so stunning omg
Fielder is the best thing to come out of Canada since Norm Macdonald and hockey.
It’s wild that Nathan is on Jimmy Kimmel and not talking about that whacky, zany, and interesting incident he had with that stranger’s mother’s ashes! Wow, that sure made me resonate with his fascinating life!
Nathans fit unironically goes hard
Nathan on SNL next please? The skits would be so fire
man I love Emma Stone she cracks me up she's my all time celeb crush
Love Nathan Fielder. I heard he went to business school and got really good grades.
Nathan creating an entire show just to make Emma Stone contractually obligated to hang out with him is brilliant.
Wait. Did Nathan crush Emma's, left foot (8:05)? He reaction, plus she definitely looked like she was protecting the foot every time Nathan rose up... and then she starts talking about her broken bones!
And I think she acted right through the pain for the rest of the bit!
I couldn't tell if it was part of the bit. I've watched it several times I think it wasn't planned. Ow!
Yeah she died soon after
in jail. and was the terminator the whole time@@Lanthiren
not sure if everyone is understanding that this is a skit emma was in on in which she's embodying a bit of her character on 'the curse.' if you haven't seen it, whitney is a rather uptight woman of the "karen" variety who is obsessed with maintaining a good public image to a disconcerting degree. also, her marriage to nathan's character, asher, is ... a bit detached, hostile, and otherwise uncomfortable, which is without question what the two of them were playing at here.
the curse is a masterfully executed social critique on performative activism, the more ugly truth that tends to shatter the carefully crafted facade of reality tv, and myriad other things.
but emma's toe 😭 hopefully she's ok ❤️
Thanks for the info, was a bit puzzled.
I think he did actually step on her toe when he gave Jimmy the newspaper, but she stayed in character very well.
I realized Emma was in on the gag, but didn't know the background, so thanks for the info. I still think it was a terribly disappointing interview, though. He monopolized the time and was just too much of a downer. Others seemed to enjoy him, so I'm glad they did.
i love that Nathans idea of cool laid back a-lister is Leon the Professional.
nathan is unbelievably witty, a national treasure.
15:40 love when nathan breaks character lmao
I know I’m late but I just finished this series and I loved it.
Finally we see the real Nathan!
I truly love Nathan fielder more than anyone else
Fair play to Emma for carrying on, after Nathan accidentally stepped on her foot… that really shows that Nathan & Emma have such great chemistry and are down to earth people, great to see in this day and age.
the Kimmel show doesn't deserve these two wonderful people as guests
a combo i never saw coming. but so hilarious
i'm excited for Nathan's upcoming rap career
haven't you heard Downtown Brown?
What do you mean? His rap alias Digbar. You must not be a real fan.
With or without his former band The Banzai Predicament
