dude, the simplicity in your mixes and the way they sound represents the difference between a professional and the rest. looking forward to get the course!
Sounds insanely good! The guitar tone is massive and has one of the best grinds I've heard (those mids are full af, in a great way). Overall mix sounds punchy as hell as well. Can't wait to use the IR's
Awesome! It would be great if we can have a video about how to get drums to sound like that from scratch or how to blend instruments from another libraries in toontrack, hope one day we can see that in your channel. Thanks for all the awesome material, Mendel!
Sounds killer as always dude! I did notice that it looks like you accidentally left the cab section on for the Gojira tracks, or at least the one you showed off - still sounds great, everything contributes!
Fuck to the yeah! Loving these vidz, dude! Do you have a Cubase metal template you could share with us that includes your EQ’s, comp settings etc? I’m sure a lot of followers here would love that as a starting point to build from! 🤘😎🤘
Awesome tone, it does sound to Thrash Metal tone, hands down, also love your drum sound, which drum library did you use, sound fantastic, really defined, with the snare and kick cutting through and perfect for the guitar tone.
omg!! what een eye-opener!! i used to have a amp sim on every DI track....to link it to a buss would be soooooooooo much easier!!.. Additional question regarding IR's .. there's also possibilties to blend multiple IR's at the same (like with the STL Libra)... instead of just using one.. what are your thoughts on that ?
Do notice I do use an amp sim on every single track, just not the cab :)! I blend IR’s as well, but mainly two max (Marshall cab and Mesa cab for example). I prefer quad tracking and using IR1 on L and R, and IR2 on L2 and R2.
Something I do is run a group track with an amp sim set to stereo, and two guitar DI tracks hard-panned left and right into that. Any more than that and it's going to sound... bad... Saves a little bit of CPU effort, but still needs two or three group tracks for most songs.
@@joristimmermans5058 I do a similar thing! One left, one right but one center too! That's my Monitor channel. So I track to left and right but always have center one for monitoring because I don't like that hard left or right! Plus, have the amp and sim on the bus makes it easier to dial in the tone. You do both sides at once!
Killer as always! how do you achieve your drums sound? what drums software and VST's are you using? how are you mixing them? Id love to see in in depth tutorial if you have the time.
have u ever just done it in a standalone plugin style without the recording software so people can hear what it really sounds like alot of people just want good cab sims while learning songs
You lost me as soon as you said any pick ups will do no not any pick ups will do you’re not gonna get the same thrash tone out of a EMG 81 that you will with a loop with a lipstick single coil

This instruction has been all killer and no filler.

Fuck, that transition into the 2 step riff is so good. Almost getting some hardcore vibes in there.
Hardcore = LEVUH ❤️ #2step
All the drrrm drmm!
Sounds great Mendel, I always learn from watching you mix.
I’ve been waiting for the tone building video! Keep them coming please!
Mendel, Thanks for the fantastic IRs. They are absolutelly killers!! The new Album will be recorded with them. Eminence for sure!!!
I’ve probably picked up more knowledge from you than anyone else online. Great stuff as always!
Excellent. Love all your recording videos.
Sounding good. Thanks for the excellent content.

Awesome video as always! Heel leuk :D
Great as always! Learning something new every time. Thanks! 🤘😎🤘
I needed this so much!
Nice video. Cool t shirt!
Now I'm really hoping there's some thrash stuff on your new album. 🤘🏾
Sound sick! andy sneap vibe..
Sounds killer as always dude! I did notice that it looks like you accidentally left the cab section on for the Gojira tracks, or at least the one you showed off - still sounds great, everything contributes!
Cab section is on but no cabs were loaded.
The crickets :D
Just what I need...though I like the tone on Among the Living and such
Aborted is one of my favorites bands🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Thanks!
Greetings, dude! What settings did you use for the pedal sections on those plugins? Thanks!!!
What chair do you use? I thought I saw the flip up arms in one of your Cubase videos.
Awesommmee tones! Damn!
Can i get this tone with a bareknuckle aftermath? Or is It the wrong pickup?
Fuck to the yeah! Loving these vidz, dude!

When you were in aborted, on your really technical single note type riffs did you quad track them? Better yet did you quad track across the board?
Necrotic Manifesto album all dual tracked, Retrogore and TerrorVision all quad tracked.

Did you use pedals up front of the both amps if I may ask ?
Whats your Input Trim Level? If i set it to 0 i have to hit the strings very hard in live mode... i mean this in generel.
YESSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!! 😍😍😍💪💪💪
Wait I don't think I'm following, do I need an additional vst or plugin or something or can I just play straight away when I buy the bundle?
You need an amp sim where you can load impulse responses.

Programmed drum mixing course is in the works
@@Mendelian any update with this course ??
That's one perfect modern thrash tone. Did you use any overdrive pedal before the amps?
No, I believe not haha
LOL the bugs! Also I never knew you could run multiple amp sims into one cab sim like that. Is that just one cab in an IR loader on the guitar bus?
Jup!
Hatesphere! Don't hear enough of them mentioned and they sure as hell should be \m/
Exactly

Hahahaha! Good one :)!

The most cruel mix is slayers hell awaits album. Cool at the 80's but from today's perspective - terrible.
