That's the proof you don't need to be a man to play hard. These women rock !!!!...... and I wholeheartedly agree with Ian Paice (MASTER Ian Paice I should say), they nailed it 100% and they deserve better, larger audience. Well done girls !!
Really great to see Ian Paice appreciate these musicians. As he said they deserve bigger audiences. I would pay to see them any time. Quality is quality
Thank you Mr Ian Paice! We have a fantastic memory of the concert with you and you are a great Maestro, in so many differents things. We miss you very much. Hugs from Italy
This cover of perfect stranger by 'Strage Kind of Women' has heightened my respect for Deep Purple. Well done Strange Kind of Women. You nailed it as Ian Paice reacted. Better than even men. love you guys. keep it up. Bog fan
i dont need Ian to say they nailed it, i played in a band too and i have ears. they are fantastic. better than 99.9 percent of bands today and 1970 too
What a great time to see them I'm sure they played a lot of "Fireball" and "Machine Head" just being released, incredible, if I could go back in time and see DP that would be the era I'd dial in on the time machine....... I bet that's a cherished memory🤔🤘🏻
I saw Purple in '86 -- the Perfect Strangers tour, in fact, and not again until 2017. Very different times and venues, very enjoyable shows. If these ladies ever get to Las Vegas, I will be there.
One of my favourite songs since the day it was released by Deep Purple, back when I was a young child. Thanks so much for doing it justice and congratulations for having the great Ian Paice hold your cover in such high regard. Time now for me to go and find more of your tunes!
Fan of Deep Purple since 1970, I find that Perfect Strangers by these girls is perfect performed; Ian Paice, the great drummer of Deep Purple, also agrees ! This performance is as great as the original !!!!! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 By the way, I think Paice is the greatest drummer that I've ever seen !!!!!!!!
Superb version by a band who obviously love Deep Purple as much as I do ! Ian Paice is a gentleman ! A drumming legend who I have seen so many times live - loved the way he was so complimentary to these fabulous musicians.
Yes, they are amazing. Speaking of amazing, thank you, Ian, for the wonderful years of Purple. First rock experience, Deep Purple in 1972. First rock album bought, Deep Purple's Burn. Great memories.
I saw them in that tour also. They were fantastic even though we never got to hear Smoke on the Water. Gillian and Blackmore were arguing backstage and the show ended one encore short.
@@gregm17 I saw them in 1985 at Knebworth, which was a great show. I saw them again in 1988 at Wembley when Blackmore refused to do an encore and I saw SotW played without a guitar. John Lord picked up the melody and Roger Glover moved forwards and across the stage to fill the space left by Ritchie.
As a life-long Deep Purple fan, it was extraordinary to watch this female band do an almost perfect rendition of this rock classic. Well done, ladies, keep up the good work!!
For someone who was at Knebworth in 1985, thinking it was a lifetime since Deep Purple existed, this is a breath of fresh air 35yrs later and one of the all too few examples that the human race is advancing. Thank you 'Strange Kind of Women" - keep it up :-)
It was an amazing experience, I was 18, it still might be the best concert I have ever seen, the fire crackers at the end of the concert woke the whole of Stevenage up! These ladies really do it, imagine them playing to a place like that, would be wonderful.
I totally agree with Mr. Ian Paice. You nailed it... I really hope you are all safe and are holding up in these troubled times keeping the band together and keeping the faith and hope strong The New Year can, and will eventually, bring us all new great moments and possibillities... Keep on rockin'...
Amazing Ian..they did nail it...I"ve spent 51 years nailing Deep Purple...I met Ian and Deep Purple at house of Blues Myrtle Beach SC..They Talked to dedicated fans and spent nearly 4 hours with us in the back parking lot loading dock area..They were absolute on fire this evening,,Gillans voice was like 1972 all over,They also reached back to the older songs was mind blowing ,,no no no ..no one came..I'm alone..Best night of my life..
Even the sound and the tone is right for the song, so many people "metal" it up and ruin it, but that has the texture and sound to compliment the song! Excellent job!
Glad you are still around and in good health Ian, you are at the peak of the British drum nobility! One of the best of all time and part of my teenage years back in the 70's. Totally agree this female band are uniformly excellent and deserve more recognition. Ladies do you need to highlight original songs as well as the fabulous Purple covers you do? Thanks for posting.
I absolutely love these women. They are unbelievably awesome. I bought my first Deep Purple album Fireball in the early seventies when I was a young teenager.
I'm a 50 yr. Old drummer and am so happy to see Ledgendary Ian Pace enjoy and comment on this! The ladies did a Superb job! Like Ian, Ive played Pearl drums Forever, and the Pearl Ian Pace model snare drum is an absolute Killer! Great Vid!!
I've seen Purp 14 times in 70's 80's and last tour and these girls show how good they were and what an influence they are to them and all Rockers around the world. Two thumbs up and Long live rock and roll.
Wow, not only did he spend the time to give comments but did a review and knows your names - I'd say you made quite the impression. Perfect Strangers as been one of my favorite songs since the day it was released and you nailed it.
Thank you Ian for your true nature. I was re-born when I cam across this wonderful group. I have to go back to the real deal and pinch myself to wake up out of the flashback's. In 1973 down here in south Texas our high school band went to Amsterdam. My brother came back with a cassette tape of Smoke on the Water. it was not released in the US yet for about six months. On south Padre Island there used to be a gathering on Easter weekend called Tent city. We tripped hard listening to that tape. I still have that blue tape. Thank you again Master Ian Paice I'm really happy you did this Video for the Lady's. Live long and prosper. 😸✌
This is stupendous! I have listened to DP many thousands of times in the course of more than 40 years. And I heaped the same kind of praise on Strange Kind of Women soon after hearing several of their DP performances. But who am I to give judgement? I am not even a musician! I am just a fan. Therefore, I am not simply happy - I am overjoyed and I am absolutely thrilled to hear Ian Paice give the girls exactly the same judgement as I did! "They nail it!" This is incredible - and foretells a lot of success for the girls! Keeping fingers crossed for this to happen!
Keyboardist is cute and they all are talented. This is one of the better performances I have seen From Strange Kinda Women..The drummer like the Chief said kept the tempo correct. That is why Ritchie always stayed close to his drummer's. Ritchie said they kept the timing together. Paice was a monster and his rolls and Fills weren't equaled by anyone. His arrangements were all different. He was one creative genius in those accounts. Everyone talks about Ritchie and Lord. Those guys we're geniuses and Paice was right with them.
Ian is such a great stand up guy giving inspiration to these young talented Artists in all his Videos, looks like he'd like to be right up with them Jamming , its awesome to see !!! Kudo's to Ian
Saw D.P. in Minneapolis in '72, with Uriah Heep opening, so I got a 2-for-1 of favorite bands. They played a new song towards the end called "Space Truckin'" that blew me away. Thank you Mr. Paice for a lifetime of my favorite music!
This is one of the best songs Deep Purple ever wrote. I’ve seen them do it live many times and I have to agree with Ian Paice that these musicians really nailed it. The keyboard and guitar playing really have the same feel as Lord and Blackmore, the rhythm section are rock solid, the drummer really setting the pace, and the singer is fabulous. Where are they from.
I saw you D.P. at the Johanneshov ice stadium in Stockholm June 15 -1985, you had three gigs ther and I saw you on Saturday when Ian Gillan's voice was at its best that week end it was an overwhelmingly good concert which i carry with me for the rest of my life so thanks. I had the vinyl record's sen the 70's and CD's made in Japan and Europe sen the early 80's but had never thought i would see and hear you live.
Mega talent de Strange kind of woman , validé par Ian Paice en personne ! Quoi de mieux ? 50 ans de qualité oblitéré par le Purple ! c'est quelque chose ! yeah , go on and thmany thanks ladies ! Great job!

You are one awesome band!!
Drummer has super feel, taste and like Ian said, holds the tempo really well. I was bopping to this!!!
What a present when the Master tells you what he does think about your job! I mean this has no name. It is only a pure happiness.
The Ian Paice seal of approval. There's none better. Awesome.
This cover of perfect stranger by 'Strage Kind of Women' has heightened my respect for Deep Purple. Well done Strange Kind of Women. You nailed it as Ian Paice reacted. Better than even men. love you guys. keep it up. Bog fan
Imagine being in this great band and the legendary Ian Paice gives you the Thumbs Up.

i dont need Ian to say they nailed it, i played in a band too and i have ears. they are fantastic. better than 99.9 percent of bands today and 1970 too
Ian is a very humble guy, he is a legend already, give this comments to a all girl band, they must be very good !!
The lady behind the drum is a power machine!
There's their cover of Child In Time that has like really amazing drumming

If Ian Paice Reacts kindly to the drummer, you know She nailed it!!!
I got to see Deep Purple in 1971......I would see these women in a heartbeat....peace
I so agree.
What a great time to see them I'm sure they played a lot of "Fireball" and "Machine Head" just being released, incredible, if I could go back in time and see DP that would be the era I'd dial in on the time machine....... I bet that's a cherished memory🤔🤘🏻

Ian Paice made some of the greatest rock on the planet. Strange kind of womEn are a great band.

*Strange kind of Women* are AWESOME...EXCELLENT all around...vocals ..guitars..drims..keyboards..AND they are all beautiful ❤🍷🍷
The singer is spectacularly in control of her voice.
I agree!
Estar en un concierto de Deep Purple, es lo máximo !!!
He’s great but have you not heard the late Neil Peart of Rush ?
There are 52 dislikes probably from guys who can't accept the fact these girls play better than they do!
Superb version by a band who obviously love Deep Purple as much as I do ! Ian Paice is a gentleman ! A drumming legend who I have seen so many times live - loved the way he was so complimentary to these fabulous musicians.
Without a doubt one Of The best Drummer ever and proud to say is still rockin in 2024
I just found one new favourite band ...great ..
Yes, they are amazing. Speaking of amazing, thank you, Ian, for the wonderful years of Purple. First rock experience, Deep Purple in 1972. First rock album bought, Deep Purple's Burn. Great memories.
The singer, in addition to singing very well, she has a vibrato in her voice that is unique, outstanding ! Much success for the band !!
Tout à fait d'accord avec vous Gilberto M Falcoski......La Chanteuse est EXCEPTIONNELLE
Any one who does a passable rendition of Jon Lord on keys has my respect. Girls rock it!
I saw Deep Purple when Perfect Strangers was a new song. Makes me feel old. This band really capture the sound.
I still call Perfect Strangers "the new album of Deep Purple" 🙈
I saw them in that tour also. They were fantastic even though we never got to hear Smoke on the Water. Gillian and Blackmore were arguing backstage and the show ended one encore short.

@Simon England I invested your £10 with a Nigerian prince and I'll be happy to send you your share of the US$25million when I receive it. :)
@Skodaman2 Huh? What about Slaves & Masters, The Battle Rages On, Purpendicular, Abandon, Bananas, Rapture of the Deep, Now What?!, and Infinite?
You can see Ian smile and really enjoying watching them play Perfect Strangers. Especially the drum and keyboard parts.
Thanks Ian for your great appraisal. What a band! As Ian says they deserve a huge audience.
Great Song.
Great Band.
Great respect from Ian.
So gut wie das Orginal. Super.
I love how these women play.
If the best drummer on the planet says they're good. That is good enough for me
Na na, there are many good drummers, for example Nico McBrain or Simon Philips.
Greatest cover of this song I have ever heard. Super talented.
As a life-long Deep Purple fan, it was extraordinary to watch this female band do an almost perfect rendition of this rock classic. Well done, ladies, keep up the good work!!
My favorite Deep Purple tune. You can tell they had fun on stage & added their own special touches to the song.
I've seen this a few times ......... that drummer is something else, very talented 👍
Ian Paice the legend! And great girls keep on playing!
For someone who was at Knebworth in 1985, thinking it was a lifetime since Deep Purple existed, this is a breath of fresh air 35yrs later and one of the all too few examples that the human race is advancing. Thank you 'Strange Kind of Women" - keep it up :-)

The singer carries the whole thing. Magnificent front woman with great stage presence.
Big voice, big presence.
Yes. Like how she moves on stage and her outfit is lovely too. Her Performance of Stormbringer is also great.
The singer is great, but the band don't need to be carried by anyone! The entire band is pulling their weight.
@@pulaski1 Agreed the band are fantastic and i'm not dissing them but you need a really good front person in any band and she fits the bill perfectly.
*Amazing* version of this song! The organ sound is right on the money.
I agree, nailed it! All of em. And much respect for you Mr. Paice.👏🏻👏🏻
Great band, I love them, and they play Deep Purple very well!
That sounded great I loved it. Always great to see Ian Paice. One of my five heroes.
The best interpretation they did of this piece...very difficult to repeat such a gift...🤩🤩🤩
Even the sound and the tone is right for the song, so many people "metal" it up and ruin it, but that has the texture and sound to compliment the song! Excellent job!
WOW! .....The future of Deep Purple!
Thank God these Women give you hope
Rock will live on
LMAO
Wow...that was so good..both the performance of the band AND the analysis by Mr. Paice!
If Paice says "great Job", "the tempo is right", "they nailed it", nobody will the opposite say !! Also, the setting and the lights are perfect !!!!
Yes, Ian, these ladies do deserve better. I hope, in time, they get it. I would love to see them live and even purchase their music. They are awesome!
Cool ladies. I'm already in love with the drummer.
