Hey Cody, thank you so much for your great advices and informations. Do you sell your products in Canada?
Loooved this video ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I always leave with a lil bit of helpful info from your videos. Xxoo
Cody - I use lactic acid and love it but I didn't know ANY of that - such and informative video. Thanks again.
Yeah glad this helped. It’s a powerful acid with many benefits. I’ll mention more benefits in the future
Oh SNAP, I've been using this in my skin brightening system and can testify that it DOES work! Ty Cody!
Oh my God thank you so much for your continued business and trust. You’ve been with me for a while now
@@MontarboSkinCareSanDiego yes, and I'm STAYING!
I did a beauty monster plasma pen. I live in an area where we don't have access to spa treatments. Most of the time I do my own treatments. I've watched other videos on the plasma pens. For wrinkles
I'll definitely look it up 😀😀
Thank you so much. I did my very first acid peel last night, a Lactic Acid 50% and obviously left on for a little too long. Never mind, I'm not going anywhere for a few days anyway and I'm sure I'll look fabulous after it's healed a bit more. Looking forward to getting more good results when I start using regularly (and for less time). With gratitude x
Hoping you see and love results! You are brave
Thanks!
Hi Cody! Please can you tell me how can I bring this into my Retin-A 0.025 routine? I use the Retin-A every other night. Thank you x
I have a lactic acid mask I found in Marshalls for 4.99 and it works amazing I use it once a week
First of all I want to say your videos our revolutionary to me, that I only just realized some things after watching them (like how can I use more than a pea size amount of retin A). I want to incorporate lactic acid in to my regimen. Would it be too much to use it with retinA? Can I do alternate nights with it? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
You have gorgeous skin
I had no idea lactic acid was so important. Do you prefer it over glycolic acid? I'm going to purchase yours asap. Not sure how to fit it into my routine but since I'm new here and binge watching 😊 im hoping I find a video to help with that.
Thank you! I've tried a 10% lactic acid solution on my chicken skin and wow, the bumps are almost non-visible the first night of use! I've used scrubs, moisturizers, bleaching products just to smoothen out parts of my skin that has chicken skin before and nothing worked, except for this one!
Thankyou again Cody for another educated video. Always something learned from you! Big hugs! 🤗 xoxo Mary
Awe so honored
Super helpful 👍 and understandable ...
I bought yours, I have sensitive skin, can"t use it everyday. But after watching this, I am going to try and get my skin used to it. Thanks for this information
Thank you so much for your trust. Not necessary to use every day. Once a week is fine but maybe you could step it up just a tiny bit and rents anytime if you feel like you need it
Cody , how and when should it be used please , thank you missed you love your info xxxxx
It’s so great to see you Julio. Best use three times a week as your main exfoliate. Or a few drops every day at night rinsing it after a few minutes
I started using ordinary lactic acid 10% +ha . I use a strong moisturizer after it that’s about it. I have few acne spots that’s all . Would this regime help?
Missed you Cody!!! I actually use a mixture of glycolic acid and lactic acid, about 15% of each. Are those two acids good together, in your opinion?? I only use it once a week because I use prescription Retin-a nightly.
Really, really love you and your channel!!!
KirstenGlae Parker yes love, both are fine including regimen. Awe thank you for your support sweetheart
Thank you so much
So lactic acid use at night. But can we put the retinol over/under? Or we use this separately only?
Cody, thanks for this video. Exactly where in the skin care regime is Lactic Acid used? Do you apply it and then rinse off or leave on? Thanks
If you use it daily you can apply a few drops and then rinse it off after three minutes or use it three times a week using about 10 drops.
Great video share
Love it! My skin got so much better after you suggested this. Won’t go without it!
Lori Jo awe so happy to hear your feedback, thank you love
Glad to hear that (: did you experience purge?
@@MontarboSkinCareSanDiegocan you tell me how to apply it and do we wipe it off ? Or leave on over night ? I bought the ordinary 5% I have sentuve skin
Hi Cody! You look fabulous! Your skin is a testimonial to the quality of your products. Thank-you for this video. I truly appreciate you taking the time to educate your viewers about the benefits of Lactic Acid. I had no idea it could be beneficial in so many ways! I am older, so I better get going with Lactic Acid. Thank-you again. Be well-Helene
What a lovely comment. Thank you so much for the feedback and for always being so lovely. Have a blessed weekend
I can tell it works, because you look beautiful.
Can you please tell me your skin care routine, I need skin that looks like yours
Hi cody, I'm shocked you dont have more subscribers. I love watching you...so much good info on having good skin..product knowledge ect. Ps.. my daughter just graduated from college. She went for esthetics..taking state boards in July. 😊 so proud .. hope your having a good weekend! Xo
Gina henkel awe thank you sweetheart. I’m grateful that others find my info helpful. Wishing your daughter the best of luck and success, love this industry.
@@MontarboSkinCareSanDiego your welcome cody and thank you! Very excited about her journey!
Can I use Ammonium Lactate 12% cream on my face, if so how much and how often ? I just started this video
How would you use this with your other products?Currently using and LOVING(obssessed is more like it😂) your mothers day collection(also bought your amazing vit C)when and how would I use the lactic acid? I'm also starting my retin A soon, can the lactic acid be used with all the above? Thanks for your help! You're the best👏✌👌😘!!!
Wow thank you so much for your trust and purchase. So honored to be trusted with your skin and concerns. Just use the lactic a couple times a week when you want more exfoliation. Or you can use a few drops every night and leave it on for a couple minutes then rinse
How often do use lactic acid peel professionally thx
I love my lactic acid body wash , I’ just bumped up to a a 20% how often shoukd i use it on my body , I’m black and i have hyperpigmentation as well as dark scaring ,,I’m also using a 20% lactic acid lotion , just started last night . So how often should i use this ? I’m gonna use my lotion every night . I use a 50% peel on my face but i don’t follow up to see results so I’m wondering if i shouldn’t include a lactic face wash and lactic moisturizer
hi i have closed comedone all over my face, can i use toner that contain lactic acid with adapalene?and can i use the toner everyday?
Loved the explanation.... May i know how much time it usually take to show results and for how long should i use it
It’s hard to say as results vary, depends on your skin and how much damage there is
i use lactacyd baby bath it contains lactoserum and lactic acid and thats what i use for my face combination with dove beauty bar i can really tell i dont hav acnes before only one pimple
My question is the same as Elizabeth Lopez. I'm also on Retin a...how would that work. thanks love!
Use a few drops before RA or use this a couple times a week for the fabulous exfoliation
TYSM for posting this 💗
I’m so glad this resonated with you. Have a blessed weekend
How is this one compared to good genes? I tried a sample of good genes and it was amazing but i bought the full bottle and it seems not as strong.
Hi Cody. Do you ship to the UK?
Does lactic acid cause the skin to purge? Also love your videos Cody, always so informative😊
Yes it can since it’s active.
Where in my skin care regimen should I use lactic acid? I assume I would rotate between retinol and this but I am not even sure where that is supposed to go. Thanks in advance.
Depending on the product formulation, best to use a few times a week
Is your lactic acid treatment meant to leave on or wash off? Also, can you do a video comparing lactic and glycolic acid?? Love yo Cody!
I definitely can do a video. You can leave it on or rinse it off. Depends on your tolerance
GirlyMuscleTV i use nith , but find lactic more tolorabke
Cody’s lactic changed my Skin! The closed comedones are gone! And I glow naturally, I have a sheen to my skin 24/7! I’m almost out eek lol I hope Cody doesn’t mind the shout out to my IG but look at it! It really has made a huge difference!
Heidi Ledford omg thank you my love. Really honored to be trusted, I appreciate your honest feedback and testimony 🙏
I’m thinking about buying this it’s a good alternative to the Sunday Riley good genes and this is 10% lactic. And not ridiculously priced.
🙏 thank you, hope you find it beneficial. I appreciate your interest.
Can I use this with Niacinamide?
Hi Cody, so good to see you. Let me tell you your lactic acid brightening is slowly fading the melasma on my cheeks. I am very happy with the results. 🙏🏽
luckyone222 omg so happy to hear it has improved your skin. Thank you for trusting my products and trying 🙏

Hi which 1 do u use plz?
Hello. I am an 18 year old who has mild acne but my forehead acne is pretty severe. I am currently on Retin A gel and a lot of my acne is on my hairline. I do wear my hair down, but I make sure to wipe my forehead and face throughout the day. Most of the forehead acne is composed of acne marks. Any tips?
You most likely need to exfoliate. This lactic can help or something similar.
I have small spots of rosacea and psoriasis on my face, one on cheek a dime size and one on forhead. Using prescribed creams on those spots but still red, laying off everything else. Can I use my lactic on other parts of face?
denise bissell yes you can, best to slowly introduce the active solution. You may be able to work it up to use all over as it will help strengthen and condition.
How do you feel about PCA skin ultra peel? Its lactic acid. I get realky good results doing a light peel/2-3 layers of the peel every 3 weeks.
Hi I think it’s a good brand, they’ve been around for years and is a great intro to peels
I bought a 65 percent lactic acid from a reputable company but omg it burned my face in spots around my mouth and under my eyes and my nasal folds What the heck did I do wrong ? I did do a TCA peel about two weeks ago but Lactic acid has never burned me before and I only left it on for one min! And I quickly washed it off ! I’m 55 years old and I’m trying to get my under eye bags gone and the wrinkles under them tighten up and darkness gone ! What do you suggest I use to get rid of my problem under my eyes ? Help lol
Does it help with scarring?? My dumb butt popped under the skin pimples.
I have “chicken skin” under both of my eyes. Will this help? I am using a retinol and vitamin c as well.
I had that look too. Have a dermatologist or plastic surgeon inject a filler by the eyebrow and below it plumps the skin up and takes away that look!
I don't know why I'm not subscribed to you but here's me subscribing to you
🙏❤️
Hi❣I want to try lactic acid, is it suitable for mixed skin (half African half white) ? Great video and great skin BTW 🌹💚
I'm black African and works well for me.
I use the ordinarys, glows my skin.
Fatuma Yusuf do we have to use sunscreen with it? I black african too
Hi new subbie here, do I need to keep lactic acid products refrigerated? And what are their expiration?
Hi! Welcome and thank you so much. My lactic? I don’t feel they need to be, as long as it’s stored reasonably, it’s fine. My products last about a year open and about 2 unopened
If my skin didn’t do well to Retin-A, you think lactic acid might be a better option? Thank you!!
Yes chemical exfoliants are regenerating like Vitamin A. Also retinol is a friendlier option if you’re still wanting to try a retinoid into your regimen.
Montarbo Skincare:San Diego Chemical Peel thank you!!! I tried Retin-A for three and a half months and I felt like I ended up getting more damage than benefit! But I’m gonna try out lactic acid and pray for the best!! THANK YOU!!! Also thanks for the retinol recommendation!!!!
Does that cream help with hyperpigmentation? I got a burn from stupidly doing my own TCA 50 percent peel at home and I’m tan skin. The PIH is fading but it’s been two months and it still is discolored around my mouth area
I’m so sorry to hear, lactic acid does help with brightening. Using other brighteners such as vitamin c, Kojic acid, Alpha Arbutin, hydroquinone, and vitamin a are very helpful
I’ve tried TO 10 percent after I wash my face then a retin a cream and my skin peels a bit. So the only way it works is if I apply my moisturizer then the retin a cream then lactic acid. I’m just wondering if the retin a and lactic acid are going to penetrate
If you feel tolerant, you may use lactic first, moisturizer, wait 10-15min, then apply Retin a. Yes they will penetrate, Retin a works best when done consistent for max results as it takes time to work in the skin to regenerate
I’m like 444, a freaky reoccurring number for me.🤷🏻♀️🤪 Great video! I’ve made my own lactic acid facial using homemade yogurt, pumpkin purée and honey, followed by warm towels. ACV toner followed by a hyaluronic acid serum. Aging sucks.
Have you tested or have an opinion on Dr Dennis Gross universal Daily alpha beta peel? Is this the same as lactic acid?
I love his products. Definitely a different formulation. Mine is a bit stronger
@@MontarboSkinCareSanDiego Thanks Cody❤️
How often can you use it and can you use it if you are already using a chemical exfoliatant like the one from the ordinary
If it’s like my formula I would say once a week, you may use other acids if skin approves. The one from the Ordinary sounds fine as their solutions are milder
Cody, do you think it is better than glycolic acid?
Glycolic is off the hydroxy acid which is also in the same family. They work very similarly
I just bought The Ordinarys Lactic Acid 10% + HA.. and now looking at your video... how long do you recommend leaving it on the face for? And does this help with unclogging pores?)
I’ve been using the 5% for 2 years. Use it one to two times per week, after cleansing and toning then apply to your face, leave for 2 minutes and apply moisturizer. Wash off in the morning and you’re good to go. Don’t forget SPF!
Can it be mix in production of cream and is it as same as glycolic acid?
Yes there are formulas that are in a cream form made
Hi Cody. Can I use lactic acid under my eyes ? Tx
Hello dear.
How to use lactic acid and tretinoin.both in skincare routein plzzz reply me
Hi, that’s a very advanced routine but if you feel tolerant you can use the lactic first, then wait like 10 minutes or so before applying your form of vitamin a
Can i use my facial wash with lactic acid and vitamin c serum after? Or retinol cream after? Thank you!
You can use a Lactic face wash and apply vitamin c after on dry skin. Allow that to absorb before putting on retinol
@@MontarboSkinCareSanDiego thank you again..
I am using retinol A cream 0.025 for one hour per day so is it ok for me to use lactic acid 60% on my face ?
Is it possible to make 60% lactic acid of less percentage with a neutralizer
If you have dry skin but still have congestion(blackheads) will this also work well if it helps get rid of oiliness would it make my skin drier?
Yes this will help balance and train skin to retain moisture better. Has multiple benefits in dissolving build up, improving breakout and brightening. Using more water based moisture masks will help as well. Since it is an active treatment, the more you use, the more dry your skin will become then flake, like a light peel
@@MontarboSkinCareSanDiego awesome thank you so much for replying it really helps
Where can I get a similar 10% lactic acid in ukxx
I’m not familiar with a liquid solution but I have heard many great things about the Sunday Riley lactic.
I have two questions. I hope you will answer it🙏🏻 I want to know does lactic acid oxidized like vitamin c or not? How would i know if my lactic acid cannot be use anymore?
Hi that’s a great question it depends on if it has been out in the sun or outside or if the top has been off. Any product can become less potent if not sealed and stored correctly. Also timing is important, although the products may not be as strong it may still be used for some benefits.
@@MontarboSkinCareSanDiego but how would i know if the lactic acid is damage? Whether the color is changing or the smell or else? 😅
WTF I haven't gotten any notification for your channel in weeks 😩 I got some catching up to do
UA-cam’s notifications stopped working last year. Glad you catching up ❤️
I have the ordinary glycolic toner and I use acriten is it enough?
If you’re happy with the results stick with them
@@MontarboSkinCareSanDiego thank u dear
I have it in my soap it’s can light my darke knees?
That’s great, yes you may try. Might take some time or stronger solutions to add as the skin on the body is much tougher
Love all the amazing info you give us! Lactic or glycolic better? Love you!!!
Both are similar but lactic is tolerated on most skin types especially more sensitive. And it does help with hydration a little bit more than glycolic
@@MontarboSkinCareSanDiego Thank you so much!!!
Can you recommend a drugstore lactic acid please
Get the ordinary lactic acids less the 15 dollors
