@@OsiasArt I love using g_sabrrealisticcombat it makes Lightsaber combat more intense because while you can dismember Dark Jedi they can also dismember you.
Actually I found Tavion way tougher than Desann, she has higher ranking force powers at this point in the game, and her lightsaber skills are better than yours, and she has 375HP (Alot, for this point in the game). I beat Desann first time with Force Speed, whereas I remember Tavion taking several attempts.
I remember when I was eight and I was so out for blood when I ran into Tavion because she "killed" Jan! I was relieved when I heard she was still alive.
I remember my heart being broken when Jan died. Ik she didn’t really die. She was faitily wounded and then captured. She survived but as much as I knew or thought she was dead, I also thought ‘What if being dead is what Jan wants me to think so she can see how I’ll carry on thinking she is dead?’ Like Luke had said: Don’t use my teachings or this temple for individual gain or unspeakable purposes.
Brings back memories. This was just such an awesome game. Mechanically regarding combat, there isn't any modern game that plays like this did and that gives you as much control of the movement and saber swings. Games nowadays are focused on consoles rather than PC, and aesthetics over gameplay. The recent Jedi Fallen Order/Survivor games were good, but are unfortunately examples of this.
"Pray I find your master before he finds you". Spolier alert: Her prayers were successful in the end, cuz that's how we got the sequel, Jedi Academy. 😋
This scene seems way more emotional than anything seen in Jedi Academy thereafter, I must say. However, I never finished Jedi Outcast. Maybe I was just too young and too big of a noob at the time, but I could not find my way in most levels without a guide, which got tiresome after a while, so I stopped playing. Compared to JA, JO was a lot of trial, error and searching to be sure. I do not remember significant clues or something like that either. A slightly frustrating game.
@@OsiasArt I did not expect it to either, but as I have trouble keeping my heading in virtual environments at the best of times, Outcast's confusing level design and lack of minimap did not help. JA was comparatively very straight forward. Anyway, I doubt I will ever go back to JO, but I do at least have very fond memories of the multiplayer matches I fought with or against my younger brother :)
@@42ccb It's a shame that there was never another game in that series really. The emotional involvement and story telling combined with JA's mechanics, level design and variety missions ... Could have been great. Well, at least we got the new Jedi series now, which might not be to everyone's taste, but I like it very much.
She's not really Sith. Tavion is a Dark Jedi. Kyle made a mistake letting her live from the point of view of Galactic stability. As you know, she becomes the primary antagonist of Jedi Academy.
@@OsiasArt she was just a walking meme in JA, basically killed herself off. Desann was true badass. Storyline in JO was far superior in my opinion. Best star wars game ever, equally to kotor :))
Personally, I'd have Tavion offer to join Kyle and help him find & rescue Jan. The game would present you with a choice: Accept or decline her offer. If you decline, the game continues as it does now. If you accept, Tavion comes with you to Lenico Belt. At some point, Kyle and Tavion would split up so the gameplay doesn't suffer too much from having to haul an NPC around with you. Later they reunite aboard the Doomgiver. 🙂
"Because I'm not brave enough to die."
What a line
And it betrays a great deal about her true character. The kind of person she really is.
"Pray I find your master before he finds you" ngl, that was a badass bar
"Because I'm not brave enough to die" *dies horribly the next game in either timeline*
(Bacta isn't actually required here as you can use the Force to heal yourself)
Well she was being possessed by the spirit of Markos Ragnos. So she borrowed a little of his bravery.
@@aznsbd Finally Tavion went from a loser to a bigger loser
Ah, lots of good memories here!
She can talk the talk, but she sure can't walk the walk.
For the Force powers you have by this level in the game, Tavion is pretty tough; you're both on pretty much equal footing
I just don't actually use that many Force powers while playing Jedi Outcast.
I prefer lightsaber combat that much.

Anyone else had a crush on Tavion when you were younger?
Just me? Cool 8)
Bro, same here. In fact, Tavion was like my first crush ever.
When I was eight I hated that bitch's guts because I believed she killed Jan.
I think my crush on her as a kid messed me up a little
The game was great
Yes it was.
As good as i remember, it was most difficult fight in both: Jedi outcast and Jedi academy
Damn. Never to play that game. 😃 May have to check it out.
it's never too late!
