I always loved Kyle, he was definitely one of my favourite Star Wars characters, like Obi Wan and Han Solo combined and despite being kinda OP due to his video game protagonist status he was usually not too over the top in the same way Starkiller was, also given how wild the EU got he fit in pretty well power scale wise, he was really well written for the most part too. He's definitely the one part of the EU I miss most, possibly an unpopular opinion, but I'd sooner see Kyle made canon again before Revan not to say I'm not a fan of Revan, I just think Kyle is that little bit better.
This is my favorite character from my favorite Star Wars game and it is getting a remaster and I am so hyped. His story could very easily fit back into canon, and as an actor, I would love to play him. Also, does Jerick (or however you spell his name) look like Red Foreman from that 70s show to anybody else?
A version if Rogue One with Kyle would've tied in pretty well then too, could even set up potential future movies with Jedi Academy and Mysteries of the sith as well...oh well, Kyle Katarn is definitely the part of the EU I miss most and want to see brought back in some way, obviously there'd have to be some alterations now but I think there is definitely a way to rework Kyle's stories into the new canon.
@@cptsteele91 i did imagine a Kyle Katarn story set 5-10 yrs after ROTJ, and split into 3 part trilogy, and would serve as the build up leading to the rise of the 1st order, the attempt of creating a new republic to counter the imperial remnants and ofcourse have the characters like desann, jerec or even tavion to be central villains on each films making it correspond to the "3 act structure" that the SW saga is known for.
@carlo tortor that does sound cool, could tweak Jerec, Desann and Tavion (perhaps Jerec takes in Desann after the incident where he killed a fellow apprentice, then Desann takes over Jerecs group of dark Jedi, Tavion included) to be former inquisitors who became the Knights of Ren or an earlier iteration at least that would eventually go on to aid Snoke in corrupting Ben...

@@Emberson-9000 Exactly. Hell, he wasn’t even just enlisted, he was part of the Officer Corps and therefore got better training. And then he spent years as a Rebel mercenary while also self teaching himself some Force techniques before getting a lightsaber.
Damn I love Katarn as a character.
I read somewhere on Fandom wiki that in canon, he died while fighting Kylo Ren in the Jedi Temple coup and if that is true, I have a massive issue with it lmao.
Kyle Katarn is that guy
Superleague!!! Super Legends!!!😂😂😂🎉🎉❤❤
Kyler katarn is better than written character than ashoka tano and the mandalorian
And Cassian Andor
Agreed 100%
See how almost all EU stories interconnect with each other's in a organic way unlike in Disney soy wars
Said by a guy who hasn't read anything from the new canon 🙃. Also what a creative insult.
@@orbaitv5991 new canon books are boring 😴
The new Canon books fucking suck. They don't continue the story like the EU books did. They seek to fill in all of the gaps in the story that disney's shit writers created in the movies. I shouldn't be expected to pay more money for something that should have already been provided
@@derjude5758Sorry, but the two Thrawn-trilogys, Catalyst, Tarkin, Lords of the Sith, A New Dawn, Lost Stars, everything related to the High Republic, Jedi: Battle Scars (for as bad as its reputation always is), Servants of the Empire, the Padme-Trilogy (in a way), Dooku: Jedi Lost, Master and Apprentice, Leia: Princess of Alderaan, Dark Disciple, Black Spire, Battlefront: Twilight Company, Rise of the Red Blade, Ahsoka, Inferno-Squad, A Crash of Fate, Crimson Climb, The Legends of Luke Skywalker, Heir to the Jedi, Smugglers Run, Resistance Reborn, The Vow of Silver Dawn, Most Wanted, Phasma, the Alphabet-Squadron-trilogy, Weapon of a Jedi, Last Shot, Rebel Rising, Spark of the Resistance, Alien Species Vol. 1, The Princess and Scoundrel, the Certain Point of View-books and A Moving Target are literally saying no to you.
@@Lr.Laecro.Lirus3445I'll give you Tarkin and Catalyst, but Zahn and Luceno got phased out of writing for Star Wars and the rest of that list that I've read was not good.
At least you didn't mention Chunky Wendigo and his Aftermath series with the fart wedding.
what is yoour scource for calling jeric a exquist.....whatever that word is, he is and was one of 7 dark jedi, i cant find anything that says what you said he was
Check the wizards of the coast sourcebooks
UNKILL ABLE
Kyle fought Boba Fett on Nar Shadda, not Corascant
I want Kyle Katarn in Star Wars again. TV series or movie, I don't care.
Cassian Andor is heavily inspired by him.
@@ultraviolet540 yeah, very much
Epic charachter ngl
I always loved Kyle, he was definitely one of my favourite Star Wars characters, like Obi Wan and Han Solo combined and despite being kinda OP due to his video game protagonist status he was usually not too over the top in the same way Starkiller was, also given how wild the EU got he fit in pretty well power scale wise, he was really well written for the most part too.
He's definitely the one part of the EU I miss most, possibly an unpopular opinion, but I'd sooner see Kyle made canon again before Revan not to say I'm not a fan of Revan, I just think Kyle is that little bit better.
The real rogue 1
This is my favorite character from my favorite Star Wars game and it is getting a remaster and I am so hyped. His story could very easily fit back into canon, and as an actor, I would love to play him. Also, does Jerick (or however you spell his name) look like Red Foreman from that 70s show to anybody else?
Making Kyle Katarn and Mara Jade canon is the key to saving Star Wars.

Glad to see Barb let's y'all come up for air sometimes!

What finn supposed to be but they pushed rey
Yeesh... "Rimmer" isn't the best nickname lmao
To be honest, dark forces 2, and jedi outcast should have been the sequel trilogy.
@@cptsteele91 now thats even more clever or brilliant bro, i wish Disney could consider it maybe in the future, so many elements in the legends cannon could be implemented like maybe give a proper reason on why snoke could exist, even the EU palpatine clones does exists but they were executed well and also made sense, i like your idea on the inquisitors specially jerec's place in the story honestly they doo work
