I had 2 impacted teeth - growing sideways. They were removed while I was sedated. It all happenend while I was asleep. Everything went well. Few days of swelling and a few days of soups, ice creams, and Netflix. A good dentist makes everything fine.
@@omarzavala80 yup ~ everything went well. the doctor are very good. even the injection feels nothing cuz b4 that he already apply some anesthetic I think. The whole procedure feels nothing. So far I had finished a whole cup of yogurt milk smoothies and slept. Haven't need any pain killer so far~
@@chingwenkoh1884 nicee! Mine is tomorrow and I’m just nervous about how everything is gonna turn out. I also have to get two extra teeth out because they never fell when I was younger😟 but I’m kinda ok now since someone, recently, went through it and came out fine lol
Thanks for the helpful tips, Dr. Arezoo Nasiry from LA Dental Clinic! My surgery is next week. Do you have any specific dietary recommendations for the days leading up to the procedure?
HI @rienne89. Eat well and stay healthy leading up to your surgery. It's all about helping your body heal as fast as possible after the surgery. follow your doctor's recommendations regarding how many hours to be on an empty stomach. try to get a good night's rest also. Hope everything goes well.
@@TitusMonger Sorry you're having so much pain. take pain meds/ ice it and rest. have to give body time to recover. if not improving after first few days, check back with your doctor. unfortunately, you will have pain and swelling for a few days as others have said here.
@@TitusMonger Agree with the dentist's advice but you can also try rinsing your mouth with warm salt water several times a day as per kriss ai. It helped reduce the inflammation and soreness that I had few weeks ago 😄
having mine removed next week, quite nervous BUT i know i won't feel a thing because of the local anaesthetic, it's after that i am most nervous about, as soon as the anaesthetic wears off. can someone tell me if ibuprofen and paracetamol together will make any difference to lessening the pain???
@@LosAngelesDental I was so nervous before and leading up to the procedure, but my surgeon was super calming and reassuring that it would not be bad. They put the IV in which actually helped me relax a lot more and took some of my anxiety away before falling asleep (I thought I would be freaking out at this point but it was the most calming part I would say). Anyways started to become more coherent about 10 minutes after I was woken up. No pain really just a lot of blood which surprisingly did not freak me out but I still wanted all that blood cleaned up so I gently dabbed the blood off of my lips and tongue which helped. I’m on day 3 now and the pain has only barely increased it’s just raw and I can tell it needs time to heal. As long as I don’t push it or accidentally hurt them then the pain is almost non existent. Been taking my medicine and using an ice pack on and off and I have not had much swelling. Everyone told me it was not going to be too bad but now that it’s over I truly believe them. My main problem was the anxiety before the procedure. Pulling teeth has always freaked me out due to being a bit traumatized at the dentist as a kid. Long story short I was held down and forcefully had a tooth removed without enough Novocain, as an 8 year old... anyways I now know that the main thing to help with anxiety it to choose a dentist you trust and feel comfortable with. I’ll be doing my best to heal up and get on with my normal life.

Can't tell if I'm getting local or IV since they only told me not to eat for atleast 8 hours before the surgery. I might just be dumb and overlooking what you said, which I'm sure I am, but which one would that most likely be?
