I actually got 6 wisdom teeth removed 4 days ago and I’m so freaking miserable. You have no idea how much of my happiness comes from eating this is torture
Got my 4 wisdom teeth removed 3 days ago, and honestly I had a great time! Yeah I was nervous and anxious but overall it was very welcoming and it wasn’t as bad as people say. I got my wisdom teeth removed today, had a mocha frappe 5hrs after the extraction. Doctor suggested to not have rice at all as we think its soft and ok to consume, but gets lodged in the socket. So I cooked rice and lentils, cooled it, blended and drank. Its protein rich so keeps me full and don’t have many options, so just have to make it work. Planning on eating banana smoothie, oats porridge blended, scrambled egg, cottage cheese, yoghurt, protein shakes, guacamole (if I add onion and garlic, will blend it for sure) , dip and eat bread in cold coffee for the next 7 days.. 👍🏼
Thank you doc. I’m pushing 50 and has one wisdom tooth removed since it was a cavity. I pushed it off for 6 months - fear - but finally for it done today. It was causing me discomfort in my head / neck and am looking forward to moving on. Thank you for providing this valuable information.
I got two of mine removed 7 hrs ago I feel nothing and I like that I a was expecting a lot of pain but luckily so far not much. I want some chicken tho so bad I'm hungry 😩 I guess hungry is better than feeling miserable so I'm blessed thank you God
Dr Choi is the very Best in the business, he pulled my widom a few years ago and my recovery was smooth, quicker than expected. I also had to have another unexpected extraction on a premolar yesterday which was a lost cause cavity, meaning no filling would help not even the pulpotomy that was done on it by my other dentist who should have caught the cavity a lot sooner since I always saw him every 6 months without fail( maybe he needs to use 3D xrays) when a simple filling would have sufficed. I went back to Dr. Choi who is an oral surgeon and he did an impeccable job as always. IT was a very hard pull probably due to the prior work the old dentist did trying to salvage the tooth but again I am healing fine. Dr. Choi knows his craft and is very pleasant too.
For such a simple and common procedure, recovery takes such a long time for wisdom teeth. I’m on day 5 after having all 4 removed and feel completely fine other than slight soreness and I’m dying for some pizza or pork belly.
I had my wisdom tooth removed on Friday.. until now I live on water and yogurt.. I couldn't eat.. this makes me really cry.. and the severe pain makes me not sleep for a whole night.. I'm really tired. I want a solution, please.
Had my lower wisdom tooth removed (element 48) and 3 jabs in the gums to numb the area. Sadly the tooth broke and they also had to cut the roots before the lower part came off. No pain meds needed. Its sore but not aweful. Lots of cold compress cooling. First evening just has some onion soup. Second evening lasagna. To whoever is reading this and is nervous. The pain will go away and this will save you from having pain or worse symptoms in the future.
I’m on day number one post-op and holy hell it hurts. Even my smoothies and shakes hurts to swallow. I’m glad I learned to stay away from seeds the last thing anyone of us wants is another infection and getting re-opened.
I’ll have all four removed tomorrow and this is so interesting as my doctor urged me to not eat any dairy because it apparently causes infections especially while on antibiotics
Eating lentil soup with very soft rice. It’s basically mashed rice and mashed potatoes with boiled lentils. Also drink ensure protein max. 1 gram sugar and 30g protein. After eating, clean with warm water mixed with salt and also clean the gap gently with a gauze pad to remove left over Food. Take 500mg amoxicillin 3 times a day to kill any bacteria and to promote healing. Your dentist should prescribe it. Especially if diabetes runs in your family, you’ll be more prone to bacterial infections.
I just go my wisdom teeth out and I can barely open my mouth enough to even put a spoon in. I can see my jaw bone on the bottom left, and I don't know if I should see my doctor. That bottom left side is so tender and sore even when I ice it and take my meds. I wash with salt water after eating, and it doesn't help. I've been eating pudding and broth mostly and puréed veggies. What should I do?
I would still go in and see the doc on monday and have him take a look. in the meantime, keep icing all weekend. do salt water rinses in the meantime. take your antibiotics and pain meds on the clock
So what happened? If you can see the bone in the open socket or an adjacent tooth down inside, it likely means the blood clot has dissolved or dislodged. Final outcome?
I am diebetic and got my wisdom tooth remove. It took way longer for me to heal. 1st day - pain, no swelling, eat soup. 2nd day - pain+, swelling+, eat poridge. 3rd day - pain++, swelling++, cant eat. 4th day - pain+++, swellimg+++, fever. 5th day - antibiotic+, pain++, swelling++ 6th day - swelling ++, pain 7th day - still swelling++ I havent eaten solid food, and I am afraid coming to work while still having swelling.

Got my horizontally impacted right bottom wisdom tooth removed 3 days back. The plan was to remove both the right bottom and upper tooth, but couldn't happen. The bottom tooth was much more difficult to remove than the X Ray suggested and the root was close to some nerve ( that's what the surgeon told me). It took 1.5 hours of cutting, drilling, and cranking with all tools to remove it. Unfortunately, the process was excruciating. The doctor gave me local anesthesia three times and even that didn't help. By the time it was removed I was so exhausted that I was shaking and couldn't stand up. Lesson learnt: I am never getting my wisdom tooth removed again without sedative or GA 😭
Same exact thing happened to me. Except they just pulled that shit. It was 15 20 min of hell . I though I was going to pass out. I had to really focus not to pass out
Had a similar experience yesterday. The procedure took a whole hour. At some point, I had to be given Pethidine; it calmed me a bit but the pain was excruciating all the same. Been spooning smoothie and Greek yogurt since yesterday. Craving all kinds of food but can't even dare.
the both roots of my wisdom tooth were holding my nerve, it hug the nerve . even after more and more local anesthesia, including the one which injected to the bone, those were not helping . i could feel every touch. the vibration was directly sent to the nerve, my jaws feels like after being punched. the dentist and nurses were guilty alot watching me trembling to cry during 1 hours procedure . at the end. the dentist free me from any charge. yay!, i got impacted wisdom tooth removal free of charge . after 3 hours from the surgery, my jaw move normally, no hurt, less swelling. the dentist did the great job.
Hhhh, I thought it was only me, It took more than one hour to remove it and they shaked me until I am exhausted, I m astill swelling and it's one week 😭😭😭
I've just got 3 tooth extraction yesterday, and I just drinks milk for 24 hours and I now so tired so I just swallow chopped steaks whole without chewing, almost passed out.
It’s been over a week since I got both of my wisdom teeth removed. Just the bottom ones. I still can’t open my mouth that much and it’s made it hard for me to brush both my teeth and tongue. I still can’t chew on anything either. I’m stuck with liquids and I’m so over it. I’m craving a burger so bad 😭. I don’t know how much longer until I’ll be able to eat normal again.
I got my tooth removed 10 years ago and the blood clot came out when I was yelling at someone and Vicodin didn't even help with the pain it took 4 days and 2 prescription of antibiotics to get better. This Friday I woke up with Jaw pain by Monday which was Yesterday the infection was in my throat, they pulled my tooth yesterday, and I started taking Antibiotics and sipping 1/2 water 1/2 lemon aid mix when I got home, I took Tylenol because they prescribed Ibuprofen which I can not take, and everything was closed. By midnight I had taken 2nd antibiotic, 8oz water down lemon aide and a Tylenol I was able to go to sleep with little pain, and by today taking the antibiotics Tylenol, and drinking waterdown lemon aid I feel much better, I was able to eat mashed potato's with gravy, 2 steak fingers, a onion 1/2 soft bun and tea, chewing on the good side taking my time and being Very careful chewing and swallowing, it was the first real food since Saturday night. I was able to go outside and water my yard and tend to my fish pond. If you want to know what makes the difference it's the blood clot, Make sure you don't pull it out with the gaze, don't go to sleep with the gaze in your mouth, slowly sip everything you drink, and don't eat anything until 24 hour later, don't brush your teeth or rinse your mouth, or mess with it, just rest don't even talk, and try not to lose the blood clot within the first 24 hours. If you loss the blood clot it will be very painful for days and take longer to heal. Once the bleeding slows and the blood looks thicker than it will clot, which you should stop using the gaze or it could pull the blood clot out when you remove it. Look at the blood and notice the difference, when it looks thicker stop using the gaze. Good luck to any of you reading this in the future looking for help.
I wish I would have gone to a practice like yours. You seem very good with anxious patients, which I am. A good bedside manner. Today, I had my wisdom tooth extraction done in Bartonville, TX, and it was one of the worst experiences I've ever had with a doctor. The doctor was yelling at me for asking questions... :(
On the first day, I didn’t eat anything solid, but today (the third day), I drank smoothies with small seeds, ate yogurt with seeds, and ate ice cream, baked potatoes, and eggs. Do I need to worry? I ate only using my left side and not the right, which I had removed. And I washed my mouth three times so nothing got stuck even tho I have stitches. My dentist didn't told me anything.
I’m not sure if #18 is a Wisdom tooth but I just had this extracted today 05/11/23 due to a major infection, I had, which had caused my tooth to be mobile. Well when I got there and they went to check me out, I was surprised to find out that they were doing a bone graft. I said a bone graft? For what? I had no idea! The doctor said it was to prevent my gum from collapsing and in case I wanted to replace this tooth, number 18, I will be ready to go. My question for you is number one is this my wisdom tooth? And number two is a bone graph necessary, I am 46 years old. Thank you doctor for your time.

Roll back to about 6 weeks ago, I had a terrible time with my back tooth. I've got TMD, and my tooth cracked due to this, so my tooth wasn't actually impacted. Anyway, after weeks of hell, and I mean hell, major infection in the tooth, course of amoxycillen, then metronidazole... I finally had it pulled Thursday just gone. The pain is still kicking about and it's horrendous! Who knew a tooth could give you so much aggro 😕🦷👀🥺

Same here but mine was today, is it because that side had an impacted tooth?
@@crazycheii Both sides did, but perhaps my left side was more impacted. It's been almost a week and a half since I had them extracted and my jaw finally feels normal and the pain went away after day 4 or 5 for me. So glad I didn't get dry socket or any infections. Hope your healing process goes well!

Got my 4 wisdom teeth removed 3 days ago, and honestly I had a great time! Yeah I was nervous and anxious but overall it was very welcoming and it wasn’t as bad as people say. I’ve never been sedated before and honestly I don’t know how to explain it but in easy words it’s like a really long blink, and boom it’s all done!😊

We bought a food processor and blender after my surgery. We’ve literally blended anything and everything😂 we baked a chicken pot pie and thinned it out with chicken stock and turned it into a soup by tossing it in the food processor. I’m lactose intolerant so I’m really limited to my choices lol

I’m having a cold brew coffee right now. I had a top back molar removed this morning.

Just one?
Thank you doc. I’m pushing 50 and has one wisdom tooth removed since it was a cavity. I pushed it off for 6 months - fear - but finally for it done today. It was causing me discomfort in my head / neck and am looking forward to moving on. Thank you for providing this valuable information.

Pizza omg me too
I had my wisdom tooth removed on Friday.. until now I live on water and yogurt.. I couldn't eat.. this makes me really cry.. and the severe pain makes me not sleep for a whole night.. I'm really tired. I want a solution, please.
I’m on day 5 and I pretty much feel normal, except slight soreness more near my sockets but I can open wide and chew instinctively
Is it ok to water fast after wisdom teeth removal?
I’ll have all four removed tomorrow and this is so interesting as my doctor urged me to not eat any dairy because it apparently causes infections especially while on antibiotics

Eating lentil soup with very soft rice. It’s basically mashed rice and mashed potatoes with boiled lentils.
Also drink ensure protein max. 1 gram sugar and 30g protein.
After eating, clean with warm water mixed with salt and also clean the gap gently with a gauze pad to remove left over
Food.
Please give us an update
So what happened? If you can see the bone in the open socket or an adjacent tooth down inside, it likely means the blood clot has dissolved or dislodged. Final outcome?
I am diebetic and got my wisdom tooth remove. It took way longer for me to heal.

I think you should make a entire list of foods that you CAN NOT eat at all till the extracted area is healed and drinks and not example foods, that way people will be more careful for sure.
I had to really focus not to pass out
I couldn’t image 1.5 hours. I will be out next time to
Had a similar experience yesterday.
Blood clot came out when you were yelling at someone 🤣🤣🤣
I wish I would have gone to a practice like yours. You seem very good with anxious patients, which I am. A good bedside manner.
Today, I had my wisdom tooth extraction done in Bartonville, TX, and it was one of the worst experiences I've ever had with a doctor. The doctor was yelling at me for asking questions... :(
sorry to hear..
Thanks I just got mine out yesterday and this helped out a lot
