  • The Purpose of Braille Skateboarding is to grow the number of people who skateboard by teaching, motivating, and inspiring. We do this by making skateboard tutorial videos covering every how to skateboard video under the sun moon and stars. By learning ourselves and showing that no matter how old or young you can learn to skate. Part of this is also providing a suggested path to take in learning to skate. Then we inspire NEW people to learn to skate by making videos outside the very small world of skateboarding. We turn an ipad into a skateboard, skate on a big screen TV, and even a door. We focus not only on the creativity here but building the board and then all the way through to seeing what tricks can be done on it. Skaters have always been a creative bunch of people they take the normal ideas of society and change it to create their own world. Most people see a set of stairs we see a kick flip going down them. Our goal here is to take people that may never have thought of skateboarding before and get them on a board.
Brands can email kylie@brailleskateboarding.com for media inquiries.
I have created many ways to achieve the above goal and will list them all below. Different ways for different people so have a look through and see what fits you best.
“You Make it We Skate it” - our most popular series enjoyed bo skaters and non skaters alike - • YOU MAKE IT WE SKATE IT
“Skate anything” - our series where we search out what we can possibly make skate able - • SKATE ANYTHING
Skate board tutorials - learn for free and on your own on UA-cam - • LEARN TO SKATEBOARD VI...
“Worst Board at the Park” - we find the worst board and replace it with a new one for tricks. Its all love supporting the community - • WORST BOARD AT THE PARK
Skate support - need help with that trick well watch the video here and send in your clip. We will do our best to make the video quickly but we have a lot of submissions. The end result gets posted on @Brailleskate Instagram - www.brailleska...
“Skateboarding Made Simple” - instead of UA-cam tutorials where you can get lost here is a guided lesson plan to take you through the basics and beyond. Instant digital download and get started - www.brailleska...
Skateboard coaching - this is a totally new idea in the world of skateboarding. Get a list of tricks to learn in and submit your clips to a skateboard coach who walks you through how to land them. This is done through direct text messages and video sharing. The best way to guarantee success on your board as you have a person there to help, guide, and motivate you. This service is called “Braille Army Plus” and is a membership with a lot of benefits - www.brailleska...
In person lessons - if you live in the area sign up for lessons - www.brailleska...
Get started with a good complete skateboard, the best beginner complete - www.brailleska...

I had so much trouble with this trick for months but I thought to myself "if I don't learn it now I'll have to deal with learning it in the future, it's not magically going to come to me." So I had a 2 hour skate sesh, learned them regular and nollie, and that helped me so much with doing tricks on my board I did a kickflip after first try

I just want to say that I seriously am so grateful for this channel being made and I love the work you put in to help the world of skateboarding. I have been watching the whole crew make videos for the past year or so and it has helped me out so much with my skating. I had tried to learn a lot of the tricks i know now in the past but just never could get it down which lead me to quit skating. But now thanks to you guys I have learned the basics and started gettin down some tougher flip tricks. Seriously so stoaked to skate this summer and not be that bad and keep progressing. Keep it up and much love to everyone at braille and all the other homies that collab with you guys you are all amazuhzing! Btw I am 22 years old almost 23 so to all u other dudes n dudettes that feel ur to old to start skating again just know it isn't and that u can go out there have fun and progress on your board just go do itttttt.

It's one of the 2 that I have a hard time trying to land. This and bs 180s I struggle a lot with. I can land 3 very basic tricks and one basic trick in a fakie stance. Idk if some beginners are still sending you videos to help them but me as a beginner myself would like to send some for some help. Thank you and keep up the great work with the Awesome and fun videos.

The key to this trick and with all the shove-it variations, is to put your back foot on the middle of the tail an scoop with it. This way, you'll never land primo, spin it the exact way you want, catch it higher and be more consistant with it. The more spin you want, as if you want to bigspin for example, the more scoop you have to apply.

Dude I know this might sound crazy but I've been skating since I was 12 and I'm now 29. I did take about an eight-year break but just recently got back to it. I couldn't ever do front side shuvs. It's not that I'm bad or a beginner skater either. I can do varial kickflip, hardflip, 360 flips, kickflips, backside shove it. I can even do a Impossible on a kicker. But every time I go to frontside show I end up flipping a hardflip lol. I think it's because I never really learned how to do front side shuvs and went straight to hardflip. After watching this video I got them down better but they still want to flip a little bit. I'm working on keeping my front foot up more on the board like you showed to keep that from happening

I always go through my warm up when I skate, all the 180s and all the pop shove its. The regular frontside pop shove it always gave me trouble until I figured out that, for me, I had to do a dragging scoop motion, scooping it forward because I couldn't adjust my jump to follow the board. But I know for the best looking frontside pop shove its, you have to jump back and behind you to your right, popping straight down, and to your left if your doing it switch.

Finally tried to learn this trick and after an hour I got maybe 3 really sketchy ones. These tips should help a lot. Is there a way to pop it less? I feel like I have the motion down but it pops so high that it's hard to get both feet back on. I also need to learn how to catch it with my front foot. I think that would help a lot too

Great channel Arron, I came across it and rediscovered my love for skateboarding. I would really love to get back into skating but I feel like I would break a board as soon as I got on it. I guess Im wondering where the limit is, how big is to big for a normal (8in) board? I would be sad to spend $100 making a complete just to break the board, 5'10" 230lbs

The real secret to keeping the board underneath you for Front Shuvs is where you place your weight. You want to lean towards the tail and back towards your heels with your back straight. Weight placement is key for any trick.

I’m having a problem with getting my front foot out of the way, like I would try it and my front foot would slide up the board and make it Ollie

The no comply frontside shove it, taught me the back foot board pop for this one, but I've yet to have the nerve to try it with the front foot airborne and over the board. I'm 43 and relearning alot of stuff.
The adjustment to the narrower modern popsicle board with the rounded tail, is really weird. Kickflips and ollies, are very different for me, with having that front foot so much farther forward than how I learned them.

damn this was very helpful i always when i did fronside shuv its would just push my foot forward but i didnt know it would be so much easier to pop down then push forward just made this trick 10x easier :D on to my hardflips

When I learned those, I was taught to try it of your nose first, like a nollie front shuv with no pop, it helps get the motion down and how your legs should swing out in an airwalk motion. Second step is just a backside shuv it, then learn the pop.
